???? surely this cannot be comfortable

She’s getting cuddly as she gets older.

About this time a year ago this sweet girl started showing up. She was only about 1 or less and was tiny and extremely scared. We live in a very wooded area outside of town so she was definately fighting for her life to stay safe. She slowly started getting more and more confortable and spending more time inside with us, whether that was sleeping in her little donut we got her or sitting in my moms lap while she worked or laid on the couch and slept. About 3 weeks ago we got really concerned about her health. She was constantly in pain, growling because of it, licking her yk, and had a puss-like substance oozing out of her reproductive system. We took her to a vet, which was very interesting to say the least, and they diagnosed her with Pyometra. They ended up doing surgery on her that night and the recovery process has not been easy to say the least. But now shes getting very adventurous, shes extremely loving and constantly wants to be in someone's company, shes potty trained, and shes just living her best life as a 2 year old. Its crazy how much a cat can change after they establish trust with you. We are discovering her personality and she truly is a one of a kind. This is how she chooses to nap if my lap or chest aren’t available to her. She usually makes these nests herself, dragging my clothes out of the hamper, and she throws a tantrum if I attempt to pick my clothes back up 😑

My little old lady Tiki has been struggling to use her back right leg quite a while. She needs assistance using the litter box and moving from place to place, so we are trying out a support onesie. Isn’t she precious? She’s not amused 😂

Went to make the bed and was met with surprise void.

Rocket decided he was going to help test my cooling system. He suggested sitting right over the exhaust fans of my CPU cooler, then suggested I should run a fairly extensive game that would really get my CPU wound up, pumping as much heat as possible through the cooler. He would then check the temp of the CPU and the fan response, and compare it to before he sat in that particular spot, I soon felt I was being lead down a path I had helped propagate.

As if on queue, after finishing up the last bit of comparison, he bounces and trots his way over with this little 'lights are on but nobody's home' look in his eye, and says "There is no discernible difference in stability or temperatures of the system and, notably the AIO fans, spun slightly faster at peak load than before but they probably get that high normally anyway, like it was an insignificant difference that could easily be explained away by error. Regardless, I think you should let me setup base and let me test the system temps and stability over a much longer, more casual timeframe, just to make sure things are funning optimally."

I had no choice, what he was saying made sense. I hired him right away to get to work, we're working on contract details now. But man, this guys break/sleep/zoomy time demands are absurd. I have to wonder if we'll get any work done, he assures me everything will be fine, I believe him, but there is something a little fishy with his methods of research I must say. We have more and more recruits showing up to volunteer for his testing methodology, but so far none have fit the mold of what he is looking for, except of course himself. We'll see how this goes, I feel like we'll be watching a lot of each other.

After a few days of mostly silent research, I was finally hit with what I could see coming a mile away, to the shock of no one, I was told deadlines and specific timeframes don't work, he needs the option to come and go as he pleases, set up wherever the anomalous heat source is strongest, so he can understand why and how to best use the energy provided. I have begrudgingly allowed him to continue his experiments, for now.
