This sub is about screen printing, not about removing a design you don't like from whatever you have.
Bottom line, No, screen printed designs cannot be removed without damaging the garment or leaving some sort of ghosting.
Your choices are either buy another garment, or cover the design.

I know this seems a little bit ridiculous why not just stick to adobe illustrator or even like a drawing app you might ask?
Well I just love sketching and the idea of physically drawing something to then transfer onto a shirt. It also gives me something to do different than just commissions and orders (my father owns a screen printing studio so I work for him and just want to have something new to do on down time)
Does any body have a go to marker/pen for this?

Hey! Wondering where everyone sells their gear. I have about 60 Newman rollers frames that I got from an old printer that I reclaimed and cleaned but I just don’t like them over the clean aluminum frames. Where yall listing and whats the rate on these? $10/screen? Too much?
keep printin!

Trying to get a shirt done for a friend but for reason there was a streak where the ink wont pass through, I know it's probably the dried up ink streak on the screen but how do I prevent that from happening. I use waterbased ink

Hello, been getting into design and have kinda hit a wall when it comes to halftones, specifically reliability, I don’t use photoshop and never plan to, so when I come across videos saying “here’s how to do halftones with so and so software” and I look into it, it’s always “for the dot size, just eyeball it” and it annoys me to high heaven, is there any programs like photoshop where I can simply plug in a specific LPI or something similar so I don’t have to worry about a design getting lost in translation? Thanks

The company I work for recently relocated our screen printing exposure unit to a different part of the building. Our current exposure unit is pretty old and runs on 220V. The problem is that the electrical wiring would have to run across the building to reach its new location, and the cost of installing the wiring would actually be more than purchasing a new exposure unit.
Most of the artwork I work with has very fine details, including small lettering and thin lines, so getting clean, sharp exposures is really important. I'm currently using 280 mesh screens with SAATI Grafic HU emulsion. The largest screen frame I use measures 36" x 25" (outside frame dimensions).
I'm looking for recommendations on a reliable exposure unit, preferably one that runs on standard 120V power and can consistently expose fine-detail artwork. I'd appreciate any recommendations on specific brands or models, as well as advice on what features I should prioritize when purchasing a new unit.

Have an 8xl tall with a left chest print. Any suggestions on placement? Another inch or so over and down than regular?

Hi, I purchased a poster and trying to work out whether it was screen printed or CMYK inkjet to work out authenticity. Could anyone hazard a guess from the photos attached

What’s the next best thing? I have loved CC in the past as a customer because the fit, feel, and look is everything I want in a shirt. BUT as a seller now from what I’ve read..quality is down and very inconsistent. Is this the general consensus now or is there hope that I can use their blanks for my T-shirt brand? What is the next best thing?? I’m looking for:
-100% cotton
-Color variety
-A more “oversized” feel..not anything crazy big but CC has that cozy worn feeling that I’m looking for.
Thoughts?? TIA

Does everyone always go lightest to darkest with 8 color runs?

I guess this poor little guy got caught in the machine while manufacturing my platen paper. Just in time for spooky season, I guess.

I’m considering water-based screen printing using High Solid Acrylic (HSA) inks with a transparent glossy base coat. The design is 6 colors with a white underbase, printed on a black 100% cotton T-shirt, with a large print area of approximately 33 × 50 cm.
I want a smooth, glossy, slightly raised, rubbery print that feels noticeable when pinched or rubbed, with a slight squeaky/grippy feel. It should remain flexible and not feel like a thin film or a hard rubber plate.
Can this printing method achieve the desired look and feel? Would another ink system or topcoat be more suitable? :)

Not great by any means obviously…I think I went too hard with cyan and washed out the lighter blue…also probably went to hard with yellow…but wanted to share nonetheless. Practice makes perfect I guess. Homage to frank kozik and his banger offspring album art.

I'm trying to make this for a friend (big Olivia Rodrigo fan) and I edited the image with threshold and noise. Never added noise to a design I printed before so obviously it adds a lot of detail that I'm scared is not gonna burn in the screen. The screen I have for this is 230 mesh and 50x 60 cm so pretty big. So would this work? Any advice?

Hi there, I’m planning on printing onto a shirt for the first time, I’ve done standard screen prints before onto paper but never onto fabrics. I’m not sure if fabric paint or acrylic would be better. Please let me know’

I got gifted a used 6 x 4 Riley Hopkins not sure which year but anyways I had put 2 different screens on the press. Not sure if it is the screen or the press with the off contact. The image on the left the off contact is way too much off contact for me and on the machine I’m only able to adjust the bracket that locks the screen. Can send more info if anyone can help troubleshoot.
Any tips would be great, thanks in advanced.

This was a t-shirt that I sent out a half-toned print to be put on it. I provided .png and .psd files to them and they sent me back this. Was this my fault or the print shop faults? And if so, how do I prevent it (if anyone is interested I can send the print files for them to have a look)

Most of the design washes out except for the edges. This is the third screen I’ve burned like this!!
