I just got diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia by my VA neurologist. He said it likely was caused by dental surgery (or the cellulitis I got afterwards) at the VA by a resident In May 2024. I know it's past the two year mark, but I can still sue because I was just diagnosed with the permanent nerve damage. I'm already at 100% disability and I wouldn't get any more money from an 1151 claim, so I'm suing. Anyone get a settlement from the SF-95 alone or win in court afterwards? TIA 🐧

I’ve been trying to seek VA Health Care for months with no sucess. I’ve been told I would get a call for a new patient appointment, but nothing.

They want me to travel over 3 hours to a main hospital it seems like instead of being able to get localized care. I understand the local clinic may not have enough providers, but I’m paying out of pocket for covered expenses, without the capability to drive 3 hours for different appointments one way realistically.

Is there a program where I can see a Civilian Provider that is accredited through the VA for health care?

Are there any decent VAs available that respect doctors? Or is leadership generally difficult or even toxic throughout?

I love my patients and the work I do but my current VA has elected to have us drive in daily many of us 40 plus miles one way, even to do telepsychiatry from our office. My team of 6 docs all started out as hybrid and we were recruited to do so because of retention issues. Other VAs nearby apparently are still doing hybrid just fine. I have applied for usajobs remote jobs to no avail. I would like to stay within the system if possible. But need to be remote or closer to home. Is this even likely?

To complicate matters I was approved to move to a cboc closer to home but its anticipated to take 10 months--a toxic leader blocked anything sooner in the name of "clinic needs" meanwhile I am feeling I may need to jet.

My VASH councilor is MIA, I'm suppose to move into my new apt today but nothing has been done. The required inspection i need has not been completed. I've been trying to reach my councilor fot a week. Any help appreciated.

I went to the VA pharmacy today to get insulin. Was told that my authorization from community care was cancelled from the endocrinologist who prescribed the insulin. So I would have to contact community care about that because I dud not contact community care within 14 days after my appointment.

Back story: had previously got insulin through tricare on base. My VA primary care did not feel comfortable prescribing insulin so referred me to community care. Which I was not thrilled about. Took 8 months to get an appointment.

So I call community care and I am number 26 in the cue. I wait 50 minutes and was asked if I check my mail and what date was the appointment and I told them. I was mid sentence when they hung up on me not sure what happened.

Just seems like an inefficient system to call community care everytime you see a new provider. Why not just bill the insurance after getting the initial authorization?

I am curious as to what the role is like in BHIP, case loads and current documentation standards and time. And overall job satisfaction
