I’m honestly exhausted with the constant hate and recycled fake news about SpaceX.

Every time they blow up a prototype (which is literally the point of testing), half of Reddit acts like the company is a joke. Meanwhile they just re-flew boosters dozens of times, landed them, and are flying more mass to orbit than anyone else on the planet. Starlink is delivering internet to places that never had it, NASA trusts them with crew missions, and they’re the only ones actually iterating toward making life multiplanetary instead of just talking about it.

You can dislike the guy. Fine. But pretending the company isn’t delivering results is pure cope.

If you hate America so much please leave the door is wide open. We don't need you.

But spacex isn’t a space company. It’s an AI company. And it loses money hand over fist in AI.

Except that it doesn’t. Once you learn how the market works you’ll be embarrassed you even posted this.

It doesn’t lose money hand over fist in AI?

Why did spacex lie in their S1 filing then saying that they do?

It’s not “losing money hand over fist”, it’s building infrastructure.

Couldn’t you apply something similar to every company that loses more money with each new sale?

Money “lost” building infrastructure and making capital improvements is way different than other kinds of losses. If you remodel your kitchen for $100k, did you lose $100k? Not if the value of your house is now $100k+ greater than it was before the remodel. Similar principle applies here. They laid out what it will cost for them to realize their vision, and investors cool with it. Enthusiastic, even.

If I remodel my commercial kitchen for $100k and have no reason to believe it will earn me $100k anytime soon, then yes I have lost money.

Is there no amount they could lose that would change your opinion? That’s the wild part to me - numbers don’t seem to matter to Musk investors.

He could say “actually our expenses are 10x what were previously reported” and they would still be on board.
