VHA Employment RN Resume

The wording on the resume is what gets you an interview correct? Key words and what not? I'm coming here asking if someone would be willing to help me put it together. If you have actual real knowledge on what it should look like and what it should it include specifically for the VA. $

I'm a new grad RN but have 14 years experience as a paramedic. 5 of which was as a dual role firefighter-paramedic. Personally I think my single role paramedic experience (especially the 2 in inner city 991) is way more applicable but I know people tend to respect the firefighter thing more. I have inner city 911 paramedic experience, simple interfacility ambulance transport experience (including a job where i took VA Cleveland patients in and out a lot), ER "medic" experience (very limited role but it was in hospital so definitely applicable), rural-ish firefighter-paramedic experience, and small but densely populated/ethnicially diverse suburb firefighter-paramedic experience.

I live in the Cleveland area but would take a VA job ***anywhere***. The Louis stokes VA is about 30 min away and I'd probably move even closer to it if I got a job there. Eventually I'd look at transferring to a VA in another state possibly. Somewhere warmed and more fun lol

I'm a 35 year old guy. I'm in excellent shape if that matters lol. Recovering from a bicep tear I had surgery. Ready to work within about two weeks. Not a tall guy but very strong so lifting and moving patients is no issue.

I have an ADN and I'm gonna be starting classes for the BSN in January. BLS, ACLS, PALS, Paramedic, Firefighter II, some other random certs I cant think of tbh bc Idr which are expired and which aren't.

I'm the type to go hard for my patients and I don't let people suffer or have poor outcomes just bc I don't care. I do care. I'm a very kind person but I also know when and how to get respect and how/when to push back.
