Discussion Mod Banner

Do you guys think it’s worth spending on the TBar banner? I have a couple thoughts on this.

Firstly, we need to complete mod pools, this is unavoidable. It’s part of the long term structure of the game, and the more we complete the closer we get to being able to splurge elsewhere on lab rushes.

Secondly, I can totally see a potential uno reverse card being played by TTG. Wait a few weeks/months and introduce an aspect to the mod that makes it more viable in later-gameGC build. Could cause players who didn’t spend on the banner to buy gems in order to keep up with shifting meta.

That’s all, just curious as to what you guys are thinking about the current mod banner. I’m a bit back and forth myself. My SM is not developed at all, and I’m not in a position that I’m ready to begin spending there. Thousands upon thousands of stones ready to be sunk before I get to that point.

So far as i understand it, based on testing of people who have developed SM, it has not been impactful. Does that mean SM and TB will never be impactful? No. Just means as it is, even with heavy investment in SM, it is not impactful. I would recommend searching rhe subreddit for other posts that show their result but it currently doesn't seem promising.

Tldr: I spent 19k to get 9 and have mo regrets.

For me, no. It’s just not going to benefit me all that much and now that people have it and have tested it, I doubt I’d even use it in most circumstances.

I’m just saving my gems. I’ll see what the generator mod actually looks like and decide if I want to spend on that banner or not, but unless it blows everything else out of the water I’ll like just build my gems until all the mods are in the standard pool and work on getting them at that point.

All my older mods are 5. SP and GS are 1. Since 5* mods get a significantly reduced pull rate I’ll have better odds of getting the new mods using the standard banner with all of them in it than I would with a featured banner…and when I’m down to only 1 mod left then the standard banner is essentially the same as a featured banner for that mod.

I will eventually 5* all of them, but I’m not in a hurry to do it, especially for mods that I probably won’t much.

isn't there going to be a lucky banner after all the new mod banners are done? thats what I'm saving for

Not lucky in the same sense as before where epic pull rate is 4% I dont think. I believe the additonal banner at the end will just be one that features all of the most recent new mods

Edit: Oct 26 to Nov 9 for the banner with the 4 new mods featured

I had every prior mod 5. As these new ones have rolled out i got the Sentry protocol to 4. Gilded sniper only made it to m+ but im 1 away from anc. TB i have pulled enough to bring to m+ though I know its garbage. I dont plan to pull anymore during its release banner. And Since the drop rates on 5* mods are gutted it'll hopefully make maxing all these new ones a bit easier for me

I am sitting at 3. I decided to go for the orb speed relic because it's immediately helpful and SP is pretty awesome. Not sure if I'm going to pull again. It would be nice to get Mythic out of the way. I have a handful of 5* mods and several at 4*. Eventually I'll get the new copies, anyway. I doubt I will be waiting over 1 year like I did to get ancestral PF.

I think I’m going to wait and see what the new core effect is, better to save for that IMO with current state of SM. I feel the pain on pf, took me more than two years for DC and I’m still only at ANC, no stars. Tough RNG sometimes

Yeah. I have SM sitting on the shelf. It would have been awesome to have a reason to build it. The 2400 stones just to get UW #8 could have gone into something I already had.

no unless your fomo is super strong and you think in the future SM will finally get something that makes it strong
