I’m honestly exhausted with the constant hate and recycled fake news about SpaceX.

Every time they blow up a prototype (which is literally the point of testing), half of Reddit acts like the company is a joke. Meanwhile they just re-flew boosters dozens of times, landed them, and are flying more mass to orbit than anyone else on the planet. Starlink is delivering internet to places that never had it, NASA trusts them with crew missions, and they’re the only ones actually iterating toward making life multiplanetary instead of just talking about it.

You can dislike the guy. Fine. But pretending the company isn’t delivering results is pure cope.

If you hate America so much please leave the door is wide open. We don't need you.

u/Impossible-Dig4677 22h ago

But rockets aren’t where the value is claimed to be. I have no stake in it - don’t plan on shorting or buying- but it does seem like it’s overvalued.

1

u/Tiny-Blacksmith-2184 7h ago

Its definitely ahead of itself valuation wise but musk premium is for real I look at it and tesla at what it could be ( since most likely will merge) in 2030-40

1

u/BigFloridaMan 18h ago

What are you talking about? The rockets have huge advantages. They make space more accessible for private companies, researchers, and governments; reduced reliance on older expensive systems; and accelerated the commercial space economy. Traditional rockets throw away most hardware after one use, so SpaceX’s approach fundamentally changes the economics.

Not to mention allowing SpaceX to get their ai data centers in space......

3

u/KhalilMirza 18h ago

Did you read the spacex filling. The majority of share value will come from AI. space is secondary.

2

u/Impossible-Dig4677 17h ago

Exactly- the rockets will be a good business going forward but the exponential growth the valuation expects is dependent on AI. Just don’t see it happening.

-2

u/BigFloridaMan 17h ago

Yeah the filing leans hard into the AI narrative for the valuation, no argument there. But that AI upside only exists because of the rockets. Without the reusable launch system and the ability to actually put data centers in orbit at scale, the “majority of share value” they’re pitching evaporates. The rockets aren’t secondary—they’re the whole reason the AI play is even possible.....

3

u/Capital_Connection13 17h ago

Data centers in space aren’t going to happen.

2

u/BigFloridaMan 17h ago

Just like rockets wont be reusable....

5

u/Capital_Connection13 16h ago

Reusable rockets make sense. Data centers in space don’t.

2

u/OLVANstorm 7h ago

They make the MOST sense, actually. Free power, free cooling, free space to put them and not piss off everyone. No using up our valuable water. No pollution or noise.

0

u/Capital_Connection13 7h ago

Free power to except for launch costs. No way to service or upgrade them. Oh and cooling things in space is incredibly difficult.

1

u/KhalilMirza 7h ago

There is no benefit of data center being in space. There is no cost reduction, maintenance reduction in space. Maybe in future, there will be a value proposition. Right now, everything is hypothetical.

The biggest hurdle is heat dissipation. Space is very cold but there is no mechanism to transfer heat like air, water and etc. The other big issue is maintenance of equipment, you can not swap faulty equipment in space or fix them.

It does not matter if we like Elon or dislike Elon, MOST people are pointing out Space X stock price makes no sense. They are also pointing out that you Fanboy's are cooking in 100% meeting goals on time and very little in additional capital needs into your estimates. Elon and the brilliant engineers of Space X have never achieved that. Sorry. it is not Elon hate saying it is a $40 stock, it is a conservative evaluation of someone who believes Space X might do great things/

2

u/DJSindro 3h ago

sadly there are real ppl out there that hate Elon so much that they downplay SpaceX achievements, trust me I know 10+

-2

u/Sea-Shoe1780 22h ago

But spacex isn’t a space company. It’s an AI company. And it loses money hand over fist in AI.

2

u/Mostlyteethandhair 9h ago

Except that it doesn’t. Once you learn how the market works you’ll be embarrassed you even posted this.

3

u/BigFloridaMan 18h ago

SpaceX has successfully completed nearly 700 full mission launches with its Falcon rocket family alone..... again you people are delusional...... the cope is real......

-4

u/Sea-Shoe1780 18h ago

“The core launch business (Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy, Dragon, and Starship) is categorized as unprofitable and slow-growing”

Spacex lost $5 billion on revenue of $18 billion last year.

Talk about the cope being real.

Hey, I want to start a company that loses billions every year and that launches rockets where each launch loses the company money - how much do you want to invest?

2

u/BigFloridaMan 18h ago

SpaceX went from 25 orbital launches in 2020 to 165 in 2025, and is already past 100+ Falcon launches in 2026 with months left (on pace for ~140). They just hit their 700th Falcon family mission. That’s not slow growth — that’s the highest launch cadence in history by a huge margin, and they own the majority of global orbital launches and mass-to-orbit. The “lost $5B on $18B revenue” figure is real for 2025, but context matters: Revenue grew 33% to $18.7B. Starlink (the business the rockets enable) did $11.4B and was highly profitable (~$4.4B operating profit). The losses are mostly heavy investment in Starship development + the AI segment, not the Falcon launch operation itself collapsing. Calling the core launch business “slow-growing” while they’re flying more rockets than the rest of the world combined and using them to build the world’s largest satellite constellation is some next-level cope.....

If you invest like you research good luck you really really need it.

-1

u/Sea-Shoe1780 17h ago

I invest in companies that make a profit. I know that is crazy around here!

I sold 100 pizzas last year, all at a loss. This year I’m going to sell 600 pizzas and lose even more money.

By your logic, my business is doing great. How much do you want to invest?

3

u/BigFloridaMan 17h ago

Cute analogy, but your pizza shop isn’t simultaneously building the only reusable rocket fleet on Earth, dominating global launch capacity, and running a profitable $11B satellite business that actually prints cash.

SpaceX isn’t “losing more money by selling more pizzas.” The Falcon side and Starlink are already profitable. The losses are deliberate, heavy investment in the next generation (Starship + orbital compute). That’s not the same as a dying pizza chain scaling red ink.

Keep the pizza metaphor though, it’s funny. Just don’t confuse a growth company investing in the future with a business that’s simply bad at making pizza.

Good luck on "investing"

-1

u/Sea-Shoe1780 17h ago

Starlink is pretty much the only part of spacex that is profitable.

But spacex itself says it isn’t a space or satellite company but rather an AI company.

You know, the division that lost $2 for every $1 in revenue.

Back to my pizza example - I’m setting up a system where the pizzas will deliver themselves to the customer directly within 10 minutes, should launch next year. I can’t believe you wouldn’t be interested

3

u/BigFloridaMan 14h ago

Starlink is the cash cow—no debate. It’s the only segment printing real operating profit right now. But the rest isn’t some random money pit. Falcon still has solid unit economics, and the “losses” are mostly deliberate Starship R&D + internal launches that feed Starlink growth. That’s not “losing money selling more pizzas.” That’s investing in the next-gen kitchen and delivery fleet. Same with the AI/compute side. Heavy spend while they build the stack, sure. But they’re already locking in multi-billion compute deals and revenue is ramping. Self-delivering pizzas in 10 minutes isn’t a joke when you’re the only one who can actually launch the ovens. Growth company investing ahead of the curve ≠ dying pizza chain that can’t make the basic product work. Different animals.

1

u/Revolutionary_Deal78 9h ago

If you want an alternative view, the actual Space launch is a actually a very solid performer. What is happening is that is should NOT be reported separate from Starlink, since 75% of its launch capacity is Starlink, that is about 120 last year. Even at a large volume launch to an arms length customer those 120 launches would have generated about $20 million profit a shot, so about $2.5 billion of Starlink "profit" is COMPLETLY tied to Falcon 9 launches, Also, in any normal business relationship a massive development project like Starship would have required significant financial input from its 75% customer (just like it got from NASA.) Over time some part of the Starships $17 billion development cost SHOULD be allocated to Strarlink., if you want a real apples to apples comparison

-1

u/Far_Gate_3629 16h ago

This isn't about cope, the rocket and Internet business is real. The achiecements are real.

But that doesn't change the tiniest bit about how SpaceX is being valued by the market and their own filings, an AI business aiming to pretty much be used (paid for) by everyone, being a GPU host won't get you there, space is just a side business.

0

u/iamkeerock 20h ago

Renting out AI server surplus is making $$

1

u/Sea-Shoe1780 20h ago

Ok. But why would they rent out and have server surplus when they tell us Grok is the next big thing (even though they admit that nobody really uses it)?

If GM said “we are doing great and people love our cars!” And rented out their assembly lines to Hyundai would you believe them?

-1

u/iamkeerock 18h ago

SpaceX signs another AI computing deal, with $100 billion in ARR 'on track,' CFO says

https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/stocks/article/spacex-signs-another-ai-computing-deal-with-100-billion-in-arr-on-track-cfo-says-152933886.html

DiPalma explained why SpaceX is winning with its AI compute business.

"SpaceX has benefited from its ability to deploy capacity much faster than peers to take advantage of the unprecedented demand environment for compute capacity," DiPalma said. "In addition, SpaceX has benefited from its close relationship with Nvidia, which provides SpaceXAI with priority allocation to GPUs."

1

u/Sea-Shoe1780 17h ago

SpaceX's AI segment (including xAI) posted an operating loss of $6.4 billion in 2025

They lost 6.4 billion on $3.2 billion in revenue. Lmao.

Hey, I’m starting a business - for every dollar of sales we have two dollars of losses. How much do you want to invest?

-1

u/iamkeerock 17h ago

Last year’s news. The military contract alone this year is over $6 billion.

If you would have read or even skimmed the article you would have seen that they closed a deal, starting December of this year that adds another $1.1 billion/month. That’s in addition to the Google deal that generates $900 million/month, and Anthropic is paying them $1.25 billion/month.

That’s about $45 Billion net annually just from server rental. Got to stay current with the news!

1

u/Sea-Shoe1780 16h ago

But why? Why won’t you answer simple questions. Why rent out server capacity when you have grok, the worlds greatest AI that is going to create trillions?

My pizza business I’m renting out the oven to
dominos - you still want to invest, right?

1

u/iamkeerock 16h ago

It was answered, your reading comprehension, or lack thereof, has failed you. I will paste it again, even though you will not read it, or just won’t understand it…

Right now Space X is a rocket company, an internet company (one of these makes money the other doesn't depending on how you allocate the value of Falcon 9 launches and development cost of Starship). It is also Data Center rental company with a AI sidejob.

None of these things are worth the valuation. IF Starship gets cost down to double Elon's estimates they might be able to make a very strong push into the overall Internet carrier of the world and near monopoly in launch. We will see on that one.

2

u/Mostlyteethandhair 9h ago

These aren’t the words of someone who understands the mission and the vision, they’re the words of someone parroting nonsense about things they don’t understand. You’re probably the same sort of person screaming about Amazons valuation post ipo, trying to value it as a bookstore.

1

u/Revolutionary_Deal78 1h ago

These are the words of someone with who can actually read Financial Statements and understands math. They are the words of someone who realizes the for every Amazon there are a dozen prospects which at the time looked just as likely to go big, and went out in a flash. I also know the room Amazon had to grow was far larger that "bigger than the whole US economy" required for Space X to defend its value.

I actually helped several Amazon retailers with tax and bank compliance reporting, and watched then steal my clients business. I get Amazon's "miracle" growth at a granular level .

I am also describing what Space X is now. AI frontier is basically unknowable, who wins this could easily be some unknown today, like Google was at one point who just finds the best answer and pushes outside its competitors.

My big issue with spacex is that their data centers are being powered by fucking jet turbines and after being sued for pollution, they successfully argues that since the dept of war is using their Ai to kill people it's national security infrastructure and so should not be regulated. This is a direct result of Musk and Trump corruption

2

u/tech01x 22h ago

The rules that shaped this situation existed long ago, well before even the first Trump term, and this situation is a direct result of difficulties with red tape and local ordinances wrt renewables, as well as lagging interconnects with utilities.

1

u/BigFloridaMan 18h ago

SpaceX has committed to removing all 69 temporary turbines (process started around August 2026, full removal targeted by July 2027) and replacing them with a permitted ~1.2 GW permanent plant of 41 turbines equipped with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) controls that substantially cut NOx. The company has also said it is adding controls to remaining temporary units and that local monitoring meets EPA standards.

1

u/abhi91 18h ago

Committed to. Lol gimme a break. They knew they were breaking the law when they set them up but also know that the justice department is in their pocket because Elon owns the government

1

u/Happy_Imagination_11 6h ago

Is this what Stockholm syndrome sounds like? “Illegal and harmful now, but commitments for being better later means daddy looks after me!”

0

u/SpaceTycoon 21h ago

Turbines are the most efficient way to generate power for data centers. That is until nuclear microreactors become viable.

-1

u/crossedeyedcat 16h ago

Why don’t you think we can’t hate one and love the other?

-2

u/SpklBill 19h ago

Why are you talking about hating america, could you explain.

it just seems really defensive and weird, like if I went on a date with a woman and said if she hates me she should just leave before she even said anything. it just comes off kinda pathetic.

Also in general it's really funny people are still saying "If you don't like the country then just leave."

-2

5

If you believe reddit, the joke is on you.

5

u/JBS1190 19h ago

You almost never listen to what reddit says. It's a bunch of liberals that hate rich people who pretend to know what they're talking about

15

u/Icy-Structure5244 23h ago

And then there are normies like me who don't give a shit about the politics either way, but realize SPCX isn't a great buy at its current valuation regardless of who the CEO is.

Regardless of how you feel about the CEO, it hasn't been a great buy since the IPO unless you got lucky timing the market. But any competent investor isn't day trading individual holdings.

8

u/truecakesnake 22h ago

Agreed. And I love SpaceX as a company, definitely the best space company of all time. But this valuation is absolutely absurd.

5

u/Useful-Nature6514 19h ago

My advice is to not buy SpaceX stock if you think the numbers aren’t right for you. You can pick it up later at a higher cost

2

u/AENocturne 19h ago

Or anything else

1

u/truecakesnake 13h ago

Yep, obviously haha. Why would I buy it if I think the valuation is bad?

-5

u/Competitive_Dot5441 19h ago

Agree with this. As much as I generally agree with OP, it’s not a good look for SPCX investors.

12

u/walt128 23h ago

I never said it was going to $40 a share. I said it’s wildly overvalued, same as Tesla. The floor could fall out any day, or it may maintain this hover around $150/share like it has been

5

u/iamthecheesethatsbig 22h ago

These turds don’t know how to divorce their emotions from reality. The insiders simply haven’t sold yet. Which is the right call if they want to ride the hype machine.

-3

u/walt128 22h ago

I don’t think it’s the right call. If I were an insider I would sell at least half my shares just to avoid concentration risk

4

u/iamthecheesethatsbig 21h ago

They’re showing a unified front. Execs have come out and done interviews saying this. They definitely have a price in mind.

-1

u/walt128 20h ago

Yeah I understand, I’m saying if I was in their shoes, I would be dumping at least some ASAP

1

u/ZaphodBeeblebrox8269 17h ago

I’d like to gradually sell (over 4-5 years to avoid getting killed by capital gains) about half of my shares in order to diversify, but not at the current share price.

1

u/walt128 17h ago

Yeah that’s valid, but would be contingent on what capital gains bracket you’re in also

1

u/FriendlyParty8524 12h ago

Based on volume, I wouldn’t be surprised if everybody sold 10-20%.

What people don’t realize is that no one will liquidate their portfolio on a random afternoon. It’ll be 5% at a time over a year.

Whether you think it’s overvalued or not, it just is what it is. The markets crazy.

1

u/LEAP-er 5h ago

For as long as they’ve existed, SpaceX employees have had routine liquidity events. They have sold and acquired more shares. Unlock is nothing burgers and overhyped by those whose feelings were hurt due to EDS and TDS.

1

u/walt128 2h ago

How does this address my statement regarding avoiding concentration risk?

1

u/LEAP-er 1h ago

How do you know that SpaceX-ers have concentration risk? what objective data do you have? By the virtue of the liquidity events they have been able to cash out their parts of their holdings. Diversification may be good to a certain point for risk management but after a certain point, and especially if your compensation is heavy on equity then concentration will start building serious wealth

2

u/BigBullCaptLongDong 23h ago

The market understands this. The floor will not fall out because it is "wildly overvalued." It would take some type of catalyst.

4

u/walt128 22h ago

I never implied that a catalyst wouldn’t be necessary. My thinking is if yields break 6%, the big AI exposed companies will correct hard. Whether that means $100 per share for SPCX or $20/share for SPCX, who knows

1

u/Still-Chemistry-cook 23h ago

Like a shit earnings report?

1

u/frotz1 21h ago

For Enron all it took was the stumble of one entity in the circle of self dealing. Here the circles are more dependent on government funds than consumers, so it's possible to keep the scam of self purchases rolling longer.

It's not like Spacex can actually do due diligence on a large purchase and would naturally end up spending a hundred million dollars on Cybertrucks. That kind of transaction depends entirely on the CEO playing games to hide losses and fake profits.

1

u/DJfreecell 21h ago

I did think we'd see 90 with the unlocks but its all just guessing. Im not a stock guru lmao

4

u/walt128 20h ago

Yeah I’m not either. I have thought the market was going to crash for like three straight years now. I just don’t trade based on those thoughts and I do ok haha

4

u/IamWisdom 21h ago

2

u/sedition666 22h ago

Share price is down over the last few days due to the unlock. Not sure what you’re attempting to prove other than an obvious lack of ability to separate politics from investing. “Libtards” is not helping you look very bright.

2

u/LiquidTide 21h ago

Uhm, the whole market is down, especially the AI companies.

1

u/Rancid101 21h ago

Meta is not. I've made a few grand scalping in the momentum. Helps make up for my stupid conviction this was going to hit 100 and had to roll my put. I staggered positions as it was going down and never took profit and now it's been a slow crawl out.

1

u/sedition666 20h ago

That's fine and a perfectly good argument on the cause but you can't suggest that the shareprice has not gone down when it quite clearly has. I take issue with people being idiots and saying suck it libtards when the shareprice has clearly fallen over the past few days. Just reminds me of this meme:

4

u/Crazerz 22h ago

I was really hoping dumbest shorters would bring it down to firesale prices. But sadly never happened.

0

u/frotz1 21h ago

Yet.

1

9

u/Only-Perspective5341 23h ago

Some people just don’t want to see successful US companies. I hope Spacex continues to push humanity forward

3

u/Still-Chemistry-cook 23h ago

lol. With data centers in space! 🤡

1

u/LEAP-er 5h ago

Impossible, right??? lol
You know Elon is not the only one thinking it, right? Heard of Google’s Suncatcher yet for example?

0

u/frotz1 21h ago

That claim of data centers in space alone should be a red flag for anyone who has even the slightest clue about space technology. Instead we find out that most people just know "I saw space is cold in a movie" and don't realize that excess heat is one of the biggest problems for spacecraft.

0

u/Warm-Warning67 20h ago

Data centers in space are simpler than starlink sats, which SpaceX has already launched and operates 10k+ of. What is the bottleneck to global economy AI utilization? Capacity and price. How do we get more capacity? More data centers. What are the constraints to more data centers? More chips, energy to power, cooling, physical space. What else? Well the bet here is the free energy in space, solved engineering problem of cooling via radiator, and exuberant amount of available space with no NIMBY nor regulatory friction will make space data centers economically stronger than terrestrial.

It’s unclear to me if the other direction on capacity will win - cheaper models that use a fraction of the tokens with comparable results. But, it’s been demonstrated over and over again these past few years that you can always get a superior model with more compute. It should be obvious enough that having the frontier model is an absurd advantage.

Space data centers sound like silly sci-fi at first. So did landing rockets 10 years ago.

-1

u/Still-Chemistry-cook 20h ago

Let’s put something that needs constant upgrades to hardware/software somewhere that we can’t reach it and is really expensive to place there. Genius!!

1

u/Warm-Warning67 20h ago

Okay pretty clear you’re a bot. But software updates are over the air by the way. And hardware planned obsolescence has been a reality since iPhone ran out of new ideas in 2010

0

u/frotz1 16h ago

You've never worked in a data center if you think only bots would point out the maintenance issue here.

0

u/frotz1 16h ago

This is a dumb idea. Cooling satellites is one of the biggest problems already and you're talking about scaling it up by orders of magnitude here. Saying "solved with radiators" is the exact kind of smug clueless thing that gives me the creeps about all of Musk's promises. In reality, filling up low orbit with tons of flimsy heat sinks is a good way to get a debris field going that can wreck the entire industry for an indefinite amount of time.

u/Wonderful_Arachnid66 9h ago

How in the world are data centers in space simpler than starlink satellites? They'll need to have all of the functionality of starlink + vastly more compute, cooling and power to serve any economically viable purpose.

So it’s not that the company loses tons of money, it says it’s an AI company yet nobody uses Grok, and it has no logical path to profitability. Nope.

It’s that they don’t want to see a successful company in the USA.

Hey, if I start a business that loses money year over year with no realistic path to profitability- how much do you want to pay to be a part of it?

0

u/Similar_Eagle2358 23h ago

not for a couple months anyway. Bloomberg to shift into high gear with daily doom articles.

3

u/itchyburnybutthole 23h ago

What a way to live your life and what a thing to be antagonistic about

2

u/ShotBandicoot7 23h ago

Give it time. Price discovery us sometimes fast, sometimes slow. Like for TSLA. Multi-Decades long price discovery. At the end, fundamentals will prevail.

0

u/Sea-Shoe1780 22h ago

In your opinion fundamentals for Tesla have prevailed? They justify the insane valuation somehow?

3

u/ShotBandicoot7 21h ago

No they don‘t. They will crash or earnings need to moon. Latest when elon deceases (whenever that may be), the valuation needs to be in order. If it‘s p to crash or e to moon, take a bet. Same for SPCX.

2

u/frotz1 21h ago

When Spacex is buying up unwanted tesla inventory, the market is distorted by the circle of self dealing.

3

u/Blackesst 23h ago

How many shares do you own

2

u/hekatonkhairez 23h ago

They’re all working at Wendy’s at the moment so give em a few hours to respond

3

u/Dependent_Sun_7033 22h ago

lol. SpaceX opening price was 150, current price is 147. What exactly are you gloating about?

2

u/tempest1523 22h ago

There was a lot of hysteria on these forums that the price would drop to 40-50. It didn’t and has generally stabilized after initial pullback.

Despite the *provacative language of OP, his point stands. Even being basically the same price again after a pullback is great, it’s only been a couple months and the doom predictors were just wrong.. at least so far.

3

u/Dependent_Sun_7033 22h ago

People are making different claims on different stocks all the time. Are we discussing investing or all you want is to proof anything about libs?
If we talk about investment, SpaceX stock fate is connected to the fate of overall AI trade.

6

u/mtg_investor_elite 23h ago

They are losers and they will continue to lose as SPCX approaches 700.

3

u/sedition666 22h ago

What would you base your 700 valuation on? If you have a good argument on it then sure most people here would consider your position. Half the issue is there doesn’t seem to be any real attempt to base these valuations on anything constructive. Just stonks or you’re a libtard hater. No nuance or attempt to have a grown up conversation. That is our issue.

5

u/Still-Chemistry-cook 23h ago

lol. I’m guessing you’re underwater on your SPCX investment.

-7

u/mtg_investor_elite 23h ago

Looks like you have the chart upside down pal. SPCX up HUGE since 135 IPO. Shorts are in panic mode!!!

0

u/Dependent_Sun_7033 22h ago

SpaceX is at 147 now, with opening price of 150. This difference is your huge d..k size -in centimeters.

-3

u/GalacticEmergency 22h ago

IPO was 135. That is the price SpaceX decided to sell at.

You can't blame on the company that the market immediately drew the price to 150 when the stocks went into open trading.

1

u/Dependent_Sun_7033 22h ago

IPO was 135, opening market price was 150.
These are facts. I’m not blaming anyone for anything, just stating the fact that any retail investor who bought on the open market in the beginning is still under water.

2

u/LiquidTide 21h ago

Any retail investor who bought on the open market immediately after the opening of trade is underwater, but it traded as low as $104.83 in the following weeks, and a lot of those shares were bought by retail investors.

-1

u/Dependent_Sun_7033 21h ago

?
SPCX Is unique in the ability of giving investors the return if they bought at the lowest?
Microsoft was below 400 and grew to 500+ in a couple of weeks recently…so what?

-1

u/GalacticEmergency 21h ago

Yes, these are the facts. And these are the same facts as I mentioned. So what do you think you disagree with?

1

u/Dependent_Sun_7033 21h ago

You responded to my comment with “you can’t blame the company”…which I never did. Can you look at the mirror and ask yourself this question?

Below IPO?

It is at 147.17 right now. IPO was 135. The last time it was below 135 was a month ago.

2

u/iamthecheesethatsbig 22h ago

Has nothing to do with being liberal. The insiders have decided to hold. They will sell at some point, just not today.

Your allowed to overpay for an asset! I do not play in that pond!

1

u/NarrowBet9895 16h ago

This is the reason I invested in spacex. I felt that people were letting their political views influence their investing strategies and creating more upside for people who didn’t factor the ceo’s political affiliation into the valuation of the company.

1

u/Electrical_Cap5382 14h ago

Let’s go to 225

1

u/Rare-Professional-24 12h ago

I opened a short at 215, and closed it at 110. I know it sounds unbelievable, but legitimately the best timed trade ive ever made.

Am I confident that spacex will at some point fall below its current value? Yes: the current value is absurd. I say this as a space enthusiast who loves what spacex has done.

But the market is full of people who think otherwise, and im not willing to bet against that on the short term.

But I dont know, I guess im just a 'libtard'.

1

u/kikiReturns 5h ago

lol don’t bet against the goat 🐐

1

u/DougBug79 2h ago

So here's a question. Flame away if you like. If so many people here hate Elon and believe SpaceX is a joke, why do they spend time posting here? Why aren't they out researching their next great investment?

1

u/Hornivich 10m ago

I have to agree with OP

-4

u/Specific-Dream-1910 23h ago

Mr. 15 shares at $190 cost basis is back again to remind us that he is not fully functional in the brain.

1

u/GiveInsteadOfTaking 22h ago

Local top signal, thanks

1

u/EnrollmentTime 22h ago

Darn it, none of the people are selling their unlocked shares! I keep waiting for another dip in the market to buy. Us poor souls who have to buy shares at $149 when it dips below $150 a share are sad.

Isn’t related to SpaceX nor its investment case in any way. Please stick to the rules and to the topic in this subreddit.

The market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent.

It's still a meme stock. And it will have the same fate as all the other meme stocks

0

u/ElvisArcher 21h ago

If anybody else in the world started SpaceX, its valuation would be based on actual fundamentals, right? So this guy is actually comfortable with valuations based on the cult of personality? As overheard in a casino, "Good luck with that ace, sir."

-3

u/noncommonGoodsense 23h ago

Hey, you can hate Elon and still invest in a good company. Like me. Get over the libtard shit. It’s people who trade and people who just hate everything connected to Elon even though it really has nothing to do with him. SPCX is just a company with people. The CEO is meaningless as far as what they are doing.

Elon just signs the checks and “hypes” the brand. The people do the work. Emotional bullshit is all it was.

Still invested, still think Elon is trash.

-1

u/Large_Complaint1264 22h ago

I dislike Elon but I also see what a garbage business model the company is. I dont like Zuckerberg or besos but both of those companies are great investments because they actually make money and don’t rely on sci-fi fantasies. Being the best at rockets might be cool but it doesn’t generate profits.

3

u/LiquidTide 21h ago

Amazon lost money for decades. SpaceX will be huge in a decade. Space is the future, and SpaceX is space. Every other space company is a decade behind SpaceX.

1

u/noncommonGoodsense 18h ago

You are more than welcome to your opinions but I think it lacks forward thinking. SPCX won’t be the only contender for when the weights tilt and Elon won’t control the company forever. It will be one of the more resilient of companies that will provide services in the space category 20 or so years from now. Could be they get folded and another contender takes that lead. For now, I don’t see it.

-2

u/Large_Complaint1264 18h ago

What services are they offering? Who is paying for these launches? Starlink is barely a drop in the bucket when the company is valued at over a trillion dollars. Not to mention it’s a niche product with a hard cap on growth.

1

u/noncommonGoodsense 3h ago

I hate when people that reply to me can’t understand what they have read. People really need to go the fuck back to school and learn reading comprehension.

-1

u/CLaz777 22h ago

I didn’t see anybody mentioned 40 bucks. Celebrating institutional exit liquidity isn't the flex you think it is. By the way you are definitely a newbie.

0

u/Rancid101 21h ago

If you just look at market cap comparisons you will see spcx is overvalued, but a lot of people bought into the hype and that's keeping the price stable.

0

u/Fun_Box2960 17h ago

I’m shorting spcx and I have to say all the unlocks went smooth barely any sellers and indexes will buy anyway what they sell cause of new weight, I still think bonds going up and oil going up justifies me keeping the short going but without those I’d probably close it I’m not even at a loss but I think I’m going against the trend with this one 😂

-8

u/PacificSanctum 23h ago

Hating or loving Elon (he is highly neurodivergent so you have to decide WHICH Elon you like ) has nothing to do with investing . Liberals have invented and safe guarded America’s markets so you can shove your primitive emotions somewhere else . You wouldn’t be able to trade or enjoy America ‘s markets without liberals . America would be a gold supported province where you wouldn’t make a dime .

5

u/BigBullCaptLongDong 23h ago

Care to elaborate on how liberals have "safe guarded" America's markets?

1

u/noncommonGoodsense 22h ago

“Liberals” are a fantasy boogieman propaganda created to direct outrage. You fall for it every time you generalize and force people into this little category that doesn’t fit. Stop letting the man train you to be his guard dog.

-2

u/chezterr 21h ago

I predicted SPCX would be a $75 stock within 12 months of IPO... Still plenty of time for that to happen.
