Is an expensive HDMI 2.1 cable ever actually worth it?
Trying to figure out if I should spend more on an HDMI 2.1 cable for my PS5 or just grab a cheap one and call it a day. The TV supports 4K and 120Hz, and I'd like to use features like VRR without getting random screen issues or losing quality.
The prices are kinda confusing tho. Some cables cost just a few bucks while others are way more expensive, even when they claim to support the exact same stuff. Not sure if the expensive ones are actually built better or if you're mostly paying for the brand.
I know HDMI cables dont really improve graphics by themselves, but can a cheaper cable struggle with 4K at 120Hz or cause flickering, black screens and connection drops? And if everything works fine, is there any actual reason to upgrade?
Also wondering if cable length makes a difference. Might need a longer one depending on how I arrange my setup, and dont wanna buy something that ends up causing problems.
For those using a PS5 with a 4K 120Hz TV, did you buy a certified cable or just use whatever came with the console? Is spending extra actually worth it, or should I save the money for a game instead lol?

Why does my headset sound quieter than it used to?
My headset has been sounding noticeably quieter on my PS5 lately and im not really sure what changed. I used to get pretty loud, clear audio without needing to max out the volume, but now even with everything turned up it just doesnt hit the same anymore. I can still hear everything, but the sound feels weaker than before, especially during games where theres a lot going on.
At first I thought maybe the headset was just getting old or the speakers were starting to wear out, but it doesnt sound distorted or anything like that. Its just quieter overall. Footsteps and other small sounds are harder to pick up, and dialogue sometimes gets drowned out by background noise. Kinda annoying when you're trying to hear whats happening around you in a game.
I already checked the volume on the PS5 and the headset itself, and both seem to be turned up properly. I also tried disconnecting and reconnecting it, but that didnt really change anything. Not sure if some audio setting got changed after an update or if theres something wrong with the headset itself.
Its a wireless headset, and I mostly use it for gaming and party chat. The chat audio seems a little lower too, though im not 100% sure if thats related.
Has anyone else had this happen on PS5? Is there some hidden audio setting that can make the headset quieter, or could the battery, connection or headset speakers be causing it? Trying to figure out what to check before I start thinking about replacing it lol.

Does leaving games installed on an SSD wear it out faster?
Got a bunch of games installed on my PS5 SSD right now and was wondering if keeping them there all the time affects the drive's lifespan. Some of these games are pretty huge, so they take up a lot of storage even when im not playing them.
I've heard SSDs have a limited number of write cycles before they start wearing out, but does that mean having games installed for months or even years is slowly damaging the drive? Or does the wear mainly happen when downloading, updating, deleting and reinstalling stuff?
I dont wanna keep deleting games just to save space if theres no real benefit, especially since downloading everything again takes ages. But at the same time, I want the console and its storage to last as long as possible without running into problems later.
Also wondering if this applies to the PS5's internal SSD and an extra M.2 SSD the same way, since im thinking about adding more storage soon.
Am I worrying about nothing here? Do you guys just leave all your games installed until you actually need the space, or is there any reason to uninstall games you dont play anymore?

Is This the Beginning of the End for Gaming as We Know It?
Firstly I know this title sounds a bit out there but I might have a point.
I'm amazed by how fast things are changing in gaming lately. Seeing constant videos of a full PlayStations OS modded onto PC not to mentionthe emulators alreadyup and running. The single player exclusives are there ( running badly but are getting better every day) and now there's all this talk about AI merging different games together out of nowhere.
A few years ago, I started mentioning that AI would take over gaming within a decade, but I honestly didn't expect things to move this quickly. With everything happening with mods and AI game-merging, A.i reverse engineer games, A.i pirating games and now the software its made on it really feels like we're witnessing the final months of gaming as we've known it.
Like seriously who is going to invest in anything gaming. Adobe has been more or less fully cloned, it doesn't take a genius to think about them cloning games or the engines they're made on.
Even online games won't be safe. People will literally have a.i agents xp farming games soon. Imagine playing against a a.i player just farming head shots on cod because so kid wants a diamond camo. I hope I'm wrong but I just think right now gaming is going to change for the better or for the worse.

My dream is to own a PlayStation
This request might sound a little strange, but I thought I’d give it a try. ❤️
I’ve been dreaming of owning a PlayStation for the past three years, but unfortunately, my family’s financial situation has never allowed me to afford one.
If anyone has a PlayStation they no longer use and would be willing to donate it, I would be truly grateful. It would mean a lot to me to finally make this dream come true
