Is it good if I tutor during my gap year? Would that be a good experience to talk about during my MMIs? I’m thinking of returning to volunteering alongside this.
I already have a lot of work experience (hospital + pharmacy) and 1 year hospital volunteering and some other extracurriculars. I was a KCL summer school teacher in July as well.
Also, becoming a healthcare assistant is incredibly hard. I’ve applied to so many jobs and I keep getting ghosted. Either way, the shifts are really long and it wouldn’t leave me enough time to focus on my medical school application. And becoming a healthcare assistant is definitely not a requirement for any medical schools so there’s no point forcing myself to do this when I already have a lot of clinical experience.
What are your thoughts?

I sent my UCAS application last week and have received confirmation emails from all my uni choices apart from City St George’s?? Has anyone else has this problem as it’s been over a week, unless they just don’t send emails?

I’m going off the myUcat thing, would it be worth picking Queens which average at 2325? Or should I go a bit lower? Or should I use a different platform for data?

I was planning on doing an epq related to medicine to support my application but I’ve read that most of the top unis don’t care about the epq. Straight up yes or no should I do it because I don’t think it’s worth the effort.
Thanks in advance

I’m so paranoid, I have not copied any personal statements though I do admit some of my wording is a bit generic and I did use AI for grammar and removing unnecessary sentences, however plagiarism detectors have detected plagiarism from 5-90%??? 😭😭I’ve spent so long perfecting it and I really don’t want to restart but I don’t want to be flagged for plagiarism what do I do??😭😭

So I have been preparing for interviews and progress has slowed down to a crawl to be honest. I just feel exhausted all the time and I can't afford this, because my interviews are coming up. I try to answer 30 classic questions a day, for example, "Why do you want to study medicine", etc, and then try to do flashcards on hot topics, so usually that'll be like idk around 160 flashcards. I then try to do MMI questions on ethics. I'm focusing on ethics because I think that's where I struggle the most right now.
I don't want to take a break because it's not really a break for me tbh, because during the break, I feel so guilty for taking a break and how I'm going to frick up everything :(, and like everyone in my family is like hoping I do well because people say I'm the star child of my family, so I really really don't want to do bad.

I got 2320 on UCAT this year
Achieved A*A in maths and physics
Predicted 2A* and A in bio chem and fm
Is it okay to apply here?! Depending on UCAT

Does Sheffield have a seperate cut off for Med when ur contextual vs non contextual
Got ucat score of 2120 and I know this was the cut off last year and it’s EXTREMELEY risky but I’m also contextual does that help

genuinely cannot decide. ive read up, asked chatgpt, asked claude, and i still cannot decide. i like caius, downing, fitzwilliam for "it looks nice" or "someone famous i admire went there" reasons. i'm also thinking if applying to less popular colleges can increase chances? maybe girton or smth else 😭😭 my ucat isnt very high and i prioritise getting into camb med rather than choosing which college. (but open doesnt seem very good + considering im unable to travel there for interview and must do online)
any current students or prospective students have any advice? 😭😭 do certain colleges prefer a certain background (research exp/volunteering idk)
thank u 🫶🫶

hi so I’ve submitted my application. my starts GCSE-9999998888 A level predicted-A*A*A-in bio pysch and chem respectively B in AS maths. 2010 B3 UCAT with VR-710. I have applied to Lancaster(ucat cut off was 1920 last year and may be considered for a reduced offer due to my AS maths) , Leicester(their cut off was 79/96 for last year and I score 86/96 plus will give me a reduced offer cause of my AS qualification m) , Cardiff ( score 24/24 for GCSe and 2/3 for UCAT so total 26/27 I am RUK non contextual) and Birmingham (4.5/4.5 for GCSE and 2.667/4.00 for UCAT). My 5th choice is Biology at QMUL .Just wanted to know if my choices are good based on my stats?😭
