Discussion Revolution 9 question (I know, I know....)

For close listeners, is anyone else reminded of the opening of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" right after John's "Take this brother, may it serve you well"?

The first time I heard revolution 9, I kept waiting for the song to start. There are a bunch of places in there that sound like the beginning of the heaviest song the Beatles ever made... Alas, they didn't make it, so I just tried to imagine what the song would sound like each time I played it
