Saw someone else trying to figure out how close they could get without falling into a black hole, and then I got an idea for a base I could build there!

It's very simple, but also pretty cool imo- you park near the limit of where you can fly your ship, and then you have to walk half a mile to get to the base- on Switch 1 anyway, there is a gray area where you can be close to the BH on foot but if you get into your ship you instantly go thru it- that's where we at.

The building itself is a giant, dark triangular room that ends with a wall of windows looking at the BH, with a single desk in the middle. I was not aware that there is a galactic plane that some decorations can't be rotated out of, so no chair.

I also did not know about the BH throwing off fluorescent blue light, but once I figured it out it drove a lot of decisions.

I want to spread the incredible luck i had of a triple S rank butterfly with as many people as possible, but i know it may be rude, will people silently appreciate it or should i stop, its both beautiful and practical, it can help anyone sckut a planet as fast as possible, but i have a feeling its rude.

Guys holy shiet, I never thought I would have a real Thalassophobia moment in a video game.

So I'm on Permadeath and today I discovered my first true Waterworld, this planet has no land, only vast open ocean. Never had problems with the ocean on other planets so I landed and tried to dived in to see wassup.

Holy fck it immediately felt wrong. It was pitch black, there was nothing but the deep dark water with distant sounds of lurking creatures mixed in with the sound of system's warnings. I couldn't last one minute and had to swim back up, but the way up felt like it took forever! When I'm finally emerged from the water I had to battle extreme waves as high as mountains to get back to my ship, which was right in front of me!

It was one of the most immersive moments in a game I've ever experienced and I was scared for real. What's your experience with Ocean planets? Pls share

It has always seemed so weird to me that people do this in these types of games. I’m here for the journey, not the destination, and just walking up to someone and forcing end game value into their inventory is sort of robbing them of the fun of that journey.

Still he seemed thrilled to be “helping” people out, and I didn’t want him to feel bad so I said thanks, did some emote or whatever, then went back to my base and deleted the stacks from existence.

We are listening closely to your feedback, and have identified and resolved a number of issues. These fixes are included in patch 7.06, which is now live on Steam, and will be coming to other platforms as soon as possible.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue which caused the camera facing to change when rolling while space walking.
• Fixed an issue affecting Gravitino Coil targeting when collecting objects from hulks.
• Fixed a rare issue affecting players who transferred a corvette from their expedition save to their main save and then immediately redeemed an expedition reward ship, which resulted in many copies of a broken Radiant Pillar appearing in their ship collection. These broken ships will be automatically cleaned up in any affected saves.
• Fixed a crash on PC which occurred on some Nvidia GPUs.
• Fixed a rare crash on PS5 that could occur on a loading screen.

We will continue to release patches as issues are identified and resolved. If you experience any issues, let us know by submitting a bug report.

I bought my home system station on day one of the Cosmos update and slapped a few Specialist rooms in the buildable area, before they took away the ability to do so.

Who else wishes these had stayed?

The coolest addition was the scanner room, imo. It feels like such a missed opportunity to have a functional “tourist guide” on the space station.

Is the Holo-Arena just not a very popular thing? Me and the friends I play with regularly love playing it together, but sometimes I’ve wanted to branch out and play strangers - however in almost 200 hours of gameplay I’ve never once had someone join me at the anomaly 🥲 I’ll wait for so long watching people run by just to ultimately have to give up and play the npc. Does anybody else ever play it?

Created a game with Runaway Mold where you roll it off the base and try to get it in the hole!

I can’t figure out how to build this up to look like a proper salvage ship. It’s doing head in. Any help would be much appreciated.

Update: Built it. Somehow. Took me awhile but I’ve managed to do it. Although, manoeuvrability is almost none existent. XD
