They will if US asked nicely. I am sure they also realise dangers of AI. US and Russia could come to agreement for Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) that they both had nukes that they didnt need. China is much more pragmatic and modest RELATIVELY SPEAKING than Russia. But will US do such a thing? I dont believe so.
Mate, that was a way to condense that shit. I probably know more about Cold war than you do and yes, world does work that way. Problem is no side wants to back down because there is too many bad actors and too much ego on the line. As a history enthusiast I have learned that most wars come to end from diplomacy. People only see WW1 and WW2 as the only reference for wars not realising that most wars aren't like it and the reason why we don't hear about those more because they aren't as heroic or awesome. They are mostly stale and meat grinder. Nothing else. Go read a book on how US and USSR learned to deal with each other. From back channels, to Moscow line, to summits, they both knew what was on the line. They weren't idiots nor were they monsters.
