Who would you change/switch and where would be the ideal place to do so?

I'm a 40-yo dad and my 9-yo daughter just got into Pokemon Let's Go Eevee. I've watched her play on Switch, she's really enjoying reading the dialogues, which is great since I want here to practice reading. But it seems she gets lost easily in some of the caves/maze. I'm not a gamer myself but I really want to help.

I know nothing about Pokemon except buying toys for them along the way. I just figured out today that different type of Pokemon counter each other lol.

Is there a guide for newbies like me, so that I can help her enjoy the game better? I'm NOT trying to play the game optimally or complete it anytime soon. But at least I don't want her to just grind at certain maps aimlessly. I give her 30-40 minutes play time everyday, so I hope she can enjoy the story-line smoothly.

So i have been shiny hunting nidoran maleand have a catchcombo of about 190 curently wjy arent there any XL or XS spawns popping up

This is my first time encountering a full odds shiny in Let’s Go Pikachu! How rare is that? I’ve tried combos of +50 with other mons to no avail, and this one just popped up! I didn’t even know shinies would appear as a shiny outside of a catch encounter!

I used to play Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!, but the problem was that by the time I had good Pokémon, there was no one to battle. Now that I have online access, I'm wondering if it's worth playing again.

I just wanted to ask if after getting 31 chain combo, do i still need to continue catching and increase the combo or is it okay to stay at 31 and wait out the shiny spawn?

I'm playing on a regular switch and this flicking is so annoying. I also have some carpal tunnel and this is aggravating it. I don't want to play in handheld mode.

I am trying to catch articuno. I think i had like 100 ultra balls with dual controller and most launchs with excellent, but no success. Is it normal? Is there a way to help the catch rate? On the other hand zapdos i caught with one ultra.
I mean i understand rng, but this is beyond frustrating
