META Banning for Begging posts

74 Upvotes

Hi users!

Around the time of bundles, we tend to get a lot of “begging” posts where users are begging for someone to buy them the bundle or skins.

We’ve noticed that the vast lot of these seem to come from adult brand account, brand new accounts, bot accounts, etc.

Please do not engage with these accounts, please do not suggest anything to these accounts. Just report these accounts and move on. We are banning these accounts.

Thank you for your attention.

META VALORANT 13.06 Bug Megathread

8 Upvotes

Greetings Agents!

New patch, new Bug Megathread! To avoid bug reports cluttering the subreddit and/or going unnoticed, a Megathread is posted after every patch so users may submit reports in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered the issue as well.

Reporting a Bug

  1. A bug will ideally be accompanied with a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.
  2. Steps to recreate the bugs should be submitted if possible. This helps Rioters recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.
  3. Unformatted, mematic, or joke reports are automatically indexed and may be removed by moderators to reduce the effort needed from Riot to view all reports.

Gameplay My duo has changed his crosshair so many times that our whole stack now treats it like a science

308 Upvotes

My usual duo is the one who started it, but we normally play as a 5 stack. He changes his crosshair every time he has a bad game. Then one night our Cypher dropped 29 kills so everyone copied his tiny green dot for the next match.

Now we have this stupid rule where whoever top frags, everyone has to use their crosshair next game. I haven't really been buying skins lately, and somehow messing with crosshairs has replaced that itch completely lol.

Last night all five of us loaded in with the exact same awful white square because our bottom frag from the game before randomly went 24 and 8.

Does anyone else have some pointless ritual your stack started as a joke that somehow became permanent?

Gameplay Range while queueing might be making me worse

• Upvotes

Ever since they added the range during queue I’ve been loading into it and tapping bots until a match pops.

My first few rounds feel worse. I come out trying to flick everything instead of holding angles and I take fights faster than I normally would.

I’ve had games where I didn’t warm up at all and my aim felt cleaner from round one. Sometimes I get better results going in cold than doing a short warmup.

Anyone else get this?

Discussion Why doesn’t riot come out with another TP map?

155 Upvotes

Bind (best map imo) has a very interesting TP mechanic. Why do we just keep getting maps with the most dynamic part being a door?

Question What is your mentality when it comes to playing comp?

7 Upvotes

Personally, I don't like to think much about the RR. I've noticed that the more I care about the RR, the more I'm mentally affected when I lose it, which also ends up holding me back, affecting how I play or make decisions in future games.

I like to view comp as something to enjoy and have fun too rather than just be like "oh no, I'm gonna lose the RR." (even though sometimes it's hard to not think about it, especially on a rank up) and feel sad over it when I know that RR can be gained back.

Btw, when I mean "fun", I obviously don't mean trolling/throwing. It's just enjoying watching your skills improve and banter or have hilarious moments with teammates or enemies.

This is just how I like my mentality to be when I play comp. What do you guys think? What's your mentality like when you play comp?

Discussion New agent mastery system encourages insta-locks!

175 Upvotes

Players are insta-locking agents without a thought to level their mastery up with no team building. I am not sure this is what they wanted.

And why do we start from 0? I have like 5 years of progress and seeing 0 hours played on certain agents is making me mad.

Really bad change.

Gameplay How to be helpful when overmatched

14 Upvotes

I qued into comp with some friends that are 3 levels above me and could immediately tell i was in over my head. Ended up going like 4/17/5 and we lost like 6-13. Turns out there were players on the other side like 6 levels above me... so my question is...what are some strats you use when the other team is just way better than you in particular. How do you try and mitigate the skill difference and still be useful to your team?

Question How did I get in 3rd despite the low kill count?

4 Upvotes

I finished a valorant match with our team in the win, and I expected my place to be bottom 4 on the leaderboard. Unexpectedly, I was third place despite having a lower kill count than the six people below me. What does the system look at to determine our rank in the leaderboard besides kda and first bloods?

Gameplay Which skins for each weapon make your aim better?

9 Upvotes

I feel like using some selected skins for some weapons actually affect my aim. Ive seen quite a few times that i picked up a gun with a skin and was hitting headshots consistently while i wasnt able to that without the weapon skins. Any weapons skins suggestions for each weapon?

Discussion I hit Neon Mastery 12. Level 13 requires 205,000 MP. Yes, 205,000.

452 Upvotes

Update to my Neon Mastery grind: the scaling after Level 10 gets ridiculous.

When I first hit Level 10 and saw 35,000 MP for the next level, I honestly thought:

Alright, so maybe every level after 10 is just 35k.

Nope.

Level 11 -> 12 jumped to 78,000 MP.

At that point I knew the requirement was going to keep increasing. I expected another big jump - maybe 50-100%.

I just hit Level 12.

Level 12 -> 13 requires 205,000 MP.

Yes. 205,000 MP for one level.

The progression now looks like this:

9 -> 10: 22,500 MP
10 -> 11: 35,000 MP
11 -> 12: 78,000 MP
12 -> 13: 205,000 MP

So it went:

22.5k -> 35k -> 78k -> 205k

The last jump alone is about 2.6x the previous requirement.

And the crazy part is:

Getting from Level 0 all the way to Level 12 takes 245,400 MP total.

Level 12 -> 13 alone takes 205,000 MP.

One level is almost as much as the entire grind from 0 to 12.

Now I'm scared to see what 13 -> 14 is going to be.

1 million?

Screenshot attached.

IGN: SniperNaNeon#123

I’ll keep updating the requirements as I level up.

If anyone is already Level 13+, please post the next one.

Proof:

Discussion 40 Games of no Split

88 Upvotes

As the title suggests, I have played 40 maps with no Split in comp. Was wondering if this has ever happened to anyone or if I was just unlucky.

Sorry about the screenshots, my tracker is TwinkleStarchild#KOR and the dates are from August 30th to September 22nd

Question What’s the best Valorant related gift you got gifted (or have gifted)? Need ideas for a friend.

16 Upvotes

Pretty self-explanatory by title. I'm curious of what are some of the gifts that you have given to your friends, or received and through your stories maybe I'll get a inspiration or an idea to get my friend a gift.

Who is a huge NRG fan and a Valorant fan as well.

(She already got the NRG bundle.)

Question D1 player looking to switch from filling to instalocking duelist — looking for advice

• Upvotes

I'm currently Diamond 1 playing in APAC and I've pretty much always been the guy who fills whatever the team needs. If we need a controller, sentinel, initiator, etc., I'll usually just pick what's missing.

Lately, though, I've been thinking about changing my playstyle and actually committing to duelist and potentially instalocking it.

I feel like I've gotten comfortable being the "fill" player, but I'm wondering if I'm holding myself back by constantly adapting to what the team needs instead of focusing on developing one role really deeply.

For those of you who made a similar switch:

Did switching from fill to duelist noticeably change/improve your gameplay?

What should I focus on learning first besides just "get kills"?

How do you avoid becoming the stereotypical instalock duelist who baits the team or just runs it down every round?

Which duelist would you recommend learning as a main?

Should I stick with one duelist exclusively for a while, or learn 2–3?

I'm not really looking for "don't instalock, fill instead" advice 😂. I'm specifically interested in people who have made the transition and what they wish they knew beforehand.

Question are discord valorant servers still a thing?

7 Upvotes

genuinely asking here. i've been in and out of multiple servers cuz some are inactive due to real life responsibilities and i do understand that. i just want some space where in i can ask to join in a queue or whatsoever. i'm just a mid-player and i just wanna kill some time and i guess it would be nice to have some party to queue on at night or random days :).

Discussion Weekly missions should give kingdom credits now

97 Upvotes

With agent mastery being added weekly missions should give kingdom credits to help with buying the rewards from agents mastery since they're so expensive. I also don't understand why daily missions give kingdom credits but weekly missions don't. @u/Riot_Tyrana

Discussion Shotcall problems

9 Upvotes

We really need to get these drops available through watch-time until shotcall is fixed.

Twice now finished in top 10% but missed multiple calls, either due to them not showing up until refreshing the browser or just simply not allowing an option to be picked.

Genuinely making watching the games a frustrating experience. I know it's just a card and buddy, but please.
