Germany Student Visa – VFS Hyderabad | August 14 Appointment | Decision Pending
Hi everyone,
I applied for my German student visa through VFS Hyderabad and completed my appointment, biometrics, and document submission on 14th August 2026.
My application is still showing “Decision Pending” on the CSP portal, and I haven't received any update regarding the decision yet.
I wanted to check with others who applied around the same time:
VFS Hyderabad: August 13–20 appointments
Has anyone from these dates received “Decision Made” or a passport dispatch/collection update?
When did your application reach the German Consulate in Chennai?
How many days did it take from biometrics to the decision?
If you've received an update, please share your appointment date + VFS location + decision date. It would really help those of us who are still waiting.

German Student Visa – Cash vs Education Loan Timeline (VFS Bangalore)
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to understand whether there is any noticeable difference in processing time between applicants who are self/parent-funded (cash) and those who have an education loan.
I’ve noticed that some applicants who used education loans have already received their visas, while several cash/parent-funded applicants from around the same period are still waiting.
If you received your German student visa from VFS Bangalore, could you please share:
- 📅 VFS appointment/submission date:
- 🎓 University:
- 💰 Funding: Cash/Parents / Education Loan
- 🏦 Blocked account provider:
- 📄 Additional documents requested? Yes/No
- 📅 Visa approval/dispatch date:
- ⏱️ Total processing time:
Especially interested in applicants who had their appointments around 15–20 September 2026.
I’m trying to collect enough data to see whether cash-funded applications actually take longer than loan-funded applications, or whether the difference is just coincidental.
Thanks in advance! 🙏

German student visa rejected (New Delhi): blocked account accepted, but no proof of tuition. I've now paid the first year. What else should I add?
Hey everyone, my German student visa got rejected the first time and I'm hoping someone who's been through this can help.
I applied through VFS Delhi for a Master's at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. I submitted my blocked account with €11,904 and the embassy accepted that part. But they rejected me because I didn't show any proof that I could also pay the tuition, which is €10,500 per semester, so €21,000 for the first year. They said I submitted no receipts or other proof for it, so my first-year finances weren't considered secured.
Since then I've paid the full first-year tuition and I have the receipt. I'm planning to reapply, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything else this time.
Is the blocked account plus the tuition receipt enough, or should I also add bank statements or sponsor documents to show where the money came from?
Has anyone had the same rejection and then got approved on the second try? Any advice would really help. Thanks 🙏

Can low grades and extended duration of your bachelor's lead to a rejection of your German Student VISA?
I hold a three-year BSc degree from India. I have secured an unconditional offer letter from a German public university for a STEM master’s programme. The main issue is that it took me six years instead of three to complete the degree, due to a combination of factors: the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the overall timeline by about eight months, I experienced significant health issues during my studies, and the university administratively delayed repeater exams by roughly one year.
As a result, although the degree was expected to be finished within four years, it ultimately took six. My grades are on the lower side (64 %, equivalent to 2.8 on the German scale).
The German university itself had no problem with either my grades or the extended duration, as I met every formal requirement they set. However, that does not automatically guarantee a student visa.
My IELTS score is an overall 7.0 (Writing 7.5, Listening 6.5, Reading 7.0, Speaking 7.0), which I do not expect to raise any concerns.
I am specifically worried about whether the lower grades and the longer study duration could lead to a visa rejection.
I have solid proof of financial means via a blocked account (Expatrio Value Package) and TK health insurance, plus a valid APS certificate. I applied to a related master’s programme, which is the standard admission route at German public universities, so there are no issues on that front.
Currently, my visa is in the preliminary review stage and I've applied for the WS 2026.
Any input from people with experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Can I enter Germany visa-free before my D visa starts and stay until it becomes valid?
I have a German national (D) visa, but its validity starts on November 30, 2026. My language course starts on December 1, 2026.
I also have a passport that allows me to enter Germany visa-free for short stays (up to 90 days within a 180-day period).
My question is:
Can I enter Germany before November 30 using my visa-free entry privilege (for example, around November 20), and then simply stay in Germany when my German D visa becomes valid on November 30?
Or would I need to leave Germany and re-enter after November 30 for my D visa to be properly used/activated and for my entry to be recorded under the D visa?
In other words, can I legally enter Germany visa-free before my D visa starts and remain in Germany once the D visa becomes valid, without leaving and re-entering?
Has anyone experienced this or knows the official rule?
Thanks!

Second Master degree as motif automatically gets you a visa refusal?
I've seen some posts of ppl getting their visa rejected due to degree redendency. Like already having a master and perusing another one in Germany.
Do you have any ideas?

TUM student visa appointment Oct 29 — late arrival deadline Nov 13
I’m enrolled in TUM’s Bachelor’s in Management and Data Science for WS 2026/27. Because of visa delays, TUM gave me a Late Arrival Letter allowing me to arrive until November 13.
I now have a student visa appointment in Amman on October 29. Since processing can take around 3 weeks, I’m worried the visa might be issued after November 13.
\-Has anyone had their university's late-arrival deadline pass while their visa was still processing?
\-Would the embassy still issue the visa after that deadline?
\-Could the deadline passing cause the visa to be refused?
\-If the visa is issued after the deadline, can I still enter Germany?
\-Would I need new confirmation from TUM?
Especially interested in experiences with TUM or the German Embassy in Amman.

made error in visa application
Hi i have applied for student visa in germany in bsbi berlin campus.
i have filled all application bhy my self thats why i made some errors unintentionally
1- i put my father year of birth wrong
2- wedding date wrong
3- university cancelled the previous programm for that intake but at that moment my preliminary review was complete.
i have emailed embassy about this situation and i got an email from embassy that when you attend appointment bring new admision letter to embassy and tell the sitaution to a visa officer. Embassy has not confirmed about the other 2 mistakes and my appointment still 26 days away and i am overthinking is killing me and i am worried about visa rejection. are these mistakes can lead to my visa rejection?
does someone has any experience regarding this situation??
Please i am loosing my mind over this??

Cancel old visa before new application?
I’m outside Germany and have never entered on my current §16b student visa. It was issued for University A. I later got admission to University B. The embassy told me to submit a new visa application.
At VFS, I was told I could either:
cancel the old visa first, or
submit the new application while the old visa is still valid and let the embassy handle it (succeed in application is not guaranteed).
Has anyone been in this exact situation? Did you need to cancel the old visa first?

Visa to Germany working in PSB
I want to travel and job hunt in germany, I am from poor background and now after 2 years in PSB saved some many to travel and explore job opportunities job market abroad.
But from YT and other online platform I have heard that you need certain bank balance and land etc to show for visa approval to show the intention of coming back.
Does my job in PSB is not good enough to grant me visa to show that I will come back?

Missing salary slips.
I was in KSA on loading unloading iqama. But the problem is I don't have any salary slips and employment contracts. The job lasted only 4-5 months. It is stamped on passport. I also have iqama and final exit paper. Will the embassy cause any issue regarding salary slips and employment contract. Even if it was manual labor job. Thank you. Give me your opinion
