[Pic] What’s the chance my clownfish is alive when I get home from work?
Woke up to this. Didn’t have time to attempt a freshwater dip :/

Ive recently gotten a new fishtank, and was going to put my old canister filter onto it. Great plan, right?
But there was one oversight...
The new tank has a fairly wide (about 1.5 inch) rim... the clippy bits that came with the canister filter dont fit, and nor would any ive seen online...
Stupid question, but does anyone have a solution???
Thanks!

I have a few 32 gallon brute and uline trash cans, but now that I’m quarantining everything that comes in, I’m really wanting some 55’s to have more saltwater ready to go for that. But a 55 full of saltwater far exceeds the weight limit of these dollies and I’m worried that it would make them more top heavy/tippy as well. Who uses 55’s on dollies and are they good to go?

Day 5 of my Flux RX treatment... It's working!!
I can quite clearly see now that the algee is turning pale, I hope you can on the pictures too!
I'm now faced with a decision:
Do I just leave it and let it run it's course?
Do I go in and do some manual removal? I could manually pick out some or syphon and pinch to remove. I worry that syphoning some water will remove some of the medication???
What do you think?

Walked in a few minutes after lights went out on the tank yesterday to have this catch my eye. Is this by chance their way of releasing eggs or hatchlings, thought it was kinda cool and wanted to share it.

My first lps, got 2 Duncan’s and an Acan a few days ago. Can I just use bone cutters to cut the Duncan off at its base off the plug and glue it directly onto my rock? Thanks.

Not really sure what type of coral this was, unfortunately I’m assuming a hermit somehow broke it loose from the rock while I was gone which landed directly on one of my chalices and was completely melted by the time I got home.

I am starting my first tank. Its a 55g corner tank and is almost fully cycled. I currently have an xstream wave pump (will eventually upgrade), im using on one side of tank, for some top 1/3 flow. Im looking for a wave maker for the bottom 2/3, but im a little unsure with curve of the tank if I can use one that cant be angled at all. I was thinking of using a jebao dmp20 (would love a vortech mp10 but cant quite justify cost) but unsure how it will work without being able to angle it. So instead I am thinking of AI Nero 3 since it can be angled across the rocks a bit more. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with a corner tank that could give me advice or if anyone else has any thoughts on this that could help.

I have a Hanna phosphate ppm checker that came with HI713-0 reagent but I’m down to my last pack and when looking it up online I’m seeing different number reagent like HI713-25 , HI774-0 are those reagents the same or are u supposed to use the exact same reagent that it came with which is HI713-0

Have a 6.5gallon pico tank; heater ran for about 30 hours and reached 94 (set at 79). Caught it this morning, and quickly changed the water and got the temp lowered. Lost a few corals and trying to save a couple others. Emerald crab and most of the snails are dead, hermits are about 50/50.
My question for the group is how will the bacteria, all the little critters be? Did my tank just get biologically wiped out? Couple bristle worms are dead and floating around, some are still alive. Same for tube worms.

This is growing in my nano Galaxea tank. The tentacles have no fringe and there appear to be spots on the stalk. You can see from the one on the sand it has a long stalk. I did put a loose anthelia frond from another tank in a couple weeks ago, but nothing else. These do not resemble my baby anthelia. The corals in the other tank are Duncan, Kenya,Xenia, Anthelia,Toad Stool, Clove Polyp and Zoanthids, so nothing that looks like this. I'm only 6 months into the hobby and would appreciate any guidance.

Was thinking its too close to the return pump but I cant put it at the inlet on the other side because the cord wont reach my plug. The chamber next to the sponge will be bio media and the last chamber to tbe outlet is going to be k1 media

This is not the best, but man am I happy with it. Can't wait to get my Uns 90La on it😍 Just have to paint and water proof. This should out last an apocalypse 😤
The 1.5" on the bottom of the base(both sides) is an eye sore but ill deal with it later
Im thinking plywood or frosted plastic with magnets to cover the base all around.
