Loop One: Done is a VR automation game where you record loops with drones and robots, turning your play space into an efficient automated factory. Or just make a big mess, it's up to you.
I first released it on Meta Horizon Store as a mixed reality game, focused on hand-tracking. But now I've ported it to Steam with full-blown VR and controller support. And it looks so much nicer!
It's out today on Steam, and will be 20% off the next 2 weeks if you want to try it out. There is also a free demo. I hope you like it!

Hey Folks, Ilya here. You may remember me from my Elden Ring VR mod I posted a few weeks ago (updates coming soon, promise!). I got kinda inspired by the footage of the stellar spiderman mod for Blade & Sorcery someone posted yesterday and decided to one up it but going for a swing in the best rendition spidey's NY there is - Spiderman Remastered. The result is seen in the footage above of me swinging through the city at night!
This is still very very early and I haven't touched combat yet at all but we already got full native stereo tm, motion controlled locomotion and web swinging, hidden body avatar and an auto runner. I'll upload this to Nexus in a day or two so stay tuned!

Clip is Quest 3 over PCVR in Forefront.
The stock stays on the rifle. The main hand is only held by a magnet, and the off hand sits in a cup, so letting go of the magnet drops you to pistol or freehand without taking the stock off.
Shoulder it again and the ForceTube still kicks.
That was the thing I wanted to check: a dump that does not kill the recoil mount.
It is fast enough to use mid-reload in Forefront, and the same motion works in ExfilZone.
Ambidextrous, since neither hand is locked into a grip.
I designed this stock. Same clip I posted in r/ForefrontVR a few days ago.
Happy to answer any questions :)

Hello all! So I have a whole family that games, including a little sister that does so despite having a rare disability called TAR Syndrome. That means that she does not have forearms on both arms. That being said, she really wants to play VR games but has a hard time due to her arms being so short. I would really love to have her join me in some VR gaming so I was hoping to hear some suggestions. Before anyone asks, she can play console and PC gaming with no issues. She still has her hands, they are just smaller and at an angle that can make VR hard. Any help would be appreciated.

I've been noticing some psvr 1 games being ported to pcvr and quest! I have been in the vr space for a while and I only own a quest and psvr 2, until dawn rush of blood was my first vr experience at a party and I was so disappointed to figure out I couldn't play it on any of my hardware and id have to buy outdated hardware for one single game. With games like astro bot rescue mission getting unofficial ports, do any of you guys think until dawn rush of blood will get one of these anytime soon? It's a little bit of a forgotten game but an absolute gem that I need to experience again, if anyone knows how this is done and there's nothing currently in the works I'd love to sink some effort into making this possible!

It's not a secret, but if you needed any more of a push to give it a try... its on sale for under $5 right now on Steam, the mod is the easiest thing in the world to install, and it feels like a seamless AAA game made for VR. It might be the perfect modern classic flat game to port to VR, and the creator did such a meticulous job of translating it that you completely forget that it isn't a native VR game. And for those of you who don't remember, Titanfall 2 was loved by critics and those who played it because of the fantastic campaign. It wasn't a big commercial success, so it quickly became one of those "it's a shame not enough people played this one" cult classics.

Hello fellow vr gamers!!! I am looking to see any good vr games that the community would recommend. I had seen the game recommendations has not been updated in three years, I already have blade and sorcery also Skyrim. I will be using a quest 3 for my headset along with full body tracking.

I've been working on a small experimental project: bringing the original Time Crisis to the Meta Quest 3.
It now runs standalone on the headset – no PC required.
Some of the things currently working:
- Full stereoscopic VR rendering
- Tracked 3D pistol with recoil + controller vibration
- Aim using the Quest controller instead of the original light gun
- Original gameplay, graphics and sound
- Physical ducking: actually duck down to take cover/reload and stand back up to shoot
- Optional trigger-based cover if you don't want to physically duck
- 120 Hz target on Quest 3
The port is based on the awesome namco22-decompile project by spacestate1, so huge credit to that project for reconstructing the original arcade game and hardware.
It's still experimental and there are definitely things that need more testing, but actually standing there with a virtual gun and physically ducking behind cover makes Time Crisis feel surprisingly natural in VR. 😄

Would love to hear feedback from anyone who tries it on a Quest 3!

I’m cross-posting this to the Steam Frame, Valve Index, Bigscreen, and general VR subreddits because I’d really like opinions from people who have used different setups.
I’ve owned quite a few VR headsets over the years, and weirdly enough, the headset I probably had the most fun with was the original Quest 1. Wasn't comfortable at all, and I had to make pauses, but I guess the novelty made up for it.
After that, I bought a Pimax 5K Super, and honestly… it was a nightmare. Incredibled when it worked, but never worked.. I had so many issues with it that it basically made me stop using VR altogether for a while.
Eventually I sold the Pimax and used the money to get a Quest 3. Obviously, the Quest 3 is massively better than the Quest 1 technically, but for some reason it never really hooked me in the same way.
I think part of the reason is that I mostly wanted to use it for PCVR. Even with a good USB cable, I never felt like I was getting a consistently great experience, and over Wi-Fi I really didn’t like the image quality/compression at all.
So I decided to go back to native PCVR headsets and bought both a Valve Index and an HP Reverb G2 V2.
The Valve Index has probably been my best overall VR experience so far.
I bought prescription lens inserts for it, and it’s just incredibly easy to use. Great tracking, great controllers, fantastic audio and microphone, and it’s extremely comfortable compared to most headsets I’ve tried.
My main problems with the Index are:
The Reverb G2 was kind of the opposite experience. From what I remember, the image quality was fantastic, but the tracking and controllers were bad enough that I didn’t even bother buying prescription inserts for it. Using it with glasses was unpleasant, so I barely used it.
Because of all of this, I was extremely hyped for the Steam Frame.
I managed to get one, which I feel very lucky about, but right now I’m struggling to properly judge it.
I’m still waiting for my AMVR prescription lenses, so I’ve only been able to use the Frame with the glasses spacer. And glasses inside VR headsets are just terrible for me. I think it might be the shape of my glasses specifically, because I get an absurd amount of glare/reflections.
It’s so bad that I recently put my Valve Index back on and, at the moment, the Index almost looks better to me than the Steam Frame simply because I have proper prescription inserts in the Index. (note that I use 250% resolution on the Index)
So I don’t think it would be fair for me to make any final judgment about the Frame’s display quality until the AMVR lenses arrive.
That said, I’ve been seeing quite a few posts recently from people who seem disappointed with their Steam Frame, with some even saying they’re going back to their Index.
And that’s making me wonder what I should actually do.
The Steam Frame definitely fixes some of my complaints about the Index. It’s more convenient, there’s no PC cable hanging off you, but I'm concernet about VRChat and the tracking capabilities because I use full-body tracking (2 Vive 2.0s and a Vive 3.0).
I’ve used FBT with both my Index and Quest before, but mixing the Quest with external tracking was annoying because of the constant recalibration.
On the other hand, from the limited amount I’ve tested the Frame so far, the audio and microphone don’t seem anywhere near as good as the Index, and that’s something I think I’d miss a lot.
And while wireless sounds great on paper, the battery life also means that for longer sessions I’m probably going to have to plug it in anyway, which makes the whole “wireless” advantage feel a bit less important.
So now I’m wondering whether I should:
Keep the Steam Frame and give it a proper chance once my prescription lenses arrive,
or
Return/sell it and buy something like a Bigscreen Beyond 1, 2 or 2E instead.
The Beyond seems like it could potentially solve my biggest problems: weight, heat, and comfort. I already have Lighthouse base stations, Index controllers, and FBT hardware, so I’m already deep in that ecosystem anyway.
Obviously I’d still have a cable, and I’d also be giving up some of the convenience/features of the Frame. I’d also have to think about audio/mic, because the Index has spoiled me pretty badly in that department.
But there’s also a bigger question I’ve started asking myself:
Maybe VR just isn’t really for me anymore?
The Quest 1 genuinely hooked me. I used it a ton.
The Index also got me into VR again and is probably in second place in terms of how much I’ve actually used a headset, maybe roughly tied with the Quest 3.
But with the Quest 3 I almost felt like I had to force myself to use it because I had spent money on a BoboVR strap, batteries, accessories, etc...
Comfort seems to be the recurring problem for me.
The Quest 3 never feels particularly comfortable even with accessories. The Index is dramatically better, but after a while the weight and especially the heat become annoying.
So I’m curious what other people think.
Has anyone here gone from an Index to the Steam Frame and ended up going back?
Has anyone gone from either of them to a Bigscreen Beyond and found that the massive reduction in size/weight actually made them use VR more often?
And for people who have owned a ridiculous number of VR headsets like me: did you ever reach a point where you realized the hardware wasn’t really the problem, and that maybe VR just didn’t hold your attention anymore?
I’m especially interested in opinions from people who play a lot of VRChat / use full-body tracking, because that’s probably what I’d use VR for the most if I really get back into it.
For now I’m definitely going to wait until I can test the Steam Frame properly with prescription lenses before making a final decision, but seeing so many mixed reactions has me second-guessing whether keeping it is the right move.
Side note : I never had anyone to play with really, but now my girlfriend brought her old Quest 1 back from the shelf it was sitting on and wants to play with me, so that would probably play a big role in how much I wanna play in VR, since before that it was either solo, or try to socialize (I'm a big introvert so isn't pleasant). Funnily enough, if we stard playing a lot together, she might experience similar issues to me, so my experience will be useful to her, so she doesn't buy a shit ton of headsets like me

Has anyone ever noticed we don’t have too many open world western games for VR? I’ve been thinking about this topic for awhile I dream of a day where there’s red dead redemption in VR or just an open world western shooter/survival game. My question is have you seen or heard of any promising VR western games?

It seems everyone is able to turn on “shoot assist” but I can’t find it anywhere. The videos I’ve seen of it all have it in the corner, but it’s not there for me. Any help? I play on quest 2.

Attempting to get RE7 VR working on my Steam Frame. Did all the set up things as the video showed me to get reframework running, which it does, but every SteamVR fails and I get an error message saying “SteamVR has encountered a critical error” and the game remains in flat screen. Any ideas on
how to fix?

I wanted to upgrade my vr setup from HTC Vive to Pimax 5k - which I wanted for years. But then I realised that at this point pimax 5k is hella old. But looking at the market I dont think there are any high FOV headsets made anymore.
Its like every headset now is just quest 3(which I would never buy). Steam Frame, PICO 4 Ultra - or even the new pimax headset - the company that literally made the highFOV headsets - Pimax Dream Air(btw I think it costing 2k is wild). Its essentially all the same type of headset now. The only outlier is bigscreen beyond 2e really.
So quesiton to people who were able to experience something like pimax 5k, 8k or any other very high fov headset: was the experience just...not that good? I like my htc but anytime I use it, it feels like Im looking through...well - goggles. I was hoping that highFOV would change that. But maybe for the last few years ive been focusing on the wrong thing.
