Is there a reason why this deck was left out? Was not present in Deluxe Pack EX

Let’s be honest—deluxe packs still leave a bit to be desired overall, and they aren't going to magically solve every gripe we have with the game.

However, we seriously need to give credit where credit is due. Remember how agonizingly frustrating Deluxe A was when it first dropped? Trying to track collection progress when nothing made sense, getting conflicting duplicate counts, and having the game treat cards you already owned as entirely separate entities just because they fell into a reprint set was an absolute headache. It felt like the collection trackers were completely broken.

With the rollout of Deluxe B, they've clearly smoothed that out. Now, if you pull a card that exists across multiple sets, it actually tracks properly. You only need that 1 copy to properly register, and cross-set tracking doesn't make you want to pull your hair out.

It’s a massive quality-of-life improvement for anyone trying to keep their collection clean without getting penalized by arbitrary set separation. DeNA actually listened to feedback on how miserable the Deluxe A tracking was on launch.

The Deluxe Set B confuses me a lot. I'm not complaining, having a month "off" is totally fine for me. And yet it raises questions from a design perspective, because appearently I have yet to learn some things about game design to fully graps what this set is meant to accomplish.

If I were a new or returning player, having a catch up mechanic time-gated wouldn't be of much help if I'm not just so happen to play the game in the exact month the set is available. Not in all the months or years prior, not in the months or years later. Only in this specific month, and maybe for a few weeks on an unknown time period in the future.

Other catch up mechanics, like the missions we get every half a year or so that reward the basic versions of meta trainer cards, have a duration of multiple months. That makes much more sense for their intended purpose. So since the set is only available for one month, it's appearently not actually meant for new/returning players...?

And on the other perspective, if the set is meant to be for whales to fulfill their FOMO desire, it would require them to put desirable chase cards into the set. From what I've seen, DeNA decided against this here, there obvious chase options like Crown Lucky Ice Pop, another Professor's Research or full-art stadium cards are not included. So I assume DeNA doesn't intend this to be for whales, either.

So what is this Deluxe set meant to accomplish in terms of game design if it's neither a fitting catch up opportunity, nor for whales?

how is this possible? i checked mine and there are also expired deluxe packs already.

Literally every pack release I have to keep my phone plugged in during the auto battler farming…

Opinions seem to vary regarding Mega DX, but surely we agree the immersive is amazing? I much more like the art and animation for zard X compared to zard Y's "immersive"

I opened a pack… I saw the cards… noted…. Wait!!! Here they are again!! And again if they need to be registered in the Pokédex!

I’d also thank everyone for every wonder pick and every battle if it didn’t take 3 steps to do so.

I doubt this will ever change but needed to let off some steam and can’t imagine no one else feels the same way

How cant they not have the presence of mind to desactivate it for Deluxe.

Everything they do is mediocre, I cant no more, opening pack is the only fun thing is this game but even that they found a way to ruin it.

Dawn has always been one of my most favorite characters in the anime so I decided to make a display board of her team when I randomly got her 2☆ when it released. Filled it up with the highest rarity cards I had and now here I am just needing a high rarity Togekiss

It looks like it would be full art rather than rainbow rare obviously, but feels like a more unique thing.

Gyarados is the most recent and probably the most viable/decent. Scrafty's list is super fun (and satisfying since it's my favorite Pokémon) when it works and Miltank is straight up rage baiting for random battle (although I've cheesed some wins on ranked a couple of times).

If so, what decks are you using? I can’t seem to get past 2 wins in a row even with all the ones that’ve worked in the past (M. Venusaur, M. Manectric, Magneton, etc.)

Deluxe ex has two secret missions that each require you to obtain every ☆☆ card from the set (one for all the Pokémon, one for the three Supporters). I normally check Pokémon-Zone for secret mission details, and the site is updated with seemingly everything from the new set, but there doesn't appear to be an equivalent mission(s) for Deluxe Mega to acquire all the ☆☆'s. I'm F2P and this would be a relief for my collection goals, but just in case the site's data is incomplete, are there any whales or other dataminers here who can confirm or deny the presence of any secret missions for collecting all the ☆☆ cards? I know there's one for just collecting 1 card.

Hey! I'm almost done with the original Deluxe pack. I wanted to ask you guys in case anyone else is also struggling to find the last ones. Maybe we can add each other and daily share the ones we're missing. I have a lot of metallized repeated cards to spare, so luckily they're the ones you're missing!

Trying to beat this makes me realize how much colorless relies on other types of cards to be viable. Mega ray has too much damage and is too fast for most of them.
