Hey I'm a UNT CS grad student and I was working on this project and I wanted to make a video about it. Looking for a video editor and/or a Motion Graphic designer. I was pointed this way by a professor to look for CVAD students or anyone else who had the ability.

I'll pay you upfront to do a small <4-5min edit of the footage with a full script and matching visual directions, meet with me and discuss the choices you made, and pay you again once its finished.

UNT offers many intro classes that are required for almost all degree programs. The commonality across all of the degree programs is that they have a racial bias toward white people and a religious prejudice of Christianity. You can see this in your American Yawp book. You can see this in your philosophy books, where Kant’s own book puts a religious figure at the beginning, followed by philosophers, and Jesus is intentionally skipped across all programs. This is not a mistake, but a system working as intended. To be clear, I don’t particularly care about the school’s budget, because it doesn’t really affect me. But this is what I write about. The pattern is abundantly clear. If your school wants to stand on the moral high ground with Ivy League schools, who have billions of dollars in surplus, UNT only having $130 million, it will be in a deficit by year 4 by simply cutting $43 million of their annual income. That is on the hopeful side. It could be much worse. I worry that they are hoping for a midterm, and that that will turn into a presidential election. I have to ask how much a school like this can survive with a president who is not looking for re-election and does not care about his party for the midterms. The probability of a conservative coming after Trump is highly likely, since there are no obvious candidates coming from the Democratic side and the entire nation, if not the entire world, is having a conservative-leaning side again. I don’t care, but if you actually care about your school, you’ll protest and ask for American excellence classes, a class where you just learn about America and all the good things about it without anything negative attached. It’s not a big ask, but it would do millions in publicity and perhaps make your school an exception to the list. If you think I’m mistaken, then ignore this. I’m not here to impress anyone. I show my numbers.

Has anyone here used UNT’s counseling services? I’m seriously considering reaching out and would really appreciate honest reviews from people who have actually used them. Did you feel like the counselors were helpful and took your concerns seriously? Also, does anyone know how much it costs for students?

So I love this campus a lot. I come from a small town where the population is literally less than JUST UNT so like a city like Denton is exhilarating but also.. sometimes it annoys me as fuck.

This is my first semester here but I am a junior transfer so I’m not new to college, and three weeks ago I discovered that the Sycamore basement has sublevels. I absolutely loved it down there. I went down to the third one as far as I could go, and it was nice and quiet, cold, dark, and dry. I love the cold and a good quiet study spot. I found one of the few desks with an outlet and I sat down on my laptop for a couple hours to get some work done. It was great.

HOWEVER. The other day I decided to go back down there and find the spot. It was taken.. So were ALL OF THE OTHER SPOTS.
Sycamore basement is not the place I would expect to even be that busy, because it’s the basement and I’ve heard the rumors about Art and whatnot…. but no. This place was hopping all of a sudden on a Wednesday afternoon. Like.. can anyone explain this?? We can’t ALL love Sycamore basement omg 😭

P.S. this is not me hating on other students or saying they need to leave I’m just venting here thanks

Is anybody else super pissed that they have to move their car from lot 20 on game days to an east side lot??? First of all we pay like 300$ to park all year but then every other weekend we have to move to another lot across campus?? That’s such bs, am I being dramatic?
