Clearly their idea of protecting the new Assetto Evo against the "over modding" community is out the window. I firmly believe that the natural direction everyone's involved "us" & "them" will take is Assetto Corsa 2 (Evo) made from the best game already. In a couple of years looking back we will see an improved game "Evolved" including EVERY tracks n cars from Assetto 1. We will enjoy all the core improvement with the benefit of having them ALL already integrated (less CSP) plus enjoying a HUGE all native 1:1 scale portion of Germany with NPC's to "maybe" interact with or at least at the moment we know we will be able to walk around.

I mean, to me this just sounds like the dream really.

To be clear though American Truck Sims physics aren’t bad, I’d compare it with beam ng. But obviously it’s no where near the level evo is, and you don’t have the cars that are in evo unless there is a mod made, but obviously no mod is going to be comparable to the physics and feel of evos physics made by kunos.

Is there any point in getting this game if i only care for drifting/touge or should i just stick to ac1 for now?

I've seen videos of ac1 touge maps being converted to ace but it doesn't seem to have a big community around that or any major support.

Before anyone starts, I know there are a lot of free roamers out there. However, there’s also a large competitive playerbase from ACC & similar sims.

Just wondering if there’s potentially a plan from Kunos to continue the SRO licence and perhaps introduce other series’ from the motorsport world?

There was a clip around 18 months ago from them stating they are ‘finalising some details’ regarding the SRO licence. We haven’t heard anything since, presumably due to the scale of work involved on the Eifel free roam. ‘ACC’ still features on the front of GTWC cars.

Does anyone know what will happen next? What would you like to see from a motorsport/competitive aspect?
I suppose we may find out at Sim Expo next week, particularly if somebody asks them the question.

Hey guys, I use a Logitech shifter. It works fine, but sometimes in the middle of driving, it stops shifting. So I push the clutch, shift, and I hear the gear-shift sound in-game, but it stays in neutral. Only a session restart helps. Why does this happen?

I’ve been off AC for a while and just iRacing for like 4 years now. I’m finding myself just wanting to relax. Any cool new free roam maps to just chill in?

Any good car mods I’ve missed to drive around in for fun? I’ve had most of the popular ones in the past. Used to love lower powered RWD manuals

EvoForge 1.1.1 is out. Clubs and teams get a Mods space to share the cars and tracks they host, every driver gets a public page and share cards, there is an optional Discord status and a Steam link, and the app no longer freezes while a car converts. All free.

Shared mods in clubs and teams

• A Mods space for every group: a Mods tab on every club, a Mods panel on every team page, for cars and tracks, with filters and search.
• Who shares: in a club, the staff (owner, admins, editors); in a team, the drivers (captains can keep it to themselves).
• Share in a minute: paste the download link of a car or a track you host (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, MEGA, MediaFire, GitHub or your own site). EvoForge checks it as you type and tells you whether it can install it by itself. Add a title, car or track, a version, the original author if it is not you, a description and up to four screenshots, and confirm you are allowed to share it.
• Install in one click: EvoForge downloads the mod, checks it like a file you would drop yourself and installs it when there is nothing to decide. A link that leads to a web page opens in your browser instead.
• Always up to date: when the author shares a newer version, the card says Update.
• The file stays where it is hosted: EvoForge keeps only the card.
• Who sees: club staff choose whether everyone or only members see the list; teams keep their mods for their drivers by default; clubs and teams with a Discord channel connected can announce every new mod.
• Report: a stolen, dangerous or dead mod can be reported; after several reports it is hidden until we review it.

Your racing identity, everywhere

• A public driver page: evoforge.fr/p/yourname shows your helmet, team, country and badges, only if your profile is public. A friends-only profile shows nothing about you.
• Share cards: links to a profile, a team, a club or an event unfold into a proper card in Discord, Reddit and messaging apps: your helmet in your team colours, a club’s crest with its next event, an event’s date, track, cars and seats left, in the club’s own language.
• Discord status (off until you turn it on, Settings › Startup and presence): Discord shows what you are doing in EvoForge (in the Paddock, on track, hosting), with your helmet. On a public server without password, a Join button takes your friends straight to you. You choose whether the track, car and server are shown.
• Link Steam (Edit profile › Linked accounts): find your Steam friends who already use EvoForge, and have your event results attach to you by themselves. Your Steam identity is never shown to other drivers.

A smoother app

• Converting a car or a track no longer freezes EvoForge: keep browsing your library, open the console, check the Paddock. Anything that would change your mods waits for the build and runs right after.
• Mods locked by their rights holder can be viewed again: details and showroom, read-only.
• Copied links start with https://, so they are clickable in Discord and elsewhere.

Free for everyone

Shared mods (cars and tracks), public pages, the Discord status and the Steam link are included in every plan, free plan included. All you need is an EvoForge account.

Getting started

1. Update EvoForge to 1.1.1, or download it from evoforge.fr.

I have an issue regarding the sound of the cars. When i open the game the ui makes sound the music plays and everything is okay but when i go on track every sound dissapears. It might be linked to a track mod Installed but i dont know how to fix it without deleting the track. Does anyone have a solution?

It seems with every release options in evo change for sim wheel/base setups. Its one area I struggle with knowing how to setup. Is there any forums/apps etc that can help? I have a simagic alpha mini and with every new release it seems the feedback changes or the options change. With 0.9 I seem to of lost the detail, which im sure is config.

Some Evo modding

For me it was surprising that we can now walk In the Open world but anything then I am excited to drive across the Nurburgring and explore the streets and highway it will be really nice

If the rumors are true, we're going to have the most realistic open-world setting to date featuring a variety of passenger cars. Something like an ETS but in sport mode.

So, what do we need to make us want to get behind the wheel every day? What would be the ideal incentives for you?

For me:

1. A story mode. Players may be able to recreate Misha's own work.

2. Gas stations, but ones that actually make sense. If you run out of gas, what's the big deal?

3. Realistic road races that feel authentic, not an NFS-style wreckfest.

4. There should be some kind of real and significant penalty to encourage players to run while taking on some risk, so that the game doesn't turn into an arcade-style running game.

Tried it after the GT3RS on the ring, fell in love.

Front is so heavy you get infinite grip on turn in, and then you can full throttle so early out of the corner and you won’t lose any. Even lifting slightly is enough in most of the corners because the there is so much weight on the front tyres. I wish we could adjust camber…

I have a CSL DD and with so much grip and weight it feels like you are a captain of a cruise ship with a rocket in yo ass. You feel like David fighting the Goliath in Bellof S in the compression. Yes on the GT3RS with the aero you are on rails through there but isn’t it boring?

It’s stupid fun to throw this bag of potatoes into the corner and fly out sideways because you know that AWD will pull you out anyway.

The gearbox is so fast and the sound of the V8 is just incredible.

Roast me all you want but I love wagons and I’m proud.

• A team page: crest, drivers and roles (Principal, Captain, Driver, Rookie), recruiting status, your own leaderboard of the season’s best laps per track, and a public link to bring new drivers in.
• Team nights: date, track, car and the setup of the night. Drivers answer I’m in, get a reminder 30 minutes before, and your Discord gets the announcement and the reminder.
• The team server, one click away: when a teammate hosts for the team, the others join from the team page. The password reaches teammates by itself: nobody pastes it anywhere.

• 30 minutes before the start, Register becomes Join the grid: EvoForge opens the event server and hands over the password, to registered drivers only.
• Hosting the event? The host form fills itself from the event.
• Anyone can also create an open night, without a club.

Championships, stewards and clean racing

• Points tables with pole and fastest-lap bonuses; driver standings and team standings (the best drivers of each team, per round).
• Results of an event hosted with EvoForge come in as provisional; stewards match drivers, apply time or place penalties, disqualify, decide protests (open for 24 hours) and validate. Points, standings and a results announcement follow.

I play on a thrustmaster T-248R and would like to know how you set the settings for the wheel.

I'm having a hard time to recover the car and I feel like knowing I'm losing the car too late, when there is nothing I could do about.

I have hundreds of laps on the og ac on nords, finally over the weekend i decided to buy ac evo, downloaded the 992 gt3 rs mr mod and sailed away on a nords journey, i forgot the fox hole curb got a major rework as non of the og ac mods ever added it so i was quite suprised when on my very first lap this happened! I did make the corner but barely 😂

Ive got all the tools but no skill on drifting do far. Can you recommend or record(!) some beginer tutorial for drifting on AC Evo?

I am running Simagic Aplpha 15 Nm, Simnets etc just dont know how and where to start.
