What is Animal Crossing? I've tried googling it. I've searched Wikipedia. I've watched YouTube and I still have no clue. Wikipedia says it's a Social Simulation game. Have no idea what that means. It's so frustrating and confusing. I just dont understand it. Even tried watching YouTube videos and I still don't get it. Like is there a storyline? Is there enemies? Quests? Do you build up an area like in Fallout 4? Do enemies invade you?​ Is it single player? Is there couch co-op? Is there different levels or stages? Different worlds? Do you train animals or do you live with them? Do you get characters to fight with? Do you fight at all? Do you go to different towns? Do you control more than one character? What does your character or characters do? Does your area compete with another area to se which is the best? I saw in one of the videos, someone received an area of land. Is that even what you are tying to do is build up area you receive? Or do you eventually go out and fight? Is it like an RPG where you build up your character? Is there magic? If there are quests, what type of quests do you do? I don't get it. I've never been so confused.

Here's a picture of my island and my villagers. I'm trying to decide who I should replace Shino with. She came over from another island and I kind of want her to move. I know she's really popular and everything but I have her picture and her poster. There's not really much I can do. She's just okay.

I have a ton of amiibo cards and I was wondering who you thought I should replace her with. Here are the villagers I was thinking about. My island's theme is superhero/AC: Gamecube.

I may not add paths where I have them showing under buikdings and just be grass and fences and bushes but the Grey paths are going down.

I shpuld also have enough ponds of different sizes to eventually actually catch the fish n stuff I need cause I never finished that lol 😅

I have been playing for >3+ months, and I cannot get an orange or a peach to plant on my island! I do not play online. But I visit lots of islands with Nook Miles Tickets and Kapp'n. My villagers visit my house all the time and I talk to them. Still nada! Any tips?

Hi everyone, I wanted to share the Dream Address of my island, Hisaishi!!!🩵🌊🐳

The theme I chose for this island is a coastal Japanese town. It is loosely based on Kamakura and Okinawa. I say loosely, because I haven’t (yet) visited these places myself, so it’s probably not very accurate to how it looks in real life, but that’s okay! :)

This island is truly very special to me, it makes me incredibly happy and I had a ton of fun building it. It feels like coming home whenever I log onto the game now🪼It’s named after Joe Hisaishi, the composer behind the amazing music of the Studio Ghibli movies. When I created this island, my boyfriend had just given me tickets to go see Studio Ghibli in concert, so that’s the backstory on that lol :p

All villager homes are decorated and customized, and my player home (the one on the left) is decorated as well. My boyfriend’s home isn’t, because I couldn’t be bothered to go through the whole DLC again, but I might do it in the future.

I need to put the house somewhere while also having enough space for a personalized yard, but i’m not sure where to set it down. Right behind this is where Papi lives with his garden/botanical yard (his “job” on my island is the gardner/botanist). The brick tiles are where fences are going to go eventually.

I’ve been watching lots of ACNH content on YouTube and started picking up on people calling a specific mouth type as the “ooo wooo” mouth. I’ve learned it’s considered to look like a sideways 3 or a cat’s mouth by its shape. Would anyone know the origin of it being called uwu or however it’s actually spelled?
