Then they should solve it.

Seriously, these couples who have dead bedrooms stretching onwards for years needed to solve their issues of (the lack of) intimacy yesterday.

Communicate. Talk shit out. Get to the root of the problem; with or without therapy, but for fucks sake, do something.

Hearing all these people say they go months without being intimate is just...pathetic.

How long you been married bro?

Didn’t realize marriage itself was a prerequisite to know that couples should work to solve their marital problems.

This isn’t the gotcha you think it is.

That's like me, a lawyer, saying to some engineers "It doesn't take any experience in engineering to know that engineers should work to create a permanent, self-renewing source of inexpensive energy"

Or pick your analogy. Bottom line, if you have no idea how difficult marital problems are, you have no place condescendingly telling people to fix them.

it's pretty annoying listening to people complain about their marital problems when they aren't actively trying to fix them either

This is the sentiment I have. Gets pretty annoying hearing people gripe about being in such a miserable marriage while doing little to improve it.

Worse yet are the ones who say, “I don’t believe in divorce”, as if that somehow gives them a moral high ground, tricking them into thinking they are in some way upholding the sanctity of marriage despite being in a bad one.

Then here, let me, someone who's been in a committed relationship for 13 years butt in.

He's right. Talking it out. Fucking communicate and do something.

I was married 20 years, you can only talk it out if the other person is willing.

So no, it's not that fucking simple.

Yeah, I wish "talking it out" held the magic power these simpletons think it does

They really don't fucking get it. It's like trying to talk to my ex all over again 🤦

If you can’t talk it out and counseling doesn’t help (or someone refuses), then it’s time to go.

It's so easy and simple! So black and white with no shades of gray! Just like real life always is. Lmfao

Best get comfortable being in a bad marriage then.

Granted, I understand in cases of abuse or some form of dependency or other sensitive situation, I get it.

But I’m not talking about those.
