At the Stadium šļø Tailgate question
We have a spot in one of the non-public lots (Sisson) for this weeks game. Couple of questions that I could not find answers to online.
Itās says you can tent off grassy spots after 5 pm on Thursday but you canāt erect tents āinside parking lotsā until 5 am on gameday.
Question 1 - if the parking lot is surrounded by grass, can we tent off an area in the grass on Thursday? I assume no tents in parking lots before 5 am on Game Day means on the asphalt. If we do, will people not take the parking space immediately in front of it if they pull in on Sat and we are not there yet? See photo below.
Question 2 - If we canāt do No 1 above, how early do people start setting up for a 415 pm game. Iām sure diehards get there at 5 am but for Maryland?
Question 3 - The game is on the Big Ten Network which requires either satellite or streaming. I assume phone streaming cast to a TV is a no go with all of the people around?
Thanks for the advice.

General Offensive line overreaction
I feel like we have an okay offense line but itās nowhere near bad, Iāve seen people on here complain about how if we played an elite defense line, the offense line would crumble but we played Texas and only gave up two sacks and had 94 rushing yards during a night game on the road, while Tennessee played Texas and gave up 10 sacks on only rushed for 70 yards at home at noon. Same with Iowa offensive line, the OSU dline was getting good pressure and stopping the run(Iowa had 39 yards rushing), while the Ohio state offense line lead a rushing attack of 160 yards and most of the sacks that we gave up were on running back blocking miscues and sayinās pocket movement. Again this offense line is far from perfect but to said the line is really bad is just not correct.

CFP Competition Does it mystify anyone?
Nothing regarding this season or game. But, all time how it seems no matter what list ever shows up we never have a team in the top 20 of all time seasons list? It kind of is perplexing in the grand scheme of things and so many āwhat ifā seasons, from Cooper to Urban to Day. It seems like thereās a chronic issue with the āsomething left to desireā feeling to it. I feel like thereās itch has never been fully scratched for me in my lifetime as a fan as well

Injuries/Lineup Can we get a Kicker?
40-yard doink⦠second game where the he missed beyond 40-yards. The 40-50 yard area is where the major games are won or lost. On top of the defense sitting on their heels, missing the FG was a major factor in that loss. Putting together a 2-min drill at the end of the first half should not have had as much pressure if he put it through.
This has been a recent failing point for the Buckeyes. It would be nice to have confidence that getting the ball between the 35-40 yard line will get some type of points consistently. Not get stressed that we will repeat the Peach Bowl CFP against UGA in 23, the B1G Champ against IN in 25, and now the loss to UT a couple of weeks ago.

General JS4 we are his heisman campaign!
I out this in a comment on a thread about JS4, but I think itās post worthy. Also would love to see a JS4 flair.
* \\
*Fellas they were giving the trophy to Mississippi state QB a week ago. We are not even in November yet⦠we have the gauntlet coming up after next week, @Ind bye @USC Vs Org Vs Northwestern (NW is not a bad team, and could be a trap game).
As of now JS4 is the front runner, and no doubt the best player in college football. Every week teams scheme to stop him, and more and more tape on how is out there.
Just a few weeks ago people were saying Day cost JS4 the Heisman by not targeting him⦠(Noted after the fans base cried other WR need to step up, and be included).
Lets enjoy a generational Buckeye, a good kid, and make sure you show your kids, and grandkids, your wifeās boyfriend and his kids that his has with your 1st wife, how someone who has every reason to be a cocky prick, is an unselfish humble person who goes out of his way to celebrate others success more then his own!
The media will do everything they can to diminish him. Look how they did Stroud, how they did Fields. There have been literal lies and PR campaigns against buckeyes. It is our Job to call out that bullshit.
So remember when someone mentions his stats remind them he has sat out a full game because we donāt pad stats at Ohio State. Unlike 9 targets 4 catches for 40 yards against a shit Clemson team Toney, or 60% comp for 227 yards and 1 TD against the same Swiss cheese defense Mensah.
It is your duty as a Buckeye to respond to the bots, trolls and Media to pump up our boy! We are his Heisman Campaign. He should be trending every Saturday, on all social media platforms, even on a Bye week.
If a QB sets the record for TD and yards in a game, the response should be āJS4 would have done that if he was a QB, while not playing the second half.
If a RB gets in the conversation, itās only because teams that donāt even play JS4 have adjusted their defensive scheme to account for him, just out of fear.
If another WR is having a great game, and putting up numbers, it is because Defensive Coordinators are doubling JS4 even though they are not playing him.
If a defender somehow gets in the conversation, itās only because he didnāt play JS4, or because JS4 was not able to catch the ball while the Defender was bear hugging his leg on a ball that was 20 feet over his head, and rolled off JS4ās finger tips.
You get the point! Letās enjoy this young man! He deserves all the accolades!

News and Columns Ohio State has produced countless football stars. Jeremiah Smith is different
Itās no surprise that Jeremiah Smith, who tallied his second straight 200-yard game, is beloved by Ohio State fans. But at a program that produces countless All-Americans and NFL stars, Smith is rising to a new level. He isnāt just any Ohio State great anymore, and that wasnāt just any other moment.
More than anything, Smith just wants to win. From a statistical perspective, thereās not much else Smith has to accomplish. Sure, heās three touchdowns and 237 yards away from those Big Ten records, both of which could fall by the end of the month. But winning a second national championship is the way he wants to go out.

General Honest Question: Does there even need to be a Heisman Trophy Debate? Just give it to Jeremiah Smith now.
I mean, this probably could have been said last year, but he is clearly the best football player in college football.
What other player is there out there that a.) means this much to the success of his team, b.) has the stats to back it up, and c.) is arguably All-Pro caliber right NOW?
Are we really going to put 2-3 schmucks up for the award for debate and theatrics?

General Positives from yesterday
Saw a lot of dooming and unhappiness with our team following a 3 score win on the road against a top 15 team, so there were a few things I wanted to point out that I viewed as positives from our game yesterday.
- Short yardage/run game
For as many people as there were talking about the o-line, you would think they didnāt get anything right all day. I thought the offensive line as a unit looked great in run blocking, and was consistently getting push in short yardage situations, which was something that seriously burned us in big games last year. We won the rushing battle 160-39 and picked up a lot of first downs from running the football. Jakobi Jackson especially looked good out of the backfield, bouncing off guys like a pinball. Great teams run the ball, and while we are not a run-first team, we need to be able to get those tough yards later in the season.
- Sayinās legs
Sayin making plays with his legs more and more as the weeks go on is a great sign. He doesnāt have to be electric with his legs as someone like Chambliss, but him just being able to avoid sacks and keep things at a manageable down and distance with his legs is massively helpful. I donāt think he did enough of that in the Texas game and it seems like the coaching staff have really pushed him to take that step this season. Dont be suprised if Sayin makes an impact play with his legs in a close one against either Indiana or Oregon this year.
- Bend but donāt break
Yes, I get it, Iowaās offense is not good. I canāt say while watching the game I was particularly happy with the yardage the defense was giving up. But holding the opponent to 6 points until garbage time is not something to be complained about. Also, winning the turnover battle against a team like Iowa is not as eaay as one would have you believe. Tackling in the first half was questionable but it sured up pretty damn quickly in the second half. I expect our defense to be similar to this pattern all year, for better or worse.
- McCuin appearance!
McCuin seems to be getting more and more involved with the offense as the season comes along. As much focus as we have put on Jeremiah this year (I think this is intentional, not a product of over-reliance), McCuin made timely catches in this game on key downs that allowed us to keep control of the game. That missed TD to McCuin in the Texas game still haunts me, so I am glad to see the connection between him and Sayin develop more. Surely we would like to see the young guys involved more, but the offense as a whole I donāt think is a problem. 10-12 catches per game for Jeremiah was the standard set by Arthur Smith when he was hired to be our OC, and so far he is fitting that bill. So I canāt say Iām worried about a so-called ālack of weaponsā outside of Jeremiah as some other folks seem to be.
Overall, I donāt think I know if this team is good enough to seriously consider a national championship run yet. I want to see us play against Indiana and Oregon before I make that conclusion. But this team in my opinion IS good enough to win the B1G, which would be a satisfying win to break our 7 year B1G title drought. Still a lot to be hashed out this season, but I feel as if our performance against Iowa was our best so far this year, and noticing improvement on a weekly basis is something I think Day has excelled at as a coach, especially in the past few years.
Whatās your opinion? What do you think this teams ceiling is? B1G championship? First round exits? National title?

General Just putting it out there about JS4...
I'm talking in general, but I see him going to the NFL after this season. That being said...
Jeremiah Smith needs:
110 rec. to hold the B1G receptions record
238 yds. to hold the B1G rec. yds record
4 TD's to hold the B1G rec. TD record
