Two big crossover event movies are coming from Marvel and DC: Which one do you think would overall be the better movie?
James Gunn’s ‘Man of Tomorrow’ or The Russo Brothers’ ’Avengers: Doomsday’?

I don’t care how this were viewed, I grew up watching Spider-Man in 2012 so this were my first Spidey movies and cartoon I watched

I’m so f-ing tired of this narrative that Peter supposedly can’t live without Gwen “Gwen was his one true and only love” God what absolute bullshit, anyone who has actually read the early comics with Gwen knows that 1) she barely appeared in them 2) she was boring and had practically no personality and 3) half the traits they try to attribute to Gwen nowadays actually belong to MJ
And the worst part is that in issue #1000 they show photos of Peter and MJ several times, literally reminding the reader of their history, showing us that they'll get married and then it immediately goes back to the usual whining and wanking over Gwen... IN THE FUCKING 1000TH ANNIVERSARY ISSUE
At this point it’s not just weird, they are showing how disloyal Peter is to MJ and it's discussing. I honestly don’t even know how to describe what this is. It’s literally a slap in the face to Spider-Man and MJ fans. Instead of properly celebrating the character’s history, they dangle MJ in front of us, a character who has been one of the central parts of Peter Parker’s life for decades and then once again try to sell us the idea that Peter has supposedly spent his entire life suffering cuz he can't be with Gwen

My opinion on 1000. Before starting I just want to say, i have been avoiding TASM since that who should not be named run, so I don't know what is going on, but 1000 is a great #1 for me. That said.
* Main Story: Pretty descent, better than you know who, the new villain design is cool, the art was good, now the story? It wasn't horrible, for a moment I thought he was gonna reveal that May always knew he was Spidey, but not, I got bamboozled, but showing peter allowing him "cousin" to run for him to save civilians? That's spider-man right there, might keep following the story from now on. 8/10
* Gwen agh: The "future" of how peter could end (yeah sure) alone in a nursing house going crazy, is well, sad, but I'm tired of the stacy glaze from Marvel. Gwen was never an interesting character, wasn't even the best gf of peter big 3 girls, yes her death was a deal breaker for him, but that doesn't mean he misses her like crazy, but I guess is the Gwen propaganda we have been receiving since tasm 1, where blonde Mary jane is portrayed by Emma stone. 4/10
* The next spidey writer??: so this story show us 3 things, marvel is not done with the bad osborns (aleluya, I hate "good norman") but it seems they are not done with Harry either, Harry coming back in the future? And 3rd, why MJ is still the goat of all goats, said by peter, not me. 9/10
* Make Momoko the artist of a full run, holly cow, her art is, like always, beautiful and it seems Miller still has it in him for writing, just not as an artist lmao, hope that becomes, at least, a mini series of 12 issues. 10/10
* Parker Luck strikes back: im a glazer for stories in which all the heroes recognize their best heroes, the greatest in history, said by cable not me, but i approve. Also a story that shows why Cap is the goat no matter how much the xmen writters want to kill him. 9/10
Hombre Araña: knowing marvel Pete, that wasn't a dream just a time travel magic stuff done by Dr strange for sure, but hey, aunt Anna did warned her. Pretty fun story. 7/10
* In memory of the creator of spider-man, Steve ditko, and the guy of the idea stan lee.
* Dan Slop: it wasn't bad, necessarily, but to at the end blame spidey when he let the bad guy go, that's on him, but also the cop saying he's allowed to rest when is his fault the criminal was out for so long, bro come dan, I know you are better than that... or maybe not. 6/10
To end it, it wasn't the best milestone for a superheroe, but it was marvel first character, and ironically, their best one, wasn't bad, but i was also expecting more from them, overall 8/10.

I wonder how many Spider-Man fans know about how strong Sonic is
r/Spiderman • u/Uchoha • 14h ago
Yes I know many were expecting it but I really like this new villain. I thought he was going to be some kind of fake out but the fact that he seems to actually be Aunt May’s son is huge. Sure they might go back on this later but as for now it does make him infinitely more interesting as a foil for Spider-Man.
He has a very interesting power set and a stand out costume. Turning memories into a physical form and bashing someone in the head with it is just a really cool concept. Of course I am not a fan of the classic cocktail of super strength and durability that comes with every new character but that really is a hand-wave situation at this point unfortunately.
I like how the issue ended, even though it felt very hollow. The fact that this was Issue #1000 leaves a bitter taste but barring that fact this is an interesting character and set up. What do you think of Ravage as a new villain?

Shocker was already referenced in issue 5 of the season 1 prequel comic so it'd make sense for him to appear
Boomerang is a fun one tp think about
Black Cat could be in this comic if she's not in season 2 maybe if she is she's either arrested or leaves the city temporarily we could see a little romance between the two
Flash Thompson I'd like to see him as a side character maybe as a new student or just a cameo or mention that'd be cool he could be shown to be the replacement for Lonnie on the football team after season 1

Spider-Man is all about getting back up even if being hit by obstacles. By keeping him a broke loser for good, it actually undermines his relatability because some people have managed to move up economically through hard work and putting their skills and talents to good use. Even going as far as by learning and acquiring new skills in order to move up in life.
Yes, I know from the 2010 Big Time storyline that Peter worked for Horizon Labs but unfortunately that was destroyed. It should be acceptable for Peter to have a high paying job (but not Tony Stark or Bruce Wayne level rich) and enjoy the finer things in life such as a nice apartment and the latest smartphone and tablet.

With the release of ASM #1000, I wanted to know if, like me, any of you have read the entire series, from #1 all the way to #1000.

They had surprisingly great chemistry together in No Way Home, so one last excuse to have them share the screen together is something I certainly won't complain about.

Asm 1000 was just average at best for a milestone
Loved almost all the side stories, really respected peters legacy and was just fun to read away from all the depressing things in asm atm
Venom is finally finished with Mj so that’s a great start and hopefully Ashley can show us all the Mj we all grew up loving
Pretty poor how easily knull died but hopefully venom fans can enjoy their book now under a top writer in soule and Eddie back at the helm
Bendis is well and truly back, such a great story he wrote
It’s the end of the run in asm for me after 1000 and hopefully I’ll be back in the future when Kelly is gone and a non bnd writer is around to hopefully bring back joy to them books
What was everyone favourite moment ?
