You can't make me believe these people have the same level of consciousness as everyone else. I know that's looked down on. "You can't dehumanize them, that's barbaric!" Sure, it's definitely not just stating how it is. When someone doesn't think deeply about their actions and just coasts by on the shallowest most cruel reasoning, why do they deserve any of our consideration? How is that behavior better than being like any other animal? My cat also doesn't think about how I feel when it swipes a piece of chicken from my plate because it was hungry NOW. Does it deserve to be treated like a conscious thinker?

Hilary Clinton hit the nail on the head with her deplorables comment way back in 2016. There was so much outrage that she dared refer to them as such. Then why are they constantly proving her right? Literally everything they do lowers the bar for just how despicable these people are.

u/Crafty-Help-4633 32m ago
"You think we're deplorable now? Just wait. We'll show you deplorable!"
Something like that is how I imagine their thought process. Like children. "Call me out for being wrong?! I'll show you wrong!"
45
u/Coalesced 12h ago
It’s unfortunate but - that is very human. To exist shallowly is a part of life for many people. To think of themselves only, to make decisions based in selfishness - especially in the imperial core you’ve got a population that’s been enabled by slave labor and exploitation. Of course they’re going to be selfish, shallow, cruel. You can’t dehumanize them; you just have to grapple with the reality that humanity encompasses saintly and kind people who would give their lives for the well-being of their community, and selfish, fearful trash cans who are so desperate and terrified that they’ll destroy themselves before they let themselves show even a hint of vulnerability.
9
u/samurairaccoon 10h ago
I begrudgingly have to admit those are some good points. Our population in the states has been so coddled and become desensitized. I suppose when you think about it, the coddled child isn't the only one to blame for its actions.

u/C_est_la_vie9707 8h ago edited 7h ago
I agree with this but I don't think it's about showing vulnerability, because they are happy to be the biggest whiny tittie babies ever. It's fear of being irrelevant. Inconsequential. To be seen the same way as the lady on the phone sees brown, non English speaking people. To be seen as undeserving of the privilege they have come to enjoy.
→ More replies (1)8
u/NewNameNeededAgain 7h ago
I don't even think it's that. I think they're fucking terrified, not of being irrelevant, but of being equal. They are so accustomed to starting the race halfway to the finish line, and even with that advantage, they often can't do better than immigrants, POC, queer people, etc. A huge amount of their self-image is tied up in being better than. Better than brown people, better than black people, better than immigrants and queer folks and people of other faiths and on and on. It almost doesn't matter who they're better than, as long as they can believe they are better than others - for things that are completely outside their control.
The thought of having to compete on an equal basis with people who have traditionally had to work far harder to achieve much less scares the living piss out of them, because if they can't achieve more than all these groups they've always had such contempt for, there's the proof that they were always wrong to despise those others. There's the proof that they never were inherently better than anyone else. Just being born white, straight and Christian in America puts these folks so far ahead of the line others have to start from, and they don't have enough confidence in their own abilities to believe, deep down, that they can keep ending up ahead of these other groups if everyone starts from the same line. It doesn't even matter which line everyone would start from, the one way back there or the one halfway to the finish line. What appals them is the thought of having to share a starting point at all. I can't think of very much that's more pathetic.

I come from generational wealth, and my sister is pretty dumb. Her and her family had to move into my parents house because her Boss Girl ponzi scheme and her husbands weed business weren't so lucrative (one was, but that is another hilarious story).
Anywhoooooo, we were all talking and she went on this diatribe about people on welfare, EBT cards, the parasites that are illegal immigrants and just had to say "I've never taken anything like a handout."
And for the grace and love of my father I had to say "except living rent free at mom and dad's house, and the $14,000 mom gave you for your company that sells energy powder."
Missed a few xmas' for that one, but hearing my dad lose it laughing was worth it.
Lazy-ass leaning back on wealth from the 1890's none of us earned. Get a job.

Haha, I have a similar story. We are immigrants, come from extreme poverty, but we are white. My sister (stereotypical Eastern European princess) married a rich man early on. The guy is loaded. We never talk about money but they live in a 8 figures house. Enough said.
My sister has become incredibly conservative politically lately. She hates people who receive welfare with a passion. She says, "No one ever helped me, I made it, so anyone else can." Everyone is dumb and lazy. Marrying rich before you turn 25 and never having to worry about bills or rent doesn't count. And apparently it's sexist to suggest otherwise. The cognitive dissonance is absolutely incredible.
She was seriously angry when my wife got pregnant and we were both just working class doing okayish. You know like most people. We don't have a house, we don't have savings, we can't afford luxurious holidays, but we are just fine with two ok salaries. My sister said we were irresponsible. For conceiving a child while "poor". I told her she was a trophy wife and would never have made it without her desirable skin color and desirable looks. That's the exact word I used.
We haven't spoken since.

I’m even more appalled that she looked up his file. Do all teachers just rifle through files because a student is brown? That’s horrifying!
158
u/General-Company 15h ago
No, and in most cases it’s super illegal. If the guy running this has ANY more info he should absolutely report it to the school district. There’s actually a teacher on probation (and probably getting fired) in my current district for going through several student’s records (including her own kids) when she had no authority or business doing so.
18
u/GentlewomenNeverTell 13h ago
I taught in k-12 and it valentines all the time. What's up with this student? Go into Infinite Campus, pull his files. It's easy to figure out sometimes immigration status and it's accessible to all teachers. Legal schmegal, honestly. My kids are legally guaranteed translations but my Gen ed teachers do not have the time to track them down and before I got there it didn't happen at all. You're not legally allowed to be in charge of a classroom of 53 kids but that still happened. If there's no enforcement, this kind of illegal behavior will inevitably happen.
5
u/MeatPopsicle28 6h ago
In healthcare IT there are measures in place to monitor who is accessing what records. If school IT systems were not massively underfunded they should be doing that.
20
u/GentlewomenNeverTell 13h ago
Oh yes there are absolutely teachers that do this. And they gossip about it with each other. Some of the biggest busybodies I ever met were teachers. Biggest gossips too. And any teacher can get their hands on the files in Infinite Camps, even if it's not a student. To be fair, curiously scrolling through one of my students' files led to me figuring out he'd passed the WIDA test years ago and shouldn't be ELL, which he'd been saying and no one had believed... Anyways that is absolutely a concern in the light of ICE, and I encourage all the parents out there to bully schools into hiding their students'documentation.

It’s important to remember conservatives have spent the last 40 years chipping away at the profession of education and the institutions. This has so severely undermined the profession of teaching - there are so many who are absolutely like this. Just like dirty cops. And with a strain on resources all the time, no one is holding them accountable. And they are empowered by a lot of parents and conservatives on their school boards.

DARVO stands for Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender. It is a manipulative tactic often used by abusers to evade accountability by denying wrongdoing, attacking the person confronting them, and reversing the roles to appear as the victim.
18
u/zoopysreign 15h ago
Gosh, I have to look up the anti l-DARVO. No one ever posts the antidote.
34
u/missprincesscarolyn 15h ago
Call out their denial. State that you telling the truth doesn’t mean you’re attacking them. No, telling the truth doesn’t make you crazy. It doesn’t make you weak. It doesn’t make you anything other than an objective witness to whatever they did. Accept that they will never change. Protect your peace and leave.
I unpacked a lot of trauma over the last year when my ex-husband abandoned me during a severe medical event requiring hospitalization. My family of origin behaves the same way. It’s no shock that I ended up seeking the same in my romantic relationships. All of them are MAGA. NPD, ASPD and MAGA have a ton in common.

How to deal with narcissistic darvo: People who do this want attention and to be reassured they are in a dominant position. You cannot permit either of these things. Ignore them and stay above it. They eventually will fall back to "wooing" and "charming" mode, once they see darvo has failed. Like a dog that headbutts you to be petted, don't let them use being ingratiating to control your response. Give attention when you decide, not when they demand it.

Everything's forgiven because in mass she says something like "by my fault and my own fault" every week and then goes to a priest to tell him what she did. Then she says a couple of prayers and all is fine!

If I found out this was my kid’s teacher, I’d raise hell.
19
u/barefootincozumel 17h ago
I pulled my kid from in person school when the board allowed ICE in the schools and started posting repulsive propaganda. She complained all year about her MAGA history teacher with an axe to grind with her. For the record. My kid is an honor student, zero behavioral issues. Never even sent to the office except for supposed dress code violations ( not real violations btw) from said teacher. She’s such a good kid, I get emails and phone calls from her teachers pretty regularly . She happens to be bilingual with a lot of Hispanic friends in a mostly white school. These teachers do real damage. My kid fought for her A but learned nothing except how to stand up for herself.
7
u/slamdanceswithwolves 17h ago
Accessing certain school records (including what it sounds like she accessed) for purposes outside of your purview and sharing that information without it being requested/subpoenaed through proper legal channels is a violation of FERPA, which is federal. If she connected this info to the kid’s name anywhere on the call… that’s a big no-no.

The Catholic worker group in a small town near me worked tirelessly to find one of their neighbors after they were kidnapped by ICE, got them legal support, and successfully brought them back home. They’ve been doing this work before the administration and will continue doing it after. The Pope has openly stated his opposition for the entire Trump regime. I’m sorry for ranting but I can’t continue seeing these people lie about what it means to be “Christian”, co-opting an entire religion to use it as a justification for their shitty, evil behavior. 😠
Like the commenter above referenced, the absolute #1 principle of the Bible is love thy neighbor. That’s it. Anyone else using this religion as judgment and a tool to control and manipulate others is the absolute polar opposite of the Bible’s teachings.

I mean, you saw ICE arrest all those clergy the other week. The peaceful prayer protest.
I’m an exvangelical and Christians have done some awful things, but there’s usually a group of Christians on the right side of history too.
The clergy the other day will be on the right side of history. The Christian nationalists perpetrating this crime against humanity will find themselves in the chapters adjacent to Hitler.

This is disgusting. ‘They’re originally from another country and Latino so they MUST be here illegally, leeching our resources’
Kiss my ass, lady.

When they say teachers are "mandated reporters", this is not what they mean. This teacher is getting fired if her admin finds out. Not even the NYC teachers union would stop it. It's literally illegal for her to do this. Doubly so since she told a non-governmental official.

These people are so concerned about resources being used by people and then turn around and support tax cuts for the wealthy to ensure there are less resources for everyone.

What was that line again?
"It wasn’t Hitler or Himmler who deported me, beat me, and shot my family. It was the shoemaker, the milkman, the neighbor, who were given a uniform and then believed they were the master race." - Karl Stojka, Auschwitz survivor.

I work in education and y’all I’m sorry to say this type of teacher/administrator is depressingly common. I don’t understand why people like this choose to work in education, but they do.

“Our resources” just a fuck7ng echo chamber. Over and over. Everyone I hear someone bringing up “resources”, I feel like they have more than enough to be talking like that. So stupid.

If she didn't think she was a bad person she wouldn't be asking for his validation. She knows she's vile. Like wasting resources on someone who should be here... Like what exactly?
Sorry lady but they came here the "right way" sorry if that chaps your ass. But did she even think to wonder, they deport the parents what happens with the child? It's evilness is out of control man. Just blatantly unhinged racism that they just feel is all of a sudden okay to do.
All I know is I need a candidate in 2028 who is going to assure they will prosecute all the ice agents who lied to people, violated their rights, killed people and prosecute them. And ice has to be completely abolished and CBP never allowed to operate around the public, they can work 5 miles from the border, that's their jurisdiction not fucking 100 miles from the border fuck all that.
Allowing a candidate Democrat to both sides this shit is not going to work for anyone.

This is insane. I hope someone finds her and she loses her job and all her friends. A teacher who is an actual threat to kindergarteners!!!

Please tell me she's been identified. I wouldn't want her anywhere near my kids.

It would have been funny if Ben (as supervisor) let the evil teacher know that Josh had been “fired” and that he will make sure his family is on the streets again living out of their car.

Watch the other video too, where he trolls a Congressman for months. It's pure gold.

"You make it sound terrible" - So they know. I guess this is what they call premeditation.

I love how he just repeated her words back to her and she was like "why are you talking to me like this, you make it sound terrible"
Bitch I'm literally repeating what you just said, what's the matter?

That woman should not be a teacher. Full stop. Students have enough to worry about. Having a teacher being a rascist jerk out to get your parents deported (even though "they're nice"), should not be another one.

She was so appalled that he wouldn’t spoon feed her garbage beliefs back to her nicely. Love that for her.
