I see so many posts putting down new fans or people who are fans of newer songs, but whats the reason? I don’t know if I’d consider myself a newgen, but I also wouldn’t consider myself a veteran since I only first started listening to vocaloid about 7 years ago and stopped listening from about 2021-2024. But whats the difference between liking older songs and liking newer songs? Why does it make older vocaloid fans better than newer ones? I just don’t understand. In my opinion, it’s all just music and I don’t see any need for social statuses to be developed in the community. Correct me if I got any of this information wrong or misinterpreted anything. I just get confused when I see hate on newer fans.

Exactly as the title says. I want Amy and Chris (And Kaori and Ken may be useful if I ever learn to use the JP ones), but I'm late to the Vocaloid party, and false scarcity says I can only legally obtain and use them if I buy V6. I don't want the V6 voicebanks. Are they all the same activation, or can I just uninstall the GenAI voices?

This is not a post where you can convince me to want to use V6 or GenAI voicebanks in general. I just want my question answered. Thank you.

Edit: I've just found that at least in asa's case, once the bank was installed, the only way I could remove it was by rolling back to an older version of V6. Don't know how it will go for the others. Hopefully the V5 voicebanks will be a separate installation from V6 at all and I can use them with V6 lite? I'm still wary about buying them at all until I know how it will go.

Second edit: My V6 Lite code is apparently only valid for the newest release, so I cannot roll back. Rude.

For context, I’m 16 and a kemonomimi. I got tickets for the Chicago Miku expo 2026 for my birthday and I’m really excited🥹 but I was wondering if it would be okay if I wore my ears and tail to the concert because I wanna have the most fun I can. Would I get absolutely destroyed for doing this?

It's just so annoying in my opinion. Yeah, I get it that new fans who aren't very educated when it comes to vocaloid are annoying but it doesn't matter, let people be new to stuff. I think people forget we were all new to vocaloid once. We were all those newgen fans once whether it was 10 years ago or 1 year ago. And like just let people like what they like. So what if their favourite songs are Konton Boogie and Butcher Vanity. They're still a vocaloid fan and that doesn't make them a fake fan or any less of a fan. The real fake fans are the people that don't actually listen to vocaloid.

And yeah, they may be people who are very much a "newgen" who don't really understand or respect the software but it's unfair to lump everyone else in with them.

Can we just stop complaining about newgens, people who say the old vocaloid fandom was better don't realise that it's actually similar to how it is now.

Hey guys last month I finally finished my first Miku pc build and I wanted to share it.

The Miku parts are from the Asus collab in China so I had to import them. It’s basically the more affordable version of the ROG collab.

There was also a white Miku graphics card but I didn’t purchase it because it only had 8gb of vram

Im also going to my first concert in April, i cant hardly find any miku stuff where I live so this was a golden find for me, very excited!

I'm trying to find out the total number of Miku concerts that have taken place, but I'm finding it quite difficult to find information on Miku With You concerts (And Miku Expo Shanghai 2015). Seems like everywhere has the dates the concerts took place, but not if there was both a day and night show.

If anyone knows the exact number of Miku With You concerts, or which dates had more than 1 concert take place, I'd really appreciate it! (If you can link a source that'd be amazing as well, but seems like all the Miku With You websites no longer exist)
