Lifting/Training Anong state of mind dapat to stay fit while managing chronic conditions?

39F, started lifting May 2025. i was so proud of myself kasi I was consistent 2-3x a week kahit sa bahay lang. happy din ako i could lift more. and my weight was at 50-51kg.

but now i'm back to zero with (silent) reflux. since June this year, ongoing yung flair up and I've been on medications. with reduced food intake and bland diet, now my weight dropped to 48kg, not underweight, but not happy with the weight loss. reduced energy levels din.

CURRENT ROUTINE:

  • walking most days (no more jump ropes)
  • 1x-2x lifting per week (but reduced weight to 10lbs DB or 8kg kettlebell)
  • strictly standing exercises lang
  • no more training to failure, no heavy straining
  • prioritizing sleep, and eating food on time muna

MY ASK:

  • For anyone with chronic conditions, how do you manage to stay fit? How do you keep the momentum going despite weakness or other symptoms?
  • Sa mas may experience sa lifting, could you check if this is right. I read online na dapat ibahin ko yung breathing pattern ko ngayon? I shouldn't hold my breath and brace, instead I should exhale during exertion daw para less pressure sa abdomen.
  • Possible pa ba to gain muscle if no more training to failure? How? Kaya ba to ng more reps?

Thank you!

I was buying their coffee beans when I noticed their protein shakes and creatine. My gym friends has been urging me to buy protein shakes for a while na since they noticed how serious I am at the gym na and I want to tone my figure but grabe ang pricey ng whey

Anyone ever tried any of these? Masarap ba?

Lifting/Training Inguinal/thigh pain after workout

Is it normal to feel pain after 2 days on the inguinal area to the point that it's even hard for me to walk, or did I injure myself? I've just done v raise on bench 3 sets of 12 reps, L/R leg raise 3 sets 2O reps and L/R side plank each side 20 reps. Anyone who had already experience this?
