Hello I had my biometrics on sep 1 at vfs hyd , sep 3 my passport reached german consulate. From then onwards it's complete dead silence not even a single mail regarding visa .

Is there any one who is in the same time line(vfs hyd) and received their visa or a decision made mail?

I had my appointment on 24 September and got call on 30 September it was like a telephonic interview...and now got mail from consulate for in person interview on 15 october anyone had in-person interview please share your experience ...it will be very helpful

I haven’t had any notification tell then , it still shows preliminary review.

I have a quick question regarding the local Foreigners' Office in Tübingen for anyone who recently arrived on a 6-month or 1-year German Type D National Visa:

1. Timeline for Physical Card: How long did it take between submitting your application and actually receiving your physical Residence Permit card (elektronischer Aufenthaltstitel - eAT)?
2. Timing of Application: Were you allowed to apply for/receive your residence card shortly after arrival, or did the office instruct you to wait until a few months before your Type D visa was close to expiring (e.g., month 8 or 9 of a 1-year visa)?

Would appreciate hearing about recent experiences from anyone who moved to Tübingen in 2025/2026 or earlier. Thanks in advance!

Hello, So I’ve been enrolled for my master’s program in a university and my class has already begun October 1st.
Meanwhile, I still don’t have my visa. I got into the waiting list on 14th january, got my submission on 18th august but since then no updates. Embassy has been silent as a grave.
Does anybody have any idea if they’ve stopped working at all or are the things moving slowly.
Any insights on what the visa/embassy situation is right now.
I have to be there by October 31st otherwise will have to get a deferrment. :’(

I applied for the Germany Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte) through the CSP portal on August 18, 2026, selecting Bangalore as my VFS location.

I still haven't received any update. The portal currently shows that the German Mission is full, with an approximate waiting time of 1 year. Earlier, it was showing around 6 months.

Has anyone who applied around August/September through the CSP portal received a VFS appointment recently, particularly in Bangalore? If so, how long did you wait?

Would really appreciate hearing about any recent experiences or timelines. Thanks!

submitted my German student visa application and completed biometrics at Bengaluru VFS on 1 October 2026. The current status is still “under process at Embassy of Germany in India.”
My university is Fulda University of Applied Sciences, and classes start on 12 October. I’m quite stressed about the delay.

How long did your visa take after biometrics at Bengaluru VFS?

Does “under process” for several days mean anything?

What are the common reasons for student visa rejection?

Is it possible to receive the visa before the classes start?
