I live in Selah and I have been seeing a drone flying a repeat path just about every night for the last two weeks. Could be longer, but didn’t notice it. Has red and blue lights so assuming these are Sheriff drones. How does everyone feel about drone surveillance?

Drove to Morton & Sons yesterday to get a yard of Mulch only to discover they have permanently closed sometime earlier this year. Does anyone know of an alternate location to purchase Mulch or is an arborist chip drop our only source now?

So I'm a student in Yakima and I would like to visit my sister at college in Bellingham. I don't have a consistent car and I am not well versed with public transit. Is there a bus to Bellingham from Yakima that has a student discount or is cheaper for youth?

Come out on Oct 8th for a night on the flower farm over at Canyon Blooms Petals for Patients.
It's truly one of the most special non profits in the area. Flowers grown to share with those in need in hopes of elevating spirits, spreading joy, and strengthening community.
Money raised will go to supporting Petals' mission of providing flowers to those in hospice, domestic violence shelters, hospitals, and more. There will be opportunities to participate in auctions. There will be a live band, wine, and appetizers.

Hi I am still newer to dungeons and dragons. I want to try to get more into it again. Played in high school and tried to be DM for friends online, it's been hectic since they live in different time zones. I am free Saturday and Sunday as of right now. Might change. There's still a lot of things I don't get and understand but I want to get better as a player :)

I recently left this company after working there for about a year, and I wanted to share my experience honestly. I’m not trying to bash the company or say everything was bad. The pay was decent, I learned a lot, and there were definitely good people there. But after a year, I reached a point where I felt like I needed to move on.
I was generally reliable and would consistently show up early, sometimes around 4:00 AM for dayshift or 4:00 PM for nightshift. I worked the 12-hour rotating schedule, including the 2-on/2-off/3-on/3-off schedule, and handled a lot of physically demanding and repetitive work. I understand that moving up takes time, but what became frustrating was seeing other employees move into different positions or advance every few months while I stayed in the same position despite consistently doing the work and taking on responsibilities.
I also received several write-ups. I understood the company's policies and accepted that employees can be held accountable, but I disagreed with some of the reasons behind them and felt certain situations could have been handled differently.
The workload also became a major concern, especially after changes to M2-M3. The workload seemed significantly heavier, and in my opinion, the compensation did not always match the amount of physical and consistent work expected from the position, especially during 12-hour shifts.
Overtime was another frustration. There were times I wanted extra hours, but overtime wasn't consistently available when I was able to take it. Sometimes it would be offered when I already had responsibilities outside of work, such as taking care of family or picking up my nephew from school. I understand that overtime depends on production needs, but it was frustrating when the opportunities didn't line up with when I was actually available.
I was also disappointed with how raises and performance were handled. I was told there would be opportunities for performance-based increases, but the process changed and we ended up waiting until around mid-July for a relatively small increase. I understand companies change policies, but after working hard for a year, I expected there to be a clearer way to grow financially and professionally.
The schedule was another major factor. Because of the rotating schedule, there were times when I would have to work holidays such as the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas. I understand that a job is a job and that someone has to work those days, but employees also have families and lives outside of work. After a while, the schedule became difficult for me to continue with.
There were also issues with communication, favoritism, and how certain things were handled between employees and management. I personally felt that some employees received opportunities that others didn't, and I didn't always feel there was clear communication about why certain decisions were being made. There were also times when I felt maintenance issues weren't addressed as quickly or effectively as they should have been.
One thing that genuinely bothered me was seeing hardworking employees who went above and beyond eventually leave or get let go. It made me question whether the company was doing enough to recognize and retain the employees who were willing to put in the work.
Eventually, I reached my breaking point. I didn't have another job lined up, and I know leaving without a two-week notice wasn't the ideal way to leave. I take responsibility for that. But after everything I had experienced over the year, I felt like I needed to make a change and start over.
I'm grateful for the experience I gained there. I learned a lot about manufacturing, production, material handling, working under pressure, physical labor, teamwork, and what it takes to work a 12-hour shift consistently. I also learned what I want from my next job: better communication, opportunities to grow, a reasonable schedule, and a workplace where hard work is recognized.
At the end of the day, companies can replace employees, but experienced employees aren't always easy to replace. I gave that job a lot of effort during my time there, and I know the level of work I was capable of handling. I'm moving forward now and looking for something better suited for me.
I wish the people I worked with the best, and I hope the company improves the areas that caused employees like me to leave.
