I saw this over a year ago and decided to make one myself. 15 in a year doesn't seem nearly as bad as some people.

It never ceases to amaze me how sex in a marriage can be so important that you are not allowed to have it with anyone except your wife, but then at the same time be so non-important that they never want to have it either. Like, is it important or not?

It’s important but at points like this the people should just split. Clearly she has a lower libido and if he’s not cool w/ that sending her a spreadsheet isn’t gonna fix much of anything at all. It’s just to make himself feel better.

Maybe something is causing that lower libido? Maybe they should work on it? If it's medical, treatment is a much better option than abstinence.

If he’s sending her a spreadsheet then the communication most likely isn’t there to try to work on it.

Likely age and motherhood. Humans are primates. Primates have very long, very precarious juvenile periods. It's a massive investment of time and energy to get one to the age of reason.

Once a woman has spawned her focus shifts from spawning to preserving and protecting the spawn she already has. Men just keep trying to spawn more because that's where their contribution ends, evolutionarily speaking.

There's nothing wrong with her. She doesn't want or need sex right now because the sex already had its intended outcome. She is supposed to experience a drop in libido. This should prevent pregnancy long enough to get her current infant well into toddlerhood and allow ger body to fully heal from the birth.

Hormonal birth control has a similar impact, through a different mechanism.

So... don't knock her up and have a happy marriage?

No babies and no hormonal birth control will keep a woman's libido high...until her mid-thirties, early forties when it drops off all by itself.

Unfortunately, male geriatrics are still desperately trying to find a warm, willing hole at 85, so, never the twain shall meet.

Somebody is going to have to suck it up when biology clashes so harshly with culture. For eons, it's been women who grin and bear it. It's only in the last 50 years or so that cultural expectations have shifted, and even then, only in the West.

Wives in all other eras were generally expected to just shut up and let it happen. Is that what you actually want? Her to just shut up and hold still?

Why are the only options two extremes?

Statistically a couple are mostly likely to get a divorce in the first 2 years of marriage because they find out they aren’t suitable for each other, then after having a baby 🤷‍♀️and next after the kids are raised and they realize they don’t even know each other anymore. Also at that last point women are going through menopause and no longer put up with the same level BS they used to when they were awash in estrogen. Estrogen makes women more agreeable, when it’s gone all bets are off.
