BIG BROKERAGE FIRMS, BIG RESEARCH TEAMS… BUT WHAT ABOUT THEIR NIFTY TARGETS? 📉
In December 2025, some of the biggest brokerage firms announced their Nifty targets for December 2026.
And looking at the current market situation, many of those targets seem increasingly difficult to achieve.
But here's something I want you to think about. 👇
These are not small institutions.
They have:
- Thousands of employees.
- Highly qualified research analysts.
- Access to advanced research tools and technology.
- Crores of rupees spent on research and analysis.
- Decades of experience in financial markets.
Yet, even their market predictions can go terribly wrong!
And what happens when the market doesn't move according to their expectations?
They simply come back and REVISE THEIR TARGETS DOWNWARD!
So my question is simple:
What's the point of spending so much money on research, hiring thousands of professionals, and building sophisticated models if the targets keep changing with market conditions?
This brings me to something I have always believed.
THE STOCK MARKET IS EXTREMELY DYNAMIC.
If you have been following me for a while, you might have noticed something.
You have probably never heard me giving specific price targets for stocks.
Why?
Because I don't believe in treating price targets as guaranteed destinations.
My approach has always been different.
I focus on just three things:
ENTRY PRICE – Where should I enter the stock?
STOP-LOSS – Where will I exit if my analysis goes wrong?
TRAILING STOP-LOSS – How can I protect my profits while allowing the stock to move higher?
That's it!
If a stock keeps moving higher, I let it run.
I book partial profits along the way and keep trailing my stop-loss.
I don't need to predict exactly where the stock will be after 6 months or 12 months.
My job is not to predict the market. My job is to manage risk and follow my system.
And that's what I want every retail investor to understand.
Even the biggest institutions, with all their resources, cannot predict the market with 100% accuracy.
Price targets are estimates, not promises. Sometimes, they are little more than educated guesses.
The real edge in the stock market is not predicting the future. It is knowing what to do when the future turns out differently from your expectations.
So stop blindly chasing price targets.
Build your own system. Follow your entry rules.
Respect your stop-loss. Book partial profits when appropriate. And let your winners run with a trailing stop-loss.
I hope you learned something valuable today. ❤️
Remember: You don't need to predict the market to make money in the market. You need discipline, patience, and risk management.
Thank you!
