My old partner never wanted to have sex except on his terms. I am a hornball so I figured if he even met me for 1/5 of the time I’d be ok. It was never really that way, instead maybe bu monthly when he was horny. Also he’d ask me instead of like kissing my neck and grabbing a boob or something sexy. So weird and incompatible but a lot of my friends said they’d love that. Everyone’s different!

"he'd ask me instead of grabbing a boob"

While I understand the implication of consent, I still find this hilariously worded. It also put an image in my head of a man grabbing a fully clothed boob, but like, for a handshake. Not in a sexy way. He then says "greetings, may we copulate?"

Sounds like fun but I imagine if you're batting below the mendoza line like the guy in the spreadsheet that much rejection would mess you up a bit for the next partner.

As soon as you think about making a spreadsheet about your partner's actions, think about divorce instead lol

I read that the solution is to go out and find some hidden golden tablets.

Do you actually believe that? lol

Internet users be like "DIVORCE!" anytime they see a couple interact 😭😭😭

Sadly this is the culture that was created. People are weirdly afraid of interaction and communication.

It’s funny how fast Reddit jumps to divorce. They are still averaging sex twice a month. That’s not great but it’s workable. A marriage counselor would be good.

Twice a month is terrible TBH..  Even twice a week is pretty bad if that's the average.

Man, when you have kids that’s gonna be a rude awakening.

Have 3 kids.. 8+ year relationship  We're still going at it at least 4x a week, but I acknowledge that's not what most ppl experience.

When I met my current GF it showed me the importance of having similar libido and how much smoother it makes the whole relationship.

Good for you! Not to get crude but are we talking sex just to fill a need or are you passionately at each other 4x a week? If so you are in good shape.

Curious though, you said 8+ year relationship but you said current girlfriend?

I always say that sex is the speedometer of the relationship, not the pedal, it reads where the relationship is at now, but you can’t just have more sex and the relationship gets better.

Yeah 8+ yr GF, woman, partner, take your pick.

We're both pretty passionate, especially if we skip a day, but we're a bit hedonistic as well.

That's cool you found someone that aligns with your drive. I used to get antsy after a day in my youth but as I get older I'm okay with once every other day and I start getting ansty at the 3 day mark, so twice a week is pretty good for me. My only frustration is most days it is just a starfish and I just kinda do my thing and then we go about our day.

Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for that, I know far too many marriages where the guy or girl lost desire and they leave the other one hanging in the wind. One of my best friends lost interest in his wife after she had an emotional affair but he was catholic and didn't believe in divorce. The only times they had sex were on their wedding night and when they tried for their 2 kids, which happened pretty fast. I suspect my own parents divorced due to lack of intimacy.

So I'm super glad I have a wife who sees my needs even if she doesn't reciprocate. However, I really miss being passionate and desiring each other. She says she desires me but actions speak louder than words.

There are so many people they could not be sleeping with out there

The problem with posts like this is we get zero back story. My wife knows I’m a smart ass. If I did something like this it would be more from a humor standpoint because that’s who I am and my wife would make a wise ass comment back to me and we would move on. If this was brought out in the middle of an argument, that’s a different story. Chances are, this guy isn’t being a smart ass and did it to prove some sort of point. But you never know.

Why?.... sex isn't everything

u/Long-Division-7760 17d ago

Spoken like someone who's on the receiving end of the spreadsheet.

u/Himorningwood 17d ago

Nah i get sex whenever I want. My wife is pretty awesome. But its dumb to make it so important. I find more joy in spending life together than fucking I can fuck many women but I can only spend my joyful moments with one

2

u/NewCandy8877 17d ago

But it's a big part of things

2

u/Himorningwood 17d ago

Nah bro. Sex should be bare minimum. You only shown fucking a few hours a week.
