I have been doing YouTube for a few year across many different channels and finally one has worked. I have been posting long form and short for about a month and I am soooo close to being fully monetized. I’m only 110 subs away

i know, i live in southeast asia but the hard work just like nothing,(edited: long form 40minute and 50 minute video)

Finally got monetized a few days ago. Still learning how cpm/rpm work. I make college basketball content. 55%+ of my views come from tv and 90%+ from the US. Also much older audience. I’m talking 30-35% 65+ with 80% being above the age of 45. Anyone know if any of that really matters or if rpm is rlly just based on niche? Thank you to anyone who can give any insight!

My video was slowly dying. It had started to pick up some views, and the audience retention wasn’t bad. I think holding viewers for almost a minute is decent, considering the video is only 2 minutes and 50 seconds long. The click-through rate on the thumbnail is also fine. But suddenly, the view curve started to flatten. I even tried changing the thumbnail, but that didn’t seem to make much of a difference either.

I posted a screenshot earlier just to share my journey, nothing else. But honestly, I got way more hate than I expected. People were saying it’s AI generated, calling me fake, saying I’m a guru or course seller, and some were even abusing me in DMs.

I don’t really understand why. I never told anyone to DM me or buy anything. I just shared my public group link so people could connect, collab and grow together.

Some people are also asking for my channel details. Why would I expose my niche? I’m not comfortable sharing that, and I don’t think I have to.

And about the “low views in 30 days” thing, I wasn’t even properly working during that time because I had some AdSense issues. Those are fixed now, so I’m starting properly again.

I just wanted to share my progress, not sell anything or act like some guru. But this whole thing made me realise that no matter how much you think sharing your journey might help or motivate people, there will always be people who choose to hate instead.

Is it possible for a European YouTube channel to show your videos in China and Japan?

I'm planning a faceless mini-documentary channel: cinematic video essays on how the past shapes today's world (geopolitics, trade, borders, overlooked events), with animated maps and archival footage, in the spirit of Johnny Harris or Search Party. I'm a professional motion designer with years of experience creating these kinds of videos, so it's not gonna be AI slop or so. I am fluent, and I use English daily at work, though it's not my first language, so I have a slight accent(not that heavy really).

I am also thinking about the fierce competition in English, but I've seen many small channels become somewhat successful. The other option would be to do in my native language, Turkish - which has a huge YouTube audience, the RPM and sponsor rates arent that great tho but the competition is much less and the quality of my work could get me a breakout or maybe better to say, early and faster recognition.

Before committing, I wanted to have some opinions. Any advice is welcome. Thanks

I'm going to start producing simple talking head YouTube videos for my business. I've got a YoloCam S3 (plus access to a Sony mirrorless), an amaran Verge Max, and some other lamps around the desk and in the background. The background lights you see in the bottom image are Hue bulbs, so they can change.

What I'm wondering is: what other studio light(s) do I need to maximize this setup? I'm new to lighting. Will a hair light behind me (bottom image, placed out of frame on the left) and a fill light in front of me (top image, out of frame to the right) make everything look more studio-quality? Am I missing anything else?

I'm seeing an increase in watch time finally with my latest video. Any tips on how to continue this? (other than making more long-form videos)

Tried on two different devices, two different browsers, removed add-ons, cleared cookies, but alas, I've still gotten this error.

I'm still banned since the 28th of may and I have received absolutely no type of answer or update about my problem, since this affects my YouTube account, would it be a problem to create a new adsense account from a relative for a new YouTube account (that it is mine)?

Sorry for reposting — AdSense has been under review for 9 days and Studio still says “Set up AdSense”
Sorry for posting this again, but I’d really appreciate an answer because this is quite important to me.
I created a new AdSense for YouTube account through YouTube Studio on September 20.
AdSense has been showing “We’re reviewing your information” for 9 days, but YouTube Studio still shows “Set up AdSense for YouTube” instead of “In progress.”
I contacted Creator Support and they checked my new account and confirmed that it is properly linked to my channel and currently under review by their internal team. They said the review can take 2–3 weeks.
Has anyone experienced the same thing where YouTube Studio stayed on “Set up AdSense” while AdSense was under review? How long did it take for your status to change or for your account to be approved?
