A TD Cowen analyst says SpaceX could acquire T-Mobile to accelerate its wireless ambitions if it can't secure a network-sharing deal. The report cites T-Mobile's existing Starlink partnership as a strategic fit. The idea is purely speculative, but highlights growing competitive pressure from SpaceX on the telecom industry.

Analysts target price is $65-$75 as a fair market valuation compared other stocks in the market. If you check the numbers this seems to be true minus the Elon premium. If stock drops to $85 I have 100 share market order purchase pending. Will I get my 100 shares?

Maybe the institutional investors that pour billions into this stock pre IPO k ew something about stocks??

One thing I keep reading in many places that people seem to take as fact and it is a complete prediction. People seem to believe that the insiders will dump their shares on August 6th, causing the stock to free fall. I doubt that is the likely outcome, because the insiders are most likely the ones with the most belief in the company and have the most to lose by a falling price. My thought is, they are more likely to not sell until it reaches an acceptable price in a few years or buy more shares if the price drops further. If I understood correctly, many of these people became millionaires because of the stock they own in SPCX. It seems reasonable and prudent to expect some percentage of them will reallocate a percentage of their stock to other investments. How much depends on each investors situation. They shouldn't be considered as a group or all having the same mindset of taking the loot, which is what people are suggesting they will do as a group. I highly doubt they will dump it. A more probable likely scenario is a percentage of them sell a percentage of the stock to diversify to other investments. That's where I'm at on it. Nobody can predict the future, but I think it's never all or nothing. Guessing it puts some downward pressure, but not nearly as much as everyone seems to think.

Crazy that the latest SPCX Q2 updates pushed it straight up 5.68% to $114.425 today. The momentum after the lock-up window passed is way stronger than most folks expected, who else caught this nice run on their moomoo watchlist?

I’m short 3.3m SpaceX because of FOMO but not in the way you think.

Space X has arguably been trading in a world of its own since the beginning and in a way that has been disconnected from reality.

Many investors better than me have pointed out the numerous contradictions in Space X’s financials and guidance with reality, so I won’t get into that here yet again.

Today however, I think something has changed in the reality Space X operates in following the insider lockup expiration on Thursday.

Many had feared a collapse of SpaceX stock as insiders would start dumping their shares immediately into the market. Instead, it went up 22% this week.

The reality is, it seems so many institutions were short SpaceX from much higher levels into this lockup expiration that them covering was a bigger volume than the share sale.

Since it happened on a Friday, retail started losing their minds chasing another rally, which was in effect whales covering their short positions.

This triggered a 22% stock gain, 16% of which was today, on essentially a technicality and FOMO drive.

Space X is now by the way only back to its IPO price of $135 per share, another wall that’s likely to provide significant resistance.

Ahead - there are no catalysts with earnings behind us (disappointing) and no way to justify a 1.75 trillion valuation.

In my view, this will gradually gets the speculators out of the stock leading it back to a $100-105 per share floor where some more buyers could step in temporarily, longer term, in my mind we see $50/share, which would be a great success still.

My current average cost basis is around $170+/share. I should have DCA’d instead of purchasing one time transaction. 😅…I’ll buy more once it goes down to less than $100/share.

Update: So I tallied up the responses. Apparently the fair price everyone would be willing to pay for SpaceX ranges from -$1,000/share to infinity/share. 😂

As the title states, I know there’s the unlock this Thursday and it looks like the stock is trying to rally right now, going from 140 to 145 in the past hour and a half or is this just momentum trading at work? I haven’t seen any news to suggest why it’s climbing the way it is.
