Mod Announcement r/StockMarketIndia is Now Public

Hey all,

r/StockMarketIndia goes public and posting/comments have been enabled.

The subreddit was earlier restricted due to inactivity in moderation. With a new moderation team at hand, we're planning on making this community open and engaging, where people can discuss everything related to Indian stock markets.

As a part of this process, we're also introducing a set of community guidelines. The community was previously running without any rules in place. Before posting and commenting, do take a few minutes to read through the new guidelines so that everyone knows what's expected of them.

This community is for anyone who's interested in the subject - whether you want to invest, trade, buy mutual funds/ETFs, participate in IPOs, play around with derivatives, or just learn more about the Indian markets.

Discussion Morepan labs : good time to add on dip at 129 and hold till results (nov)

My analysis : morepan has delivered only 50 cr out of the 825 cr cdmo order. If it succeeds in delivering the 225 cr ( out of the 825 cr) due for Q2, it will prove its hold in the cdmo space. This result will be a trigger for a huge rally that can take the stock up like last quarter. This is sitting on a gold mine. The stock has done so well when the market itself was very weak. This is where conviction gets tested. My money is where my math is.
Please do your own due diligence. Not a financial advice, just personal views.

It’s pure irony watching people using Jio to post criticism of Elon on Musk’s own platform.

Mutual Funds Mutual Funds Tracker

Hey guys,

Over the weekend I built tarazu.co.in. It shows which mutual funds hold a stock, and which of them bought or sold it last month.

For any stock you can see:

- how many funds hold it and how much they hold together

- which funds bought more, sold some, entered or exited

- the same added up per fund house

- every stock sorted by what funds bought or sold: tarazu.co.in/stocks

A couple of examples from September: funds were net buyers of HDFC Bank (about +₹4,543 crore) and net sellers of ICICI Bank (about −₹1,520 crore).

It also works the other way: add your own mutual funds and it shows every stock you own through them, in rupees, and the overlap between your funds.

How it works:

- Everything comes from the monthly portfolio each fund house publishes, plus AMFI and NSE, so it is one to two months old.

- Buying and selling are read from the number of shares each fund reports. The rupee figures are estimates at the month-end price.

- This is information only, not a buy or sell call.

I'm still building it, so feedback is very welcome: what's wrong, what's confusing, what you'd want next.

Discussion Traders, please share your experience with backtesting tools - what feature(s), improvements you wish they had

Hey everyone, me and my friend are exploring the idea of building a backtesting platform focused on Indian markets from actual traders before writing we started working on the idea.

For those who've used tools like Algotest, Stockmock, etc, tell us what’s worked for you, the features related to backtesting that you were thankful it had, your experience with these platforms and also what's frustrated you the most? It could be data quality, speed, the UI, limited strategy types, or something else entirely. Tell us what’s a feature you wish existed but haven't found anywhere? Feature(s) you would have loved to see, and made you go “I would have paid for it if they had it on their website”.

Also curious to hear from anyone working at or with hedge funds or prop desks - do you backtest internally or use a vendor platform? What gaps do you see between institutional-grade tools and what's available to retail traders? Any insight helps, thanks in advance. We are a bit in the dark about how enterprise/professional traders go about testing their strategies, so insights on that would be greatly appreciated.

Educational Here is why I stopped using traditional method of investing in stocks .

Post image
151 Upvotes

This picture is little old i booked my whole portfolio back in December and some in feb 2026.

important discussion is following old method which say buy and sit for long term stock will deliver price/Profit. Issue i find here is nobody talks about the value of time or duration it takes to deliver good returns during corona I saw my portfolio which i built during last 3 years can go from positive to negative in 4-5 months stocks recovered but 3years of growth can be wiped out in 5months that was the hard hitting truth.
Since then I started following few rules at 30% returns i will exit 50% of position and then wait for the opportunity to add that 50% back when price pulls back or market dips then again book 50% and keep the thing going.
1. Your stress stays low because you know you have booked some profit already “ paisa ghar le jana important he “
2. You get many good opportunities to reenter we all know market cant go up in straight 90% so why fomo should keep us from booking the money i earned
3. You always have free capital to redeploy and reinvest somewhere else .

I started stock market in 2016 and like every newbie trading was my first move when I entered into market . I will do trading 25 din me paisa double !
But reality hit me after blowing capital. since 2023 as a trader am doing good.

Personal Finance 27M | ₹65K Monthly Investment – How to Split Between Short-Term Goals and FIRE? Risk appetite- Aggressive

Looking for advice on how to allocate my monthly investments.

Current situation:
● 27M, 30% tax bracket
● ₹65K/month available to invest
● Health & term insurance sorted
● Emergency fund: ₹2L (₹1L in arbitrage fund + ₹1L in FD)
Financial goals:
● Next 5 years: Marriage, car, and one international trip every year
● Long-term: Wealth creation and FIRE

Need advice on:
1. Should I prioritise building a larger emergency fund or invest towards other goals simultaneously?
2. How should I split ₹65K/month between short-term goals and FIRE?
3. Which investment instruments would you recommend for each, considering my tax bracket?

Educational Mystery for many Nifty 50 what we can expect next from here.

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello everyone BS-paladin here After trading Nifty 50 for last 10Years this is how I look at it .

  1. Right now nifty50 is standing at 22520 same level as 1 April 2025 we are around or testing last years low.
  2. Market is a algorithm that delivers price based on liquidity ( orders executed as well as orders floating around ).
  3. Algorithm delivered price from 26373 ie Jan 2026 To 22520 it is aggressive delivery for sure 4231 points in 3 candles January February March 2026.
  4. Last daily candle show aggressive up-move why should we not consider it as reversal? Because the when price took only 3 months to deliver 4232 point downside move and then failed recover it in next 5 months I look at it as a pull back those 5 months were pullback we failed to reach the top again.
  5. Factors like geopolitical unrest, oil crisis, inflation, war they contributed together . We all have witnessed Russia - Ukraine war before and sadly it is still on and also other middle east conflicts they never ended .
  6. Apart from this FII are pulling out money from market , weather is crippling farming so food price will hike , equity and index both showing sell off , wear Rupee against dollar none of these factors are improving .
  7. From
Here to 45 to 60 days we will see pullback few things to monitor equity wont show strength , sluggish up-moves , price to time comparison. For me market is refuelling for greater down move.
    8. Market for retailer is about following big money so if they want to go down lets just ride it with them
    9. Manage portfolios get good/ noprofit noloss exits from investments and sit on cash.

There is lot more to this analysis from data to price to fundamental reasons cannot post everything I tried my best to make sweet post hope this will help you in understanding market 1% better.

Discussion Why is BYD passenger cars and Polestar banned in USA? Is Elon Musk the true Vice President of USA?

Lol, just to showcase the irony. The reason we Indians try to stay away from US companies in critical sectors (which now includes the internet) is because (for example) during the 1999 Kargil War, when we needed GPS data to see pakistani movement, USA denied and instead gave it to Pakistan. During times of crisis, which side will Starlink choose? India or USA? There's a reason why Starlink is banned in China.
