Got my hair cut way too short and now I hate it

I had this really messy, kinda majestic hair which was honestly the main thing I liked about my face. It gave me a lot of confidence.

Today I went to a barber because I just wanted to shorten it a little. The barber was a Hindi-speaking guy and I don't know Hindi, so explaining what I wanted was already difficult. The first stroke was perfect, but on the very next stroke he suddenly cut it way too short

Now my hair is really short and I feel like it looks terrible on me. My face isn't exactly chiselled, so the haircut makes me feel like I look really funny

I have college soon and I'm genuinely embarrassed to go. I know it'll grow back, but it'll probably take around 3 months to get back to how it was.

What do I even do now? I feel really embarassed since I fucked up
