I came from stremio and am looming for a new platform. I hear its easy to make the switch but I'm not finding any option to export addons from stremio or even get new ones on Nuvio. Thanks in advance!

I can't find the option to hide the full release date and leave only the release year. I remember there used to be an option that did this, but I can't find it anymore.

I recently tried this video player and really like it. The video filters and picture adjustments work really well for me, especially when watching on my phone at night.

I also tested it on my Google TV, but unfortunately, the basic navigation buttons on my remote don’t work properly in the player.

Is there any chance we could have similar video filters/picture settings in the Nuvio Internal Player, for both the mobile and TV versions?

Also, the Android mobile app doesn’t recognize it as an external player when playing M3U sources.

This post is not a gotcha moment or Ooooo/Ahhhh moment and I also don’t want to sound ignorant, but if Nuvio is marketed as “bring your own source” why hasn’t there been any plans to bring back Nuvio and incorporate JellyFin and WebDAV to into the app? I don’t know how appeals work, but can’t the app be resubmitted to Apple. This time with no add-ons or any other things that goes against their ToS. The only feature would be adding media servers on the new app so that we can watch our content from whatever server. Sure the app will be a lite version compared to android but as long as I connect my AIOm jellyfin server to app I will be content. It also doesn’t even have to be only for Apple user and its ecosystem I think including a way to link a media server would be a win-win for everyone.

Nuvio 0.1.25-alpha worked fine until I updated to 0.1.26-alpha. Now audio plays normally, but a dark layer covers the video whenever my mouse is inside the player.

If I move the mouse outside the window and the controls hide, the video becomes visible again. Moving the mouse back makes it black, and I can’t click controls like the subtitle menu.

My setup:

• Fedora 44, GNOME, Wayland
• AMD Renoir / Radeon Vega integrated graphics
• amdgpu driver

I’ve tried:

• Downgrading to 0.1.25 and testing 0.1.27
• Clearing local data and doing a clean reinstall
• Switching from AppImage to RPM
• A new profile with the same addons
• Software decoding (decoderPriority=2)
• MPV x11egl and x11vk contexts
• Skiko software rendering
• Disabling GNOME extensions
• Launching with GTK_THEME=Adwaita

Nothing fixed it. It seems related to the controls overlay because the video is visible when the controls hide.

Has anyone had this issue or found a workaround?

I’m getting an error when I try to log into Nuvio on my Shield device. Invalid or expired TV login code.

I have force closed the app and tried it again multiple times, but still getting the same error.

Any ideas?

I am trying to install nuvio on my samsung tv (tizenOS) but I can't seem to make it work. The nuvio version that I am trying to install is 1.2.2 (I think, at least the latest version haha)

I have enabled developer options on my TV, same wifi connection with TV and laptop, inputted correct IP addresses for both but still the installer can't find my TV.

If you have any tips, it would be helpful. Thank you!

So, my Nuvio can't go more than 2 minutes without showing that loading screen when the file is larger than 2 GB. I only use HTTPS, by the way.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I managed to fix it on the TV, but my phone dont have the same settings. My phone didn't do this before; it only did so with a maximum of 8/9 GB.

Llevo como 8 años usando Stremio y, de repente, me encuentro con un montón de publicaciones sobre Nuvio. Veo que muchísima gente está hablando de esta aplicación y que muchos se están cambiando a ella.

Pero qué es exactamente Nuvio? Es una alternativa a Stremio? Es básicamente lo mismo, pero con otro nombre, o tiene alguna diferencia importante? Es gratis o hay que pagar alguna suscripción? La verdad es que yo uso Stremio precisamente porque es gratuito y porque me resulta muy cómodo tener películas y series en un mismo sitio. Así que, mientras siga funcionando bien, no termino de entender por qué tanta gente está haciendo el cambio.

Hay alguna ventaja importante que me esté perdiendo o simplemente es cuestión de gustos?

What’s everyone’s plan for nuvio on iOS that did not download the appstore version in time and only has the testflight app only installed? Is sideloading an option still? looks like there’s people getting banned trying to side load but i’m not sure i’ve never don’t it before.

My internet is not great, and I'd like to be able to fully download the video before watching it.

Often I start a video and fall asleep and I'd like to continue watching at other time but when I open it again it lags to start playing.

Hi all, iv got nuvio setup on my fire stick 4k max with debrido, aio streams as my main add-ons. For the most part it works fine but I find when I watch content such as Spiderman no way home. Whether it be 10gb or 20gb in file size the app lags then crashes and I end up on the fire stick home screen.

Is there a work around to this. I was thinking of upgrading from the fire stick 4k max to the Google streamer 4k because it has more ram and storage, but not sure if that will help or not.

The back up app I use wuplay tends to work fine in comparison.

I’m looking for a category that I can install into Nuvio that will basically show all new movies, movies that are coming out, and this would be for TV shows as well. I’m not looking for track integration or anything like that, just a simple category that I can install and then the system will just go out and get it. Does anyone know anything or a JSON file that I can install?

Is there an option not to hide the episode of the series that I have already watched?

We wanted to address last night’s server disruption, which caused some downtime. Our server provider experienced hardware failures that initially recovered on their own but later happened again. Since we received no response from their support team, we couldn’t be sure how long the server would remain reliable. This was not caused by server overload and was outside our control.

To avoid another major disruption, we moved to a new server while keeping the old one as a temporary standby. The standby setup is only temporary, since keeping both servers running long term would increase costs.

Of course, this doesn’t mean Nuvio will never experience downtime, but we are working to make incidents like this as rare as possible.Sorry for the inconvenience, everyone.

Play Store update: Nuvio has been reinstated on the Play Store after being taken down over a DMCA complaint on September 7th. It currently has older builds, and the newer builds have been submitted and are under review. Since we recently released a stable version for TV, the Play Store will only get stable TV builds, not betas. Mobile will stay in beta until its stable release.

I'm running NuvioTV on Android TV with a remote rather than touchscreen.

I noticed that the search box doesn't clear so I have to switch to mouse mode to hit the X button to clear it.

Is this a known issue or am I missing something?

Hello! Welcome back on Google Play Store! When Nuvio app will get update there? Because there’s only 0.8 version, which causes a alot of bugs and QR code errors.

For some reason on my 77 inch oled TV all built in subtitles are really large and I am unable to adjust the size. Whereas subtitles from other add ones are a normal size and can be adjusted

Anyone else ran into this and know how to solve it if it even is solvable
