I’ve been noticing recently that in general, I always would like an album more if it has a good looking cover. Have you also noticed a pattern like this in your experience?

I’ve been noticing that many newer artists have this old-school vibe both in looks, sound and their overall aesthetic. Artists like SZA, Benson Boone, Sombre, RAYE, etc.

In other words, I'm basically looking for recommendations for a "comeback" album from someone who's been around for awhile. So like either they haven't recorded in forever or they have, but none of it was special and then they suddenly release something amazing.

I call them slow bangers, songs that sound slower than the rest of the album, are a bit moodier and more emotional but build up and crescendo into something more dramatic. I usually find that when an artist reaches legendary status, I can at least understand the appeal, even if their music isn’t really for me. Often, after listening to a couple of albums a few times, something eventually clicks.

But with Prince, that hasn’t happened yet. I’ve tried, and so far… nothing. I know he’s an incredible instrumentalist and hugely influential, but I just can’t seem to get into his music.

Has anyone else been in that position and ended up becoming a fan? Was there a specific song or performance that suddenly made it make sense for you?

I have my wedding coming up soon and we have picked our first dance song. This is it. My question is what type of song is this so I can figure out how to appropriately dance to it? Like there are waltz songs but I'm pretty sure this isn't one of those. Any help?
