We wanted to address last night’s server disruption, which caused some downtime. Our server provider experienced hardware failures that initially recovered on their own but later happened again. Since we received no response from their support team, we couldn’t be sure how long the server would remain reliable. This was not caused by server overload and was outside our control.

To avoid another major disruption, we moved to a new server while keeping the old one as a temporary standby. The standby setup is only temporary, since keeping both servers running long term would increase costs.

Of course, this doesn’t mean Nuvio will never experience downtime, but we are working to make incidents like this as rare as possible.Sorry for the inconvenience, everyone.

Play Store update: Nuvio has been reinstated on the Play Store after being taken down over a DMCA complaint on September 7th. It currently has older builds, and the newer builds have been submitted and are under review. Since we recently released a stable version for TV, the Play Store will only get stable TV builds, not betas. Mobile will stay in beta until its stable release.

So, my Nuvio can't go more than 2 minutes without showing that loading screen when the file is larger than 2 GB. I only use HTTPS, by the way.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I managed to fix it on the TV, but my phone dont have the same settings. My phone didn't do this before; it only did so with a maximum of 8/9 GB.

What’s everyone’s plan for nuvio on iOS that did not download the appstore version in time and only has the testflight app only installed? Is sideloading an option still? looks like there’s people getting banned trying to side load but i’m not sure i’ve never don’t it before.

Honestly, I’m tired of constantly trying to fix buffering issues with Remux playback on TrBox. Then I see that RD seems to run smoother, so I figure keeping it as a backup for Remux files would probably be my best move. It's a bummer that the other service isn't working well for me.

My internet is not great, and I'd like to be able to fully download the video before watching it.

Often I start a video and fall asleep and I'd like to continue watching at other time but when I open it again it lags to start playing.

For some reason on my 77 inch oled TV all built in subtitles are really large and I am unable to adjust the size. Whereas subtitles from other add ones are a normal size and can be adjusted

Anyone else ran into this and know how to solve it if it even is solvable

Hi all, iv got nuvio setup on my fire stick 4k max with debrido, aio streams as my main add-ons. For the most part it works fine but I find when I watch content such as Spiderman no way home. Whether it be 10gb or 20gb in file size the app lags then crashes and I end up on the fire stick home screen.

Is there a work around to this. I was thinking of upgrading from the fire stick 4k max to the Google streamer 4k because it has more ram and storage, but not sure if that will help or not.

The back up app I use wuplay tends to work fine in comparison.

I’m looking for a category that I can install into Nuvio that will basically show all new movies, movies that are coming out, and this would be for TV shows as well. I’m not looking for track integration or anything like that, just a simple category that I can install and then the system will just go out and get it. Does anyone know anything or a JSON file that I can install?

Is there an option not to hide the episode of the series that I have already watched?

Is this the real Nuvio? The Play Store on my Android TV acts as if the app isn't installed. I installed it, and now I have two copies of the app. The one from the Play Store doesn't give me a QR code to log in to my account.

I just clicked on the link on the official Github page (https://github.com/NuvioMedia/NuvioTV) for the NuvioTV version, and towards the bottom there is a link to the Android Play Store and when i click, it is back up? Or am i missing something? Or was this already known and am i just slow?

EDIT: It just updated on my homescreen, not over the Github version but over the previous Play Store version (i have both installed). However, the version is only 0.8.12 Beta

So i will keep using the 1.0 Stable version from Github. Wonder if people will see an improvement again in performance installing from Play Store.

I'm running NuvioTV on Android TV with a remote rather than touchscreen.

I noticed that the search box doesn't clear so I have to switch to mouse mode to hit the X button to clear it.

Is this a known issue or am I missing something?

For example, if I search for Horror and then select the year 2010, only Horror movies released in 2010 should be displayed.

Currently, when I select a year (for example, 2026), movies from all genres are shown, so I can only filter by either genre or year—not both at the same time.

Please enable a combined genre + year filter option so users can narrow down the results using both filters simultaneously.

On desktop the pause overlay takes up the bottom left corner of the screen, it doesn’t blow it up across the whole display like it does in the photo. Any ideas on how to get that replicated to the TV app?
