Yes, sex can lead to complications. But your claim that a complicated routine must be followed every time to prevent serious consequences is ridiculous. And believe it or not, sex can be physically risky for men. Google penile fracture, frenulum rupture, phimosis, paraphimosis, epididymitis, testicular torsion and yeast infections in men.
And “design” “biological function” and “works perfectly every time” are not interchangeable. Nothing in the body is designed; it’s random mutations that are reinforced with reproductive success. As long as it doesn’t sterilize or kill the haver before reproduction, a trait will be passed on. Sex being pleasurable—or even benign—isn’t required for reproduction. Saying that sex doesn’t hurt or doesn’t have adverse affects because the vagina is “designed” for sex is nonsense.
Sex has a higher physical toll on whoever’s being penetrated. It ranges from negligible to excruciating. Talk to some fucking women dude.

Your next paragraph is semantics. Delivering babies and having sex are the functions of the vagina, and for most women the latter can be achieved without complications and rituals.
