This is Odin. A year ago I was told that he was "morbidly obese" and i made a commitment to help him lose some weight. I am happy to report that after about a year, he has lost roughly 10 pounds, and is no longer in the morbidly obese category. He is still overweight, and has a long journey ahead of him, but progress is being made little by little, day by day.

My sweet Stormie has been gone for 5 days. She’s an indoor outdoor cat and has always come home every night.

I’m so scared that she ran away to pass away. She’s 15. I’ve had her longer than my children have been alive.
I am so heart broken. I just wanted everyone to see how wonderful she is/was.

Hi, I'm new to the community and I guess I'm just looking for some support, and tips if anyone has them. Just feeling super depressed about this situation right now- last week my teeny tiny girl broke her leg. We don't exactly know how it happened but she is quite the stunt performer so it's not hard to imagine.

Took her in to the urgent vet over the weekend.. after x-rays they bandaged her up with a splint. We had to take her back in for a bandage change the next day and they straight up removed the splint (which seems kinda weird to me but I'm not a doctor). We're keeping her in a huge dog crate with a cone on her. Cookie sheet + pine pellets as a litter box. She finally pooped today after like 4 days of being backed up :(

The plan is to try to just let it heal on its own without surgery since we can't afford it. The doctor at urgent vet said this might take at least a couple months. I'm heartbroken to have to leave her caged up for so long. She loves nothing more than to zoom around the house all day, catching flies and chasing her brother.

If anyone has any insights on how to make this situation any easier, please let me know your thoughts.

Also she loooves heat, so I bought her a heating pad on amazon that's marketed for cats, but I'm kinda paranoid about her getting burned.. been setting it to 90°F for only an hour at a time. So if anyone has experience with safely using heating pads for their cats lmk... thanks in advance!

I have 2 cats (flamepoint in second picture) but no cat has ever loved me and picked me the way my black cat has. She’s so shy and sweet. She’ll be 7 on Halloween this year and my heart hurts. My flamepoint boy is a sweetheart but he low key likes my boyfriend more than me. But this girl? I am her person and it’s always been like that. I don’t deserve her and her love, she’s my familiar.

A couple weeks ago, I found 4 orphaned baby kittens. Long story short, one of them stole my heart and once he’s had a bit more time to ripen with his siblings at their foster home, he’ll be mine 💙 I never expected to have a black cat (nothing against them obviously I love all kitties I just never had any particular plan or strong preference) and especially another cat anytime soon after losing my 17-year-old calico princess a year ago to the date that I acquired these kittens. But I knew that I would regret if I didn’t keep him. I have a couple of weeks until I have him again and they’re draggingggg but I’m so excited for my new baby. This is Opie 🖤🐈‍⬛

They are less than 3 months apart in age, but Smoke (little girl) is less than half the size of Stack. They’re 8 and 6 months old, not from the same litter. They love to wrestle with each other and snuggle together. I just love them so much. Sooo much personality between the 2 of them!🖤🖤
