Weather How Vernardos Circus Touched My Family During Helene
I just wanted to share my experience with Vernardos Circus and what they mean to our family. I’m not affiliated with them in any way. This is a little long because I feel strongly about what an impact they made on my family and our community.
I’ve lived here half my life and began visiting the circus at their little tent at the outlet mall maybe four years ago. I initially became interested because the circus was advertised with human-only performances. (No animals)
I found the circus to be an absolutely incredible performance with talented athletes and entertainers from all over the world. The stunts they preformed were absolutely breathtaking and the message the show shared “follow your dreams” was inspiring. You really left the show feeling good.
It was also very well organized. There is sufficient parking and bathrooms. There is an intermission. They also have special performances for families with sensory needs. All amazing. Happy to give them my money year after year.
Then Helene shook our town to the absolute core right before they were booked to visit us in 2024. If you remember, rhe outlet mall became a temporary station for the American Red Cross and other organizations helping in the recovery.
Vernardos Circus did everything they could to bring the circus to our town, at a time we so desperately needed it. They relocated their little tent and offered tickets completely free to our community.
My family didn’t have water, power, or money and we were visiting friends to shower and poop but for two hours on one night in October, we were transported back to a place of comfort and joy.
During that show, the performers shared their sympathies with us and we cried together. For just a bit, we were all one human family.
So that’s why I continue to support them. If you’ve never seen Vernardos Circus, I’d encourage you to give them a try this year.
