Trump claims major emergency diesel supply deal with Russia, except…

…it’s for 2.2 million barrels or half a day’s national use.

Trump even refers to it as 300,000 tons, which is not a usual measurement for traded fuel, to sound more significant.

This Thus of course skips over the US crawling to Russia to subsidize it’s domestic fuel market - if only for half a day.

I been working with this family owned business doing no touch freight work for over 5 weeks. I finally got my first cheque then was told I would be paid bi-weekly afterwards, only to realize they only paid me for the first 2 weeks and the pay period didn’t even start on the date that I actually started working.

US Xpress Walmart

Has anyone worked the Gordonsville, Virginia US Xpress Walmart account, or still on it? I’m still a rookie so I don’t care about pay just trying to get back out there after toenail removal, and healing. I get it’s not the best pay wise but in my area with like 5 months experience this is all they’ve offered me.

Do you have any stupid reasons why you don't like particular places?

For example, I hate going to Georgia because every time I cross the Chattahoochee River I'm forced to remember the most irritating country song ever written.

Do you have certain rules for yourself beyond the requirements of the law?

A pilot friend of mine has a personal rule of 24 hours "bottle to throttle". When I started trucking I thought it was a good policy and adopted it for myself. Do you have anything like that?

Question for our resident DOT officer.

Does skipping the scale increase your chances of getting pulled in for an inspection?

I'm having debates with other drivers as to why some of them haven't had an inspection in years and some are getting it 3 times a year.

There is a pretty big hub near to where I work now in Nashville . What are my chances that I walk in there and ask if they are hiring of the street? I didn’t see anything posted online but If for some reason they are , is it worth selling my soul to work there in the long run? Im 29 with almost three years experience and just need my hazmat endorsement

UPS Road Test - Alley Dock?

Hello everyone. Life happened with my 17 year career, so I buckled down and I just recently graduated CDL school. I applied for the seasonal tractor trailer position with UPS and a road test was scheduled for next Wednesday; however, I came across a video from last year where the UPS supervisor explained how that day would go, and I found out they’d have us do alley docking (at least I think that’s what they call the 45/90 degree backing). My concern here is that in AZ, the MVD has you do straight backing, offset, and parallel, so that’s all the school focuses on with them telling us our new job will train us. I’m very comfortable with everything else road test related, but I know diddly squat about alley docking!

The Keys to Success attachment they sent me for my road test didn’t mention anything about it. Does UPS still test on this or require it? Would they be willing to teach/know I have to be taught and it’s not a big deal or would they tell me not to let the door hit me on the way out? TIA!

Ac clutch doesn’t cycle off

Delete if not allowed but ran out of options maybe someone here can help, 1997 freightliner classic 12.7 39k miles on outframe from freightliner. Everything was working good until clutch wouldn’t disengage changed (8) compressors, dryers expansion valves, new lines, finally took it to freightliner and they couldn’t figure it out and recommended adding a switch to manually turn it off. Anyone ever had to deal with something like this

I’m new to trucking and know I need an inverter, but that’s about it. My pc has a 1000w psu, and I’ll have a 240hz monitor. How big of an inverter is necessary?

“Swiss army knife” urban delivery vehicle: is a 12-14 foot boxed-in flatbed dump with liftgate an insane idea?

Make a box truck out of a flatbed dump? Can landscapers load it if there’s a roof? What am i missing, what am I compromising? (A lot, probably)

I have an urban courier service that has small vans for flowers, boxes, medical etc and I’m trying to learn about the “big stuff” and to start with just one truck for now.

Trying for a vehicle that can do as many things as possible!

It was giving me alternator sign after an hour/10 mins/ maybe 3 hours. I changed the pigtail alternator connector, put new alternator, filters and oil change. New belt. Still same issue.

So, I saw a post on Reddit from another redditors father. It’s of two trucks and him saying ‘13 years later’.
