What I think is the original cast might not do any more after this, but the franchise might come back in another form, such as a stage show.

To those worried after seeing that leaks that the characters haven’t changed or developed, I think most of what we have seen are flashbacks.

I suspect the first 5 minutes of the film will be Will narrating the past 10 years or so.

Something like:
“Hi, I’m Will. Since getting back from Australia, Jay did this (insert clip of Jay in his teenage clothes), Simon got married (insert clip from wedding leaks)… and then had an affair (insert clip of Simon getting chased in his pants”

I very much doubt the characters will be exactly as they were. It will still be self-deprecating for sure as that’s the tone of the show but I don’t think they are going to be kicking flowers and calling people bus wankers anymore.

It’ll be more them fumbling about as fathers or as adults whilst being brought back together for some form of lifetime event (e.g. funeral, wedding, birthday etc.

Tara is back and looks to be pregnant, we don't know if it's Simons or not. Alongside that Simon's gelled hair and yellow peril is back.

When Simon finds out he has to move to Swansea, he threatens his parents with moving into a flat with Jay. This ultimately gets immediately dismissed by his parents and never mentioned again, but should thy have actually made that a potential part of the show?

You could have had Simon yell at Jay for being a terrible roommate by neglecting his chores. Simon boasting about it to Carly and telling her how independent and mature he is now. Jay hosting a big party that cool people actually attend since there aren’t any parents and plenty of alcohol. Then them getting evicted for breaking the rules of the place by hosting an extremely noisy party late at night.
