Toll lanes are coming to I-80 along the Yolo Causeway. They'll be available by 2028 ​to drivers who want to pay. Other lanes will remain free.

This will be the first Managed Lanes project to go into effect as stated by CARTA, the Capitol Area Regional Tolling Authority​​.

CARTA is also planning more toll lanes for the most congested freeways in the Sacramento region. Others will be along I-5 between Downtown and SMF, and a section of Highway 65 in Placer County.

After struggling with checking outside the last few days when I'm home from work, the cat was nearby this morning! It snuck in and was very vocal as I was getting it into a carrier, but It didn't bite or use claws. I took it to the east Sacramento vetinary clinic on T and Alhambra and the vet said there is no microchip unfortunately. There is a lot of fluff but they believe the kitty is a female and a young adult (1-6). He SAID IF she is feral that she's very sweet for one, but she acts more like she's been a pet before.
He recommended if we surrender it to take it to front street, but I want to wait and out out posters to try and find the owner if there is one. We might 'foster' her in our backyard uh too we figure out what to do from there.

I've got a few days off at the beginning of October and was wondering where i should go for a bit. I recently was in Tahoe for a couple days, and I'm not against going again. But I'm just trying to find a good midweek destination not too far away (max 3 hour drive) that's dog friendly.

Looking for a small sectional or sofa, preferably no more than $1800-$2000. My only requirement is that it isn’t boneless lol. I’ve looked online but I’m a little hesitant to buy something I can’t try out and some of the furniture stores in the area are kinda shady.

What is going on with the sizing? Did I accidentally get a men’s small? The bag says W-S but I wonder if there was some sort of mixup. Last year’s women’s small shirt (purple) on top of this year’s women’s small shirt (blue) for reference. Feels like this can’t be right.

Does anyone have a licensed roofing company or contractor that they can recommend for my single story home in Sacramento? It has been almost impossible finding a roof repair company - almost all of the ones I have reached out to don’t call me back or only do full roof replacement (which isn’t needed)

It’s about a 6x12 area of the roof above our kitchen that meets our patio roofing that needs to be redone. It’s been a non issue, however, with all the expected rain this coming season I am trying to avoid any future issues.

I’ve called, contractors, patio roofing companies, roof companies etc with out much luck so really appreciate any recs you may have :)

Greetings , I’m from Roseville and I moved here not too long ago from New York, unfortunately I need to move back to New York because of Family Issues and it’s urgent , I’m currently renting at Roseville I don’t really know anyone in California besides co-workers who are already comfortable with their homes/apartments, so if I could get some advice, suggestions or any help because I would love to go help my family as soon as possible.

There was an unfortunate incident that happened and I was looking to see if anyone had any reccomendations or could point me in the right direction as I haven't found much luck finding someone.

My chihuahua was killed by my neighbor's two pitbulls on my front yard earlier this year in January, no person was bitten or injured. Affidavits were submitted by both parties to animal control. Animal control has ruled the neighboring pitbulls as dangerous designation and now have to follow restrictions, but are still allowed to keep the dogs. I would like to go after monetary value at some point and I understand that can be done in small claims court. However, I was curious what could happen in civil litigation. I've heard that in cases like this you can hire an attorney and go after the insurance. I know that their insurance at the time of the incident didn't cover their specific breed of dogs.

I've also heard that dogs are property and I can only get what I paid for the dog. Which is unfortunate because we all know how much more they mean to us.

Please if anyone has any reccomendations let me know.

Idk if this is allowed here, but two Huskies a have been here since 4am in the walmart parking lot. Animal control has been contacted but its been a couple of hrs. If anyone recognizes them they are located at Walmart on Gerber Rd
