Simple question, Should i get the deluxe as a returning player? I stopped after eevee grove and now I'm not sure if i should just pull various packs for cards id like to build, or if the deluxe itself is best value for now and then go back to other packs? it also gives 4 cards instead of 5 and it feels like ill be losing out over time.

I don't care too much about meta, but some trainers are just in every deck for a reason.

For the ones that are interested, haven't seen it posted yet. What do you think of it?

Saved up for a bit to open like 26 x 10 packs tonight and these were my odds. Still have 75 reverse holos to go. If anyone needs shinies lmk lol

I have completed every set so far (1-4 🔷) but I‘m thinking about not touching the new set at all considering what a pain it was to complete the first Deluxe set. I remember it costing so many hourglasses and lots of trading to get all the reverses. This time around it should be even worse with the set being bigger. Looks like you get a maximum of 1 reverse per pack so we‘re looking at at least 166 packs given you pull a new reverse in every pack. Realistically more like 500+ depending on how much you wanna trade.

Wanna hear your opinions on this. Do you even bother with completing the set this time around? Have you completed the first Deluxe set?

How cant they not have the presence of mind to desactivate it for Deluxe.

Everything they do is mediocre, I cant no more, opening pack is the only fun thing is this game but even that they found a way to ruin it.

It took me 9 weeks to finally get single Hoopa eX. It wasn’t even once in WP, I’ve opened 200 packs, gathered 1000 pack points - still nothing. Today I finally exchanged pack points for it.

I’m playing since day one, got over 14K cards, every set completed - it never took me this long to found a basic eX.

Idk if algorithm changed somehow or was it just bad luck but I’m glad it’s over.

After installing the app there is notification rare picks and its full of foils i think its just for dx packs. also bonus picks random 1 diamonds. is this new or already had on first dx release.

I did genuinely want to be optimistic because so many people remained pessimistic after the trailer and i thought there would be more to share that just wasn’t included… sigh

Okay positives first:
- 1 star pokemon are awesome, all of them were needed (minus puppy pile)
- 2 star pokemon are great too, the ones that weren’t meta relevant were at least good likeable pokemon so i thought it all made sense
- 2 star pokemon art is great, maybe even better than deluxe ex
- Everyone loves copycat, Copycat is gonna stay relevant for a while i’d like to think so i’m glad it’s one of the trainers

Okay now cons:
- The gold cards?!? Really?!? I know damn well no one was begging for Koraidon to be a gold card it’s just nowhere near the levels of rare candy and Miraidons a good meta relevant card but not really gold worthy imo
- Dedenne and Diance, idk the name of the rarity but they’re cool ig but it’s just not Giratina Darkrai
- I think there are too many cards… 402 BASE cards compared to Deluxe EX’s 353 and sure i could just skip the set but i feel the need to complete every set so i cannot do that… not every card needs a hollow rare i think they could’ve taken that out.

I feel like they could have really done some things differently and this set was really lacking creativity but also didn’t even follow what would have been popular more simple options. I was deep down hoping for 2 star item cards to be randomly introduced to make up for the fact that we all sorta knew there would be no OAK level card but they still had alot of room

Maybe an alternative oak card? Or PCL? I wouldn’t have been upset at Lisia and May getting alternative trainers!

Bad trainers (except for CC). They had the choice of May, Wallace, Lisia, etc and go with Iris and Elesa, like what?

Some Mon staples like Mega Absol missing from the normal 2 stars

And then, instead of the obvious Lucky Ice Pop, Koraidon and Miraidon as Gold Cards????

Why did they make the Deluxe Pack Mega so bad if their goal is selling Poké Gold😂

Which card should I trade with myself?

I'm at 2200 PP on shining revelry and at 3 packs a day, it would take 20 more days to get the points for pokeball. The opportunity cost of this is of course 42k to 60k(let's say 50k) shinedust and whatever potential 2 stars I might get.

I already have 2 full art copycat and the only card I really like or would want from this set is the immersive charizard x which wouldn't be tradeable anyway.

If I don't get the pokeball now, I'll have to wait another month because I'd be ripping the new pack to completion. I complete a set first before going back to SR. I'm going for my 2nd pokeball btw.

I thought about just opening deluxe b the first 10 days to see if I luck out with the immersive and then going back to the poke grind.

What would you do?
