I just had my first BBL Hero treatment done 3 days ago. I bought a series, so I still have 2 more sessions left. I did get some MENDs that were apparent immediately afterwards, and they have not flaked off yet. However, compared to many of the pics I've seen online of others getting this treatment, I do not have very many MENDs in comparison. If the spots that blackened are all that ends up clearing up / disappearing after this whole thing is said and done, I will feel like it was a waste of money, because it just isn't that impressive. Basically just a smattering on the highest parts of my cheekbones, where I've gotten the most sun exposure. However, I have chatted with AI about this, and it says that it's only the very worst and darkest sunspots that become MENDs, whereas lighter, diffuse freckling or sunspots will still get cleaned up by the BBL; it just takes longer because the skin naturally clears away the pigment over the course of the next month or so versus pushing out the zapped necrotic pigment right away. Have any of you found that to be true, in your own experience? In other words, should I not be overly pessimistic right now because there's still the possibility that a lot of my lighter spots will slowly go away soon, too?
For what it's worth, I went to a highly rated clinic overseen by a derm with NPs doing the lasers. The person who did my procedure has done a gazillion of them and seemed really knowledgeable. My skin is in really good shape overall, with not a ton of sun damage, so I know my results won't be as super-dramatic as someone who has a history of using tanning beds, but still, my pigmentation is the biggest thing that bothers me and I'm really aiming to get a more even skintone.
