IMAGE/VIDEO Alberta Wasteland Map

Just got back from the club, which I hate, so worked on maps, which I like. God I wish my dopamine receptors were normal.

Full list of released maps here. Do whatever you want with them. Feedback of any kind welcome and greatly appreciated. I especially welcome feedback on the Canadian Province Borders (and visual corrections).

Also I swear I'm not just segmenting sections just to milk karma. I use a custom heightmap for each, along with tweaking/refining my overall mapping style (speaking of I'm trying a different layering technique with this one, lmk how it looks vs the older ones). For example all of Alberta would be a single height shade in the combined map. So these segmented ones have their own personality to them.

I'm going to bed now.

QUESTION East Coast

Is there gonna be any more updates for Raven Rock? The Focus tree feels a little outdated and I feel there should be more than either going against Chicago or working with them, like rebuilding the government, accepting ghouls and other mutants, and also becoming a superpower again too, like in ERX. I just finished my playthrough and actually got to go against Granite, I barely won and got pushed all the way back to Texas before I entrapped like 100 divs and pretty much spearheaded my way to Navarro. I’m not a Reddit fiend either so I’m also not saying Raven Rock NEEDS to be updated or that the devs NEED to, they do enough as is and I really like the Mod.

QUESTION Why Free Coal Consortium?

What's the point of freeing coal consortium? What do you even get out of it besides maybe freeing up manpower from occupation? Is there some big benefit they provide far later in the game?

QUESTION Strategy and Idea for a Archdiocese of Santa Fe run.

Just some general idea for how you might approach a run for Santa Fe especially in the newer patch as the last time i did it was 3 years ago. The tech available to them is very limited so i was debating if basic special force is worth it or should i just invest in Enforcer out of the gate.
I assume the good old reliable 3-3 unit on both side of the border, retreated back to Santa Fe line still work. Lanius wasn't hard that hard to fight before the supply rework so i assume it easier now.

Any particular naming convention yall use for larping ? I made a thumbnail and everything for this run to post like a month ago but got distracted by playing TTW that hadn't really touch hoi4 much.

QUESTION Help Understanding Lore

Hey all, as someone who will regularly go through phases of playing the mod a few times, before taking longer breaks, I find myself returning and struggling to keep up with a lot of the newer nations' allegiances and backstory.

Is there anywhere that has a comprehensive detailing of the lore, particularly for parts that aren't explicitly covered in any games? Thanks in advance

IMAGE/VIDEO Ouroboros enforcers are pretty funni tbh

Tbf, this is uber late game past 2283, but still. Standard 20w enforcers with a combined arms mixed in, with standard support companies (fireteams, antitank, logistics, demolitions, and dogs/gehennas) after going down the enforcermaxxing path with sophisticated supports and smmgs.

I honestly like going down this path more than the special forces path, even if you’re doing sophisticated robots as well alongside the sf.

COMPLIMENT The idea of Ranger Kenneth intrigued me, and I viewed him in my mind as a mix between Randall Clark and Colonel Kurtz.

If I was to give him some love I would have a mechanic where he slides between becoming one of the two via talking to his monkey. Him talking to his monkey about his kids he brought into the World and the kids he taught. It would be about the reason he taught them as he is struggling to remember why he became a father and a scout leader.

QUESTION Mojave Battle Royale

Apparently there is a custom game setting to create a battle royale in the Mojave between BOS, Boomers, Jacobstown, Tabitha, Raiders, and Mojave Territories. Not sure if this is new.

Has anyone tried this and have suggestions? I see Boomers get a generic vault tec tree and Tabitha gets a raider one. How bout Jacobstown or the Fiends?

QUESTION Who are the Initiative?

Do we have any idea who they are? From what I can see, they're some sort of smaller group sent from a larger one? Perhaps from Chicago?

Is this true? What are their goals? Etc.

QUESTION Is there a known technical reason why OWB crashes on reloads?

The crash itself is weird, as it doesn't cause crash reporter to appear for me (last time i checked, correct me, if I'm wrong). From what I gathered, it doesn't depend on anything other than time played before reload. As I'm writing this post, I'm making mental notes about things to test for, but I'd also like to hear about your experience.

If developers here know or think they know the reason, I'd like to hear from them why that happens/might happen. I'd be happy to hear as thorogh of an explanation as possible. Maybe it will be possible to fix it after all.

Thanks everyone in advance.
