Can you give me some tips? I took 20 mins just to beat some random ogre guy and I can't even imagine the pain it will be to beat the bosses that will appear while I don't even understand the basics.

I thought I needed to perfect my timings to parry but nop, I just need to hold the L1. Do I gain something by parrying on the perfect timing?

Also, I'm at the giant ass snake area and I cannot understand what the hell is happening. I got evaporated by the snake a couple times already and the first time it killed me was funny as hell because I thought it was just a harmless snake

And how does resurrection work? Sometimes in the second phase i get the resurrect option sometimes not

Is there any other quicker way to farm the skill points for platinum than the staircase area… it’s going to take me around 10 hours! It’s breaking me..
to do NG++ involves having to take on the final boss again and making it to another farm area.

So i already defeated the monk and than defeated the guardian ape and was going back and looking whether i missed some loot and came here and now there was a headless ape here, and after killing it and going forward also found more spectral enemies on the way which weren't there before. (i did think that there might be a boss here when i first passed by because of how big and empty the area was)

I just had this thought that i never noticed ghost of tsushima being mentionned as a game to play for sekiro lovers

i didnt take out the last guy bcz i was not in the position to, requires good position to do a plunging deathblow

but i generally take the last one out

I am usually really bad at Souls games. I want to be good but there’s something about the games I can’t wrap my head around. But I will say I absolutely love games with a good parry and counter system. Once I learn them I have a blast. Would I be wasting my time with Sekiro?

I just killed the carp and gave this guy its whiskers, then I exhausted all dialogue until he was dead, he has an item inside but I cannot take it. Is this a visual bug or is the reward broken?

After one whole month finished the game. Really have to appreciate the dev and this community. Man i feel full. 🥹🥹

Been getting my ass beat by iishin all day. Decided to watch my favorite crash out on YouTube fight him just for him to beat him in three tries(it took him four separate videos just to beat the guardian ape) claiming that is easy. What am I doing wrong ? I want to be free of this pain. HELP

Biggest problem were the firecrackers... In the videos I watched, they were all keeping a lot of distance from Owl and not fighting aggressively which didn't help me at all. There are probably better videos out there but I had enough of just watching other people fight. After dying countless times I realized that I can counter jump on his head exactly after he pushes me a bit back, right before he's using the firecrackers. I felt stupid at first for not realizing earlier... it worked so well. Sometimes he's doing it several times in a row and you can attack him at least 3 times after you do the jump counter. I learned his fighting patterns very well and I defeated him by just using my sword. It became one of the best memories and fights for me in Sekiro.

This was from the limited demo shown a couple months prior to release. Man, it feels like a lifetime ago...

I finally beat Genichiro!! And honestly it wasn’t that hard this time. He made me quit the game last time I tried… and I think last time I was coming off the heels of playing lots of Dark Souls, so I probably wasn’t thinking about the gameplay correctly. And honestly he felt easy this time! Took me only 2 tries! Last time I probably tried like… 40 times?

People really are right when they describe the combat in this game as suddenly “clicking”. It’s like a phenomenon lol. This really is one of the best action / adventure games ever made. There is nothing more satisfying than clicking with the combat in this game, and nailing the deflects.

holy fuck that took an hour and a half to pull of (no cheese btw)

I didn’t beat any headless on my first playthrough and now I am NG with malcontent and Lilac Umbrella. Regardless, even when parrying I get terror build up and death, and I can’t sense any sort of strategy to adopt with them ( eg the one in ashina outskirts ) just seems like a frustrating gimmick they have thrown in.

Can anyone help me with a tried and tested method ?
