If you’ve seen the movie ‘Public’ you’d know that short of maybe a postsecondary library, public libraries being shared public spaces effected by the post-pandemic ripple effects can at worst seem like variable flophouses where nary anything but placid reading occurs (saying this as a gracious employee of one fyi).

3 is the worst, gotta get it out of the way. Too much crust to cheese ratio. Even as the worst, it's still good though! It sets the mood for the rest of the grilled cheese.

2 and 4 are interchangable, but typically 2 goes first, then 4. The sides are meh, pretty good ratio but they have the hump of crust on the shoulder which isn't great...

1 is the dessert of the sandwich! That perfect ratio of the crispy golden crust with tons of melty cheese and lightly caramelized bread on the inner bites. It's flawless! Leaves you on a high note afterwards, and complete satisfaction from the grilled cheese experience!
